A classic. Love these boots in the winter and summer (I wear them loosely laced with shorts for a surprising twist). They're true to fit and comfortable enough to wear all day, so long as you're not walking all day. I'm actually wearing them in the office right now and just received another compliment.

Used to wear the Desert Boot in the '60s and '70s. Rediscovered the exact style on Zappos.com a few years ago and have been buying and wearing them ever since. Love the comfort and style. For me, the sand color is the best for wearing with jeans. Makes a nice match and nice contrast. This is a very versatile shoe/boot and fits nicely with many styles, from shorts and jeans to chinos.

I have waited 60 years for another pair of Clarks desert boots. I wore them when I was in the service...USN--Korea...(just got too busy with life I guess). Now that I am an old man, I indulged myself and I was not disappointed. They are every bit as comfortable as I remember. The only thing that has changed is these old feet and my Clarks are easy on them, too. Thanks.

I think these boots broke in before I made it out the door. You can really do anything in these boots. extremely comfortable. Great heal cup and width (mid width). I and to add more arch support, but I got big ones. Everyone is right and I'm glad I read these reviews before I bought them. Downside! I downsized a half size. Perfect. Cheers!

Back again - Back in the late 60's and early 70's the Desert Boot was my shoe of choice. As a soldier, I wore jump boots/jungle boots all day. My Desert Boots were a welcome change off duty. As I moved around the country and overseas, they became hard to find, and eventually impossible. While shopping with my granddaughter recently she pointed out Clark's Wallabies - her favorite shoe. I inquired of the store clerk about Desert Boots and received a blank stare. Remembering I had bought some "Cute Rain Boots" (a local teenage favorite) for my granddaughter from Zappos I checked the website and was delighted to find my old favorite Desert Boots. Response was fantastic. My order was acknowledged within 2 hours (on a Saturday) and the shoes arrived promptly several days later. They are as comfortable as I remembered and my wife thinks they look great. I will undoubtedly wear them out in due time and will order another pair from Zappos.

Excellent - I bought a pair of these in the eighties and had them for 15 years before I left them at a job that I quit. I only had to change the laces a few times. The color and stitching have been updated slightly on the new pair but they are as awesome as my previous pair. Not for rainy weather!

Zappos did it again! My first pair of Desert boots from Clarks and man am I glad I finally got em. Great looking and got compliments the first time wearing them. And told them where to get them. I am a long time Zappos customer and will be for a long time to come. These boots are great looking with jeans. My women friends love the retro clean look. And my guy friends already want a pair. Thanks again Zappos.

Second pair of Clarks - such a great boot! Had to order 2nd pair 1/2 size smaller...definitely breaks in on first wear. Now it's a perfect fit!

I ordered this pair of Desert Boots when my son came home for Thanksgiving break in what he claimed had been Desert Boots. The laces were gone, the color was nearly black, and in some places the sole was worn completely away. He said they were the most comfortable shoes he's ever owned. So, unable to look at the ruin on his feet, I ordered him and new pair and he was ecstatic! (So was I!)

Classic shoe. I got my first pair of these in the spring of 1989 - during the last semester of my senior year in high school. I wore them nearly every day (even though I'm a skater...these were too cool to not wear) and walked all over with them. I've got a pretty high arch; however, my feet were never bothered by these. I wore these shoes for the next nine years, until donating them in 1998 at my wife's request. When donated, they were still in very good condition. The suede holds up beautifully (though it does get dirty) and the crepe sole - though some fret about it getting dirty (which is part of the charm of the crepe sole) - held up beautifully. Never wore through on the forefoot or heel. I do recommend getting 1/2 size smaller than one normally wears; they used to be made in England where their size 12 US was really 12.5 (or buy based upon the cm measurement).

I looked for a long for these shoes that I wore in high school and finally found them here on Zappos! I ordered them and received them within a week!

These shoes are exactly as advertised and appear to be well made. Sizing was as marked. As recommended waterproofing was applied and to date the shoes held up well and suede color remained unchanged.

Bought these for my son and he loves them. Sizing was true and they are very comfortable. He wears them almost every day to school. Not much arch support, but bottoms are "spongy" so don't feel it as much.

I got these as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves them! He has had a few pairs an continues to buy them!

Lost mine somewhere on California Highway 99! I bought a pair of Beige Clarks Desert Boots with my late grandfather at a famous shoe shop (with a unique display island at its corner. Anybody know/remember this shop?) on Oxford Street, London, England in 1983. It was my best shoe ever. Very comfy and stable on my feet with classic styling! Went to school in Fresno, CA and on a road trip to LA, forgot that I had put them on my bumper while loading the luggage into my car. I only realized my mistake upon nearing Bakersfield! It was gone! Looks like someone's enjoying my size 9's! I'm going to London soon where I hope to buy myself another pair, this time in Tobacco Suede color! As they say, "A classic never goes out of style!"

I'm only 21, but I've been wearing Clarks for years. I'm an avid wearer of the Desert Trek and the Wallabee (both wonderful shoes) and I'm glad to have gotten my first Desert Boot - exceptional shoe! High end suede make for a very smooth, uniform look/ very comfortable as well. Boot is sturdy and stitched very well (as expected from Clarks). Crepe soling very easy on knees and just looks classy! This boot looks well out of the box, but in my experience, the look becomes more legendary with age (in moderation of course). This particular color is very subtle but still makes a statement without saying a word -- cliche aside, great boot! And enough respect to Zappos! Easily the best e-shopping experience to date.

Absolute Class - I wore Deserts as a young boy and felt like a proper adult in them. Now, many years later, I feel the stirrings of a much younger me in my Sand and Black Deserts. There is absolutely no footgear (I can think of) on the same level as my Clarks.

I owned a pair of these many years ago. Putting my feet in a new pair is like meeting up with an old friend. Same easy going fit, soft feel, quality materials. I have a high arch, yet these flat shoes fit just fine. They're the shoes I reach for in the morning, most days.

I ordered shoes at around seven pm one evening (computer is upstairs) and I could swear the shoes were at the door by the time I came down! Zappos has by far the best online service I have ever experienced.

My husband wore these shoes 40 years ago and was so excited to find that they are available again. I purchased them for his Christmas present. He loves them, are exactly what he wanted, but they run about 1/2 size smaller than his regular size 10. Other than the size running small, the shoe is very nice. The leather is soft and pliable, the color was exactly what he wanted and are as well made as they were years ago. Good purchase.
