Love these sandals! They may not be the most feminine shoes but they are very comfortable and supportive. I'm struggling with minor plantar fasciitis issues. I wore these right out of the box and had total support with no break-in period. These are the first Birks I've had with the soft footbed. It's fantastic! Will be shopping for other styles to wear this summer. Worth every penny.

I love these sandals - waiting for the weather to warm up so I can wear them. Bought them in black and white. I tried them in regular and narrow since I have a narrow heel, but in the end the footbed seemed to fit best with the regulars, and I can adjust the buckles to fit snugly. I have developed plantar fasciitis since last summer and think these will be great. Not sure why I never tried Birkenstocks before. I think I was afraid they'd slip off but the wide straps and the molded footbed really seem to hold them in place.

First of all, Zappos is AMAZING. I had a really hard time figuring out the length of the shoe and the width that fit me best. I am an average size US 8. I wear 7 1/2 in high heels and I wear an 8 in EVERYTHING else. So, naturally, i went for the 39 because generally, I am never in the 7 size range. They were way too long and didn't fit comfortably - when my heels were all the way back in the shoe (as recommended), my toes did not grasp the toe grip naturally. There was too much space behind the heel. I also ordered them in the narrow length, as I read many of these reviews here on Zappos. A lot of reviewers said that even if you are not usually a narrow, order a narrow. This was a little misleading - I did a little more research and saw on the Birk website that if you let your foot rest naturally on the ground and if the part of your foot right underneath your big toe protrudes from your toe line even a little, then the regular width is recommended. So I returned them and got a 38, still narrow in the black patent leather (LOVE). They fit like a glove, arch support feels little stiff but will need some breaking in the footbed - the straps are a little stiff but as expected. Now there is a staple on the top strap that is causing some odd discomfort ever so slightly, but I think this will become more comfortable over time. However, the narrow still felt wrong. I had both straps on the second hole and it just felt a little too snug. I read reviews about tightening the strap, and there's no tightening these babies! The narrow width ALSO has to do with your INSTEP (the measurement of your foot where your foot meets your ankle on top) Now I consider that part of my foot to be a little deep, if you will - Definitely much deeper than the measurement around just above my toes on my foot. With the 38 narrow, it was a great length but the toes did touch the rim, which is NOT a good fit. My mom threw the box away so after a live chat (super nice and helpful), they made an exception for me and let me return the sandals without the original box after verifying some key information. They even exchanged for the regular width, same size, free of charge - with a promise that I would ship out the narrow sandals within 14 days. So awesome. Hope this was helpful, because I am the queen of reading 100 reviews before buying. Go with the regular width first. I don't even consider myself to have wide feet, but my toes fan out when I stand and Birks are not supposed to be so tight on your skin on the sides. Good luck and happy shopping.

I live in Birkenstocks and am so happy when new colors come out. I have worn out two pairs of black patent and look forward to wearing out the grey, as well.

I am in LOVE with these! I tried them on in store so I knew which size to order. I am usually a size 6.5-7, and I ordered a 36 narrow and they fit like a glove. I spent a long time deciding on all the details, but I am more than satisfied with the black leather and the soft foot bed is to die for. 10/10 reccommend.

I have several pairs of Birkenstocks, but these, by far, are my very favorite! These are so very comfortable - with the soft footbed and the leather uppers. I highly recommend these shoes - they are worth the money!

Love these. So comfortable. I live in AZ, so I can wear these all year round! Perfect thing to slip on when I go to walk my dog. I wouldn't say they go with any outfit, but they can go with a cute black summer dress or when I'm feeling lazy in jean shorts and a t-shirt! I would recommend them to anyone who wants a comfy, versatile sandal! Love Birkenstocks! If you tend to have somewhat narrow feet, I would get the narrow version. My feet can vary from narrow to regular sized, and the narrow in these fit perfectly!

Birkenstocks never disappoint. They always fit the way you expect them to. I always tell friends, "Once you've worn Birkenstocks, you'll never not wear Birkenstocks.

The website should let you know that "soft bed" sandals also means low arch - that's what I need and use! These shoes are unbelievably comfortable. I use them indoors and outdoors for my plantar fasciitis and they work miracles!

These shoes rock! I have a pair of Giza that I bought from Zappos which I love the style but didn't feel they were that comfortable. So I turned to the Soft footbed Arizonas and I'm so glad I did! They are so comfortable the straps are taking a bit of time to break in so it rubs but it's not to bad. I had thought the Tobacco color was more shimmery based on the photo but they are more of a taupe color which I don't mind. I actually love the color because it's not common color you see everyone with. If you want a super comfortable last forever shoe the Birkenstock Arizona Softbed Is the way to go! Buy it Now!

First of all let me say how absolutely wonderful zappos is. I originally ordered this shoe in a 39 narrow based on customer reviews - (I typically wear an 8 1/2.) The shoe was too narrow for me and I thought it might be the type of leather. So I called zappos and they exchanged it for the same style in a suede leather size 39 regular. When I received it, I just didn't like the suede at all for the purpose I had in mind. So I then called Zappos again for yet another exchange to the Habana soft footbed in a 39 regular. They stated that they do not normally exchange shoes three times but would kindly do so as a one time courtesy for me. Success at last! This was exactly the right fit and style for me! We do not have a local store that sells Birkenstocks so I was having to go by other reviews to try and get what I wanted. With Zappos great customer service and expedient delivery, I finally achieved my goal! Thank you Zappos! You're the best!

Birkenstock has the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Decided to splurge on a third pair and I am not disappointed! I wore my old birkenstock sandals throughout my whole pregnancy because I had such sore feet and they helped so much! Any other sandal and my feet would be hurting within an hour. Plus-Zappos has the best service (free return shipping if needed). They will have my service for a lifetime!

Very comfortable! Been long while since I have worn Birkenstock. I used to have an older model and this is a newer one with more cushion in the footliner section.

my first pair of Birks lasted me 10 years so when they were completely beat it was a no brainer to spend the money and purchase another pair. this time i got the soft footbed and I love them even more. I bought the normal width size and they are a little wide but I'm fine with that. I highly recommend buying a pair.

My favorite shoes! I have literally wore them everyday since I have received them! The black definitely gives it a "chic" edge. The softbed sole is awesome because it did not require breaking the shoes in as Birks I have gotten in the past.

Expect pain the first week or so to wear these beauts in, but after that it's smooth sailing! For such a comfortable shoe, it's actually surprising how fast they were to break-in if you wear them as often as possible. A tip is to leave them out in the sun so they are a little less hard when new. No regrets, will definitely buy another pair one day.

This is my 2nd pair of soft bed Arizona's. These are my favorite shoe ever! I wear them all day everyday from the minute I wake up to its time for bed. These are the only shoes that have no break in period for me...they are great right out of the box! I will definitely order this sandal forever! Birkenstocks rock for flat feet...no pain whatsoever!

What can I say? It's a Birk, so you know that quality is good. Made in Deutschland and all that. Fit was true for my foot, but then again I don't usually have issues with that. If you know you have specific feet, probably best not to shop online for shoes, you know? I wear them all summer.

I have had problems with my feet for the last year. This is the best shoe for my feet that I have found. The footbed is great! I love how it cradles my heel. The arch support is perfect!

Very comfortable! Very crunchy! The leather is a little stiff, but I have had basically no problems or discomfort because of it.

I love these sandals, specifically the soft footbed. I will never not buy the soft footbed style. I'm usually a woman's size 8.5-9 in shoes, and I bought the 39 narrow. If they would have had the 39 regular available at the time of purchase I would have ordered that. However, the narrow fits me better I think. I lucked out I guess. Overall, best shoe I own.

I'm now 40, and since I have been a teenager I have owned a pair of Arizonas. The soft footbed is amazing. These are the best pair of Birks I have ever worn hands down!

Extremely comfortable sandal. Ordered a 41 narrow footbed, I'm a size 10.5, very TTS and fits my narrow foot.
