I bought these for my husband who has wide feet. I discovered that Birkenstock's regular width is wide enough. He loves them! Also, I had checked around to get the best price & everyone else charged the same but shipping wasn't free so it would have cost more. And overnight delivery is awesome!!

Black Arizonas were out literally everywhere and I'm so glad I could find them at Zappos! I went back and forth on the width and decided to go with a narrow. I have a pretty average size foot and have never had to buy narrow or wide specialty sizes. I'm so glad I did because they fit perfectly. I had tried on the wide and they felt huge on me. I normally wear a size 7 and bought a 37 in these, which translates to a size 6-6.5. The length was great. The first few times wearing them were uncomfortable as I do not have a very high arch but after they were broken in they were great. The leather was comfy too and didn't rub on my feet or give me blisters. Highly recommend!

Growing up I thought that Birkenstocks were for hippies. They sure did not look comfortable with no cushions. About 10 years ago the wife and I each bought a pair real cheap at Costco. That footbed was the key, simple good support so you did not need anything more. I have never stopped wearing them since until we recently moved and could not find my old pair so I ordered a replacement pair with the cushioned footbed. I did not really need the cushioning, and it eoll probably go flat in time, but the original footbed design is still there underneath (I assume) so it should not be a problem. I wear them almost continuously around the house and nothing has come close to being a replacement they are so comfortable and supportive.

I have problematic heels and the soft sole def helps. I also have very wide feet and could use a little more width but overall GREAT shoes!

I have worn Birkenstocks for 40 years. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. They are also a quality shoe and very long lasting. Birks offer great support and comfort. Did I mention they are comfortable?

OK, to start off, these shoes are not pretty, but I think we all know this going into the deal. I'm a lake rat, live by a large lake in the South and spend all summer and most of the rest of the year in sandals or some sort whenever I can. I got tired of even expensive flip flops lasting *maybe* a summer, so I decided to plunk down the coin for these shoes even though they remind me of my least favorite philosophy professor from my undergrad days. First off, the bad. These are not shoes for the boat or anywhere they might get wet. The soles don't feel all that great when wet. The Euro sizing thing can be a bit odd. I wear an 11 dress shoe and an 11.5 running shoe. I bought the 44 and probably should have gone with the 43. That's about it. Well, that and the whole 'these are pretty ugly' in a German efficiency type of way. The good news is these are the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet. Now, they aren't comfortable the first few hours, but once you put a few miles on them they literally conform to the shape of your foot and fit like a second skin. Let me be clear, they are borderline uncomfortable at first. Put a few hours in them a little at a time and eventually you will love the fit. They feel so good on your feet you'll hate the way it feels to walk barefoot when you slip them off. I'll keep these forever and may buy another pair in a darker color. Would absolutely buy again i a heartbeat, money well spent. They've been around for eons for a reason.

Seriously...the best shoes ever! I thought these were going to look tragic on me, but was convinced that I needed to try them and I'm so glad I did. I'm a stay at home mom to my 1 & 3 year old year old boys, so life is nonstop! I even bought my husband a pair and he loves them!

I was concerned about sizing after ordering my first pair of Birkenstocks. I ordered the regular width size 45 that correlates with the size 12 US I always wear. They fit perfect. It took a few days to break them in but after a week have already molded to my feet and are extremely comfortable. Very happy with these sandals.

I have bilateral plantar fasciitis and have to be particular about what shoes I wear. I have worn these shoes for many years and have found them to be the most comfortable shoes available to me. I wear them daily (except for work, where I usually wear other Birks or Naots) and when I wear them out, I purchase another pair. Make sure you give them the full break-in time as they feel like wearing boards at first, but then, ahh, a better shoe cannot be found!

Very comfortable shoes. Bought a pair right before traveling to Asia. They were all I needed there. Worth every penny.

Great everyday sandal. Took a few tries to find the right size and the right fit, but Zappos was amazing! Love the soft foodbed. It doesn't have the hard toe ridge that the original footbed has. I have both and I just think this one is more comfortable from the start. I think I have a fairly average width foot and I ordered the narrow.

The most comfortable sandals in existence. If you are debating going with the more expensive footbed: do it. It's well worth the cost. I've had all of the types of Birks and these are definitely the way to go. They get a little funky if they get dirty, but wash well.

These are great sandals! I have had them for 3 days now and I love them so far. They are taking a bit to break in but are very conformable overall. If you have Birks that are the regular foot bed, I would stick with it and not get the soft foot bed. I like the soft myself but you can tell it provides a different feel overall.

Nice leather, good quality. I am sure they will last a long time, as have other Birks that I have had for quite awhile. These will go with anything. I find them a bit wide, but have adjusted the straps to the smallest size. Imitations do not hold a candle to the originals. Worth the money!

I already owned a pair of the dark brown suede Arizonas with soft footbed, decided to get the smooth leather for a different look. These are just as comfortable, no break in period at all for me. The copper buckles on the tobacco color are a nice touch. Remember narrow in Birkies = normal width in most other shoes.

I always wanted a pair of Birkenstocks...I have flat feet and have painful feet with certain shoes. Was a Kalso Earth girl until they started making their shoes cheap...but still the spendy price tag. Ordered the Arizona in brown amalfi in the soft foot bed. I can honestly say they fit like a glove. I never had to break them in like other people have stated. I wear these shoes from the time I get up to when I go to sleep. I wish Birkenstock made a sneaker. Only thing about the leather is Do not get them wet! Love these shoes.

Amazing sandals! Best purchase ever taking into account that is an iconic sandal. Especially this spring-summer season! Want to use them all the time!

I've worn this style for years and find it supremely comfortably and timeless. The Hunter Brown color is GORGEOUS! Love it and will wear it forever.

I had to reorder because the size 7 (40) were too large. They did not feel all that comfortable so I decided to go smaller. The size 39 fits as they should on my arches. The Naots I ordered in size 7 are fine and true to size. Thus, I would say that Birkenstocks run half a size larger so half a size smaller should fit correctly. I tried one of these size 39 sandals on one foot with a size 7 Naot that I received on the other foot to see what the difference was. Both felt like the same sandal! That was strange! However, when wearing them separately they each felt slightly different in their own way. I'll keep both the Naots and the Birkenstocks. Zappos is great and exceeds expectations in customer service for fast delivery times and in handling returns.

The soft bed meant that these shoes are reasonably comfortable right away, instead of requiring the typical Birkenstock break in period.

I really like it. It is kind of fashionable and also very comfortable. When I first time tried it on, I can actually feel the difference between the Birkenstock and other brand of sandals. It is worth the money I paid.

I live in these things! Always have two pairs on hand and replace them every two years. Birkenstock should give me a free pair for all that I've bought over the years! Anyway, can't do without them in my daily life but they won't get you any closer to finding a new spouse when your all alone.

My husband has had his first pair of Birkenstock's for approximately 10 years and they still looked great. However, we were going on a trip for our Anniversary and I felt he should have a new pair just like the ones he loves. When he opened them up, you'd thought I'd given him a million dollars! He loves them!

I love slip on shoes, (sandals), I was very dubious about buying these shoes for a long time. I tried about three other brands, but they were like bedroom slippers, so I finally tried a pair of Birkenstocks. Initially I did not like them,they were not comfortable, and were hard to walk with. I remembered reading that they would mold to your feet, after a couple of weeks they did mold to the shape of my foot, and now I feel like they were custom made just for my feet. The shoes are very attractive, and I really like them a lot. They are very pricey, I hope they last a long time. I wish they had more styles to choose from. I hope to go on welfare soon, then I can afford to buy another pair.

This is my 2nd pair of Birkenstocks, but the first with the soft footbed. The regular ones were always comfortable in the past , but the soft footbed is wonderful for my newly acquired foot problems. Birkenstocks last for years, and can be re-soled at a shoemaker for even more wear.
