The Arizona’s are great! The grey leather is darker than the Zappos photo, but not as dark as other reviewers say (black.) I’d say it’s a dark slate that has variation and almost looks like suede even though it’s a smooth leather. The fit and arch is true Birkenstock style. Love these shoes and am contemplating which color I should get for my next pair!

I didn't even know that the soft bed shoes existed, and bought them quite by accident. I love the way they feel, just like slippers. I will never go back to the hard soles. I am sold on these.

This is by far the best sandal I've own bar none! Comfy, easy to slip on and off, and simple good appearance are the pros. I would take extra care not to tread on water infested surfaces or on rainy days since the material (sole) is perishable or bio-degradable.

After one full summer, purchased in 2019, the bottom of the shoe is already starting to wear out. This is my third pair of Birkenstocks and I have to say I only become more and more disappointed at the quality of the shoe. A fairly expensive sandal at $135, I would like to see them last a bit longer maybe five years.

I hate to spoil all the 5 star reviews but these shoes hurt! I know you have to break them in but I've been wearing them for 2 weeks and still my feet are in pain. My arches feel like I have billiard balls strapped to them and at night I lay in bed with horrible burning pain. I have flat feet, a fallen arch in the right foot (the tendon actually ruptured) and severe over-pronation problem. I bought them because of all the great reviews and kept them because I kept thinking they would get more comfortable after I broke them in, but the pain is still excruciating! So now I'm out the money and I still need some comfortable shoes for 2 weeks in Italy this summer.

I ordered these Birks in a size 42 narrow. The fit is perfect. Unfortunately, the Ochre looks more yellow in the Zappo’s photo, but more puke green in person, so back they go.

I love these! They look and feel amazing.

Had to return first set because too big And so I ordered the next size down and in narrow. Now a perfect fit and I am loving being back in Birkenstocks again plus great service from Zappos. Thank you!

I love the soft foot bed, having PF and issues with my4/5 metatarsal bones it feels so good on my feet. Arizona’s are my favorite style & I just love the grey color. Great addition to my Birk Addiction!

Though these sandals have a pretty steep price it is well worth it to me. I absolutely love my Arizonas and will not ever wear another shoe. This was my first soft-bed purchase. These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. And as always Zappos' speedy service keeps me coming back. They even ship quickly to my little unknown town n New Hampshire. Zappos is the best!

Bought these for my husband who is new to Birkenstock. As far as sizing goes, these are consistent with Birkenstock sizes. The regular width is rather wide and the narrow is like a medium, for those unfamiliar with Birkenstock. Length might be slightly longer than other shoes of the same size. Comfort...can't be beat IMO. These are the soft footbed and require no break-in period like the classic footbed does. Got the black oiled leather and it is very soft and a matte finish which surprised me. I would expect an "oiled" leather to be shiny but they are definitely not. I actually really like how these look on my husband. BTW I bought myself a pair of Mayari in blue oiled leather and the leather is not as soft as these black Arizona's and the blue has a bit of shine to them. So even though they are both oiled leather (one black and one blue) they look and feel very different. Going to try to post a photo to show the difference. I actually love them both.

I bought the Brown Amalfi Arizonas in July 2015 and they still look great. Almost time to get them resoled. They came in soft footbed, but I would have preferred to purchase them in original footbeds. The original footbed Birkenstocks may be a little more difficult to break-in out of the box, but they provide much more overall support and mold to your foot. I have always loved Birkenstock shoes. This particular style is great because you can wear them with or without socks. That makes them ideal for more than just one season! They are comfortable and stylish, too. Also, I love Zappos!

I took the time to check out what I needed for a great fit. My family has a history of wearing this brand and I have had a good feeling I would enjoy them myself. When I recieved them I tried them on and they fit very well so all that was needed was break them in and I did. I have not been sorry, They are most confortable after only a couple times of use. Ordering them was a breeze. Zappos kept me informed of their shipping progress and then they were waiting for me on my doorstep. It was a low pressure purchase, just the way I like it.

I bought these sandals because I had read in several reviews that people with plantar fasciitis could wear them without pain. Every person is different when it comes to PF, and for me, these shoes did not alleviate the pain. Otherwise they were a great purchase -- looked great, felt comfortable (aside from my PF), and the color went with anything casual.

I love my birks! I am generally a size 6.5/7 depending on the shoe, and a 37 fits perfectly. I got the narrow width, even though my feet are probably just slightly wider than normal. I heard the regular width is really wide, so I was right to choose the narrow, it works great.

I am a woman who always wears a size 8 shoe. I ordered the size 39 because that was expected to fit 8-8 1/2. I wasn't sure exactly what the fit was supposed to be but the size 39's hurt my feet and my foot slid back and forward when I walked. There was quite a bit of room in front of my toes. The arch support did not feel like it was in the correct place. I was feeling very disappointed in the lack of comfort so I then ordered the size 38 and what a huge difference! Your heel should fit right into the heel depression. Your toes should just about fill the front part of the shoe. If you have extra shoe in front of your toes, try the next size down. The regular width seemed perfect. Getting the correct size is really important with this sandal because of the support that is built into the foot bed of the shoe. I love the 38's and the perfect comfort I now have.

I love this shoe, and have several in different colors. The size is consistent and the shoe is very comfortable My only complaint is that the black dye rubs off on my feet every time I wear them. I've never had this problem with any other Birkenstock, and I've worn them for years (like 35 or 40 years -- I'm an old hippie).

Always loved Birkenstocks but had to return these. It's not clear on the web pic that Brown Amalfi Leather is a VERY GLOSSY leather, like a patented leather. I exchanged these for the Oiled Habana which is like a nubuck leather which my son loves.

I don’t have wide feet, but I don’t exactly have narrow feet either. Due to reviews and Zappo’s fit recommendation, I initially ordered the narrow size, but they were too narrow on the outer side of my feet. I exchanged for the regular width, and am glad I did. They don’t look much wider at all than the narrow size, but the fit is much more comfortable.

I love the Arizona sandal. I bought the suede at the beginning is summer but the suede seems to stretch over time so I had to add another hole. I also tried the oiled leather but the inside of the straps were rough so I returned them. This time I bought the Almalfi leather and they are so comfortable right out of the box. They are not shiny like patent but dressier than the oiled leather that is more of a distressed look. I definitely recommend especially with the soft insole.

LOVE these! I have other Birkenstocks without the soft footbed and I can definitely tell the difference. These are much softer and provide much more support. I live in Texas where the weather is wishy washy so these are perfect pretty much year round either with shorts or pants. The leather is very pretty and super soft. Would highly recommend these!
