Fit and size were just as expected. Narrow is truly narrow, so if you're just NOT WIDE stick with regular. Excellent feel to the footbed, love the suede. The black is a bit like very dark grey though.

So glad I bought these. I never thought I’d buy Birkenstock’s because they were never that cool in my opinion. However, I’ve had so many problems with my feet lately and these are like a magic pill. Aahhhh. (And they are way cooler now than I remembered.)

This shoe feels amazing. Because it has the adjustable buckles, I'll be able to wear it w/socks (when it gets cooler) or without .

Of course I love them .. my daughter loves them too .. she has a pair… GROOVY

These are my first Birkenstock's and I love them.

My first purchase of these had to be returned because of a defect on the sole, but Zappos's customer service allowed to make a return and replace them with a new pair that I'm happy with. There is an initial break in period that can be tough, but once we do they become extremely comfortable. Very happy with my purchase l.

I can’t believe that I’m back to wearing shoes that I wore 40 years ago! I love them and the support that they give my feet! I needed to buy the smaller size to get the correct fit. (5-5.5, although I wear 6-6.5 in other shoes)

I need the soft footbed and this pair’s straps stay in place so I can slip them on without bending over to adjust!!

I have super skinny feet with very little arch, so I ordered these in the narrow width and am really happy with the fit. I am a women's size 10 and the sizing was absolutely perfect on the length. I will say that I feel like the shoes run wide - I was already going to order the narrow, but other reviews indicated that the regular width shoes are really wide and advised ordering the narrow even for a 'normal' width foot, so I was pretty confident in my choice. But in my first try-on, I initially had to tighten the straps all the way to the third hole on the top and the second hole on the bottom, knowing I'd have to tighten them down after a break-in period. After a week or two of wear, I've tightened them again so that now I have nowhere to go on the bottom, so hopefully that's where they stay or I'll have to punch my own hole. If we're talking semantics with the product descriptions, I'd say that the 'narrow' should be 'regular' and the 'regular' should really be 'wide'. Having said that, they're comfortable and look great for a casual sandal - as a teen of the 90's who couldn't afford a pair of real Birks the first time they were popular, I'm really happy with my purchase and I think they'll last a long time.

They fit perfectly the color seems a little off. I thought it would be brown but it looks purple! I thought it was just me but when tried them on for my family the first thing they said was “purple”?

I always add extra strap holes. The oiled leather lasts longer than the suede for me which I also own.

love the wider sizing, unfortunately I have bunion forming and these shoes do not put pressure on that area thankfully!
