My husband felt that his feet would hurt if he wore them for any length of time. They seemed do bother his ankle bone on the outside.

Fit and size are OK. The shoes are pretty stiff though. Will take a while to get broken in.

good fit and easy on the wallet. Waterproof, too. For the dollar, a good deal

These are great shoes. My only issue is that I can hardly get the shoe strings loose enough to allow me to put on the shoes without straining to get my foot heels into the shoes. Once they are on, however, the shoes feel great, and my feet like them too.

Although I wear an 8.5-4E in Brooks Addiction Walker, the 2E in this shoe was too roomy for me. I sent it back for an 8.5 D-mediumM. Will let you know if it works. Otherwise, the shoe is nice looking and feels soft inside. Leather looks tough, and the sole has good grip. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price.

A nice, solid work shoe. Not going to win any style contests, but they were comfortable enough to stand in all day and do some walking in. Never felt worried in the New England climate. I think I switched away to get a darker colored shoe with a firmer sole but I'd consider buying these again.

A good, basic shoe that gives value for the price paid. A bit larger than other shoes of the same size but not a dealbreaker - will work well with heavy winter socks, which is important. Plenty of room in the toe box - also very important. Needs a break-in period of a few days. Comfortable and good looking shoes that will work for any occasion except maybe a formal black tie dinner or a night at the opera. Then again, my idea of formal dress is a camo ECWCS parka over black BDU trousers. You be the judge. Believe no one. Be yourself.

Have been wearing these *modestly* priced oxfords as knockaround casual wear for years. I'm too old for sneakers and these aren't too formal to wear for errands. Only have one minor gripe, and that is that this latest pair are the squeakiest shoes I've ever worn. Loud, loud creaking while I walk. Almost comical. Just be prepared to break them in for a while before it lessens. I suppose the leather they use is getting shoddier every year. When they start pebbling it you know it's low grade leather.

I was looking for a shoe to wear to work in heavy snow. I live in an area where we can expect snow six month out of the year. I was initially disappointed when the shoes were delivered. Others had commented that the soles quickly show wear, and based on the sponginess of the material I could see where that might be true. The leather seemed stiff and a little on the thin side. That caused me to worry they may not be comfortable without a long break in period. I considered returning them. A few days later it snowed, and I took a chance and wore them to work. I brought a second pair of shoes, because I did not expect to make it through the day in the Dockers. Not necessary. The shoes were very comfortable out of the box, and I wore them for about 12 hours that first day. They have a boot feel, but looked fine with khakis. I wear an 11EE, and these fit true to size. I have higher quality shoes for everyday wear. However, as a "snow shoe" I am very pleased with these for the price.

I am so sad! I ordered in a batch of four pairs of shoes. This is the one pair that I was very happy with. The only problem was them being slightly too tight. I went to do an exchange and the. largest size is 14. One more size up and I would have been so happy. It is a shame. I really loved everything about these shoes, but they were just one size too small.

I needed black shoes for a trade show and these were the comfortable shoes that I got. They are extremely robust and comfortable. I got a blister in the back of one foot but it is probably due to me being more used to walking boots. No regrets.

These have been my "everyday" shoes for several years. I've gone through three pairs. They seem to run a bit big (I order 10 when in other brands I'm 10.5 or 11), and they have an unusually long break-in period. The leather is *very* stiff at first, but in a couple of weeks it loosens up. The upper is extremely sturdy; I always wear through the sole before anything else fails.

Really nice shoe. Very comfortable and stylish. Would make a good deck shoe because of the super soft and slip-resistant sole. I got these for wet-ground walking and casual wear, but the sole lugs under the ball are already worn flat after only 100 miles of walking. This is not a hiking shoe.

I've had these for 3 months now. My commute to work involves about a mile total of walking each day and these are comfortable enough to do so without blisters or sore spots. It took about a week for them to soften up. The tread handles wet and slick surfaces pretty well. Not fancy enough to wear to a wedding but nice enough for business casual.

Just got the brown ones yesterday and man they look great. They go perfectly with the Docker's pants and belts. They feel good and are easy to take care of. It looks like Docker's are trying to distance themselves from other shoe companies because they are coming out with new stuff quickly. With the thick heel and rubber sole these shoes should last me for at least 2 years. I don't wear them every day so they might last even longer than that! Thanks Dockers, ain't nobody better!

Decent comfort for a moderately priced shoe. Only complaint is insole side wall is high and tends to rub on knob of my ankle bone. Only an issue with thin socks.

I've been buying this exact shoe in 12W for 10 years or more. The last 2 pairs that came marked 12W and are clearly not wide. I returned them with Zappos excellent return policy. At the time Zappos was out of stock. That was perfect, because I didn't want more shoes from that lot. I waited for them to come back in stock, ordered 2 more pair and again they are narrow shoes labeled Wide. Either Dockers changed the design of the shoe, or have quality problems. Customer service reps for both Zappos and Dockers seem unaware of quality problems, but seemed to be returning a scripted answer. I wore one pair for a week to make sure they won't break in, but they aren't. I guess I'll return the other pair, but I'm stuck with the pair I wore. This is a Dockers problem, Zappos has been excellent as usual.

The good news is that the shoes appear well-constructed and look good with a pair of khakis. The bad news is that they are uncomfortable. The leather is stiff and felt like it was cutting into my ankles and less so my forefoot. I foolishly wore them for a few weeks thinking that the leather would soften over time, but at this point I've given up on them. If these don't feel good on your feet the first time you wear them, send them back. They don't get better with time.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?
