Love the Margrete!!! The Margrete is my favorite style of Dansko Shoes. I own four other types and love them all, but these are more feminine & seem lighter. I once wore these for a four hour clogging dance session because my regular shoes got to hurting my feet and my feet felt great after! Danskos Rule!

A lightweight summery sandal - I ordered he Dansko Margrete in Butterscotch and I love the way they look with the wooden soles. I own two other styles of Dansko's and I was amazed at how light these ones are! I expected them to be somewaht chunkier and heavier but instead they are a lightweight summery shoe. I wore them on a long walk one day and they did rub the tops of my toes a bit, but I'm hoping this is something I can break in.

This is my most favorite style of dansko shoe. They are the most comfortable and durable shoe I own. I have them in several colors and wish that they made them in more colors like green, teal, blue.

Dansko Margrete - Got these for my sister who is on her feet most of the day. She just loves them and has paired them with all kinds of outfits - they go with almost anything. Danskos are the only shoes that keep her feet from hurting and we'll be ordering more.

Dansko lovin' doc - I love Dansko shoes and own several pairs. I ordered these in brown and was a bit put off by the orange stitching on them. However, they are extremely comfortable and the look is quite versatile. Like my other Danskos, these are shoes that feel good even after long hours on my feet and I can even run in them in an emergency.

a waitresses' dream shoe - You cannot find another shoe that beats the comfort of this shoe. It is perfect for waitressing or any other profession which requires being on your feet all day. They are stylish, sexy and versatile. As a waitress I wore the black ones with black socks and I even left them on after work because they were so light weight and comfortable.

Margrete — my favorite Dansko clog — is back! I was so happy to learn that Dansko has re-introduced its cutaway mary jane Margrete clog after an absence of a few years. The new, smooth Latigo leather is nice, though I wish Dansko would also offer it in oiled nubuck, as it previously did. It's a relatively feminine-looking shoe you can walk miles in — comfortably!

Couldn't be Happier!!! I love love love love love my new Danskos! The Margrete's are my 4th pair and I think maybe my favorites. I got them in red and they are my new dress up shoes, but I can also wear them with a pair of jeans.

These shoes have saved my feet, knees, hips & back.\r\n\r\nI have a very active job and am typically on my feet for 8-14 hours a day, most of those hours on very hard walking surfaces (stone, concrete, marble tile).\r\n\r\nI put up with foot, calf, knee, hip & lower back fatigue every day for two years at this job simply because I thought I HAD to...\r\n\r\nand then one day I was killing time waiting for a friend and wandered into a shoe store and saw the Danskos a colleague of mine always swore by.\r\n\r\nI tried them on.\r\nI bought them on the spot.\r\n\r\nDanskos in their classic shapes have a somewhat heavy appearance-- they are clogs, afterall, and blocky-looking. But try them on and you will see-- they are suprisingly light! The soles are thick, but they\'re made of a material that is light and extremely shock-absorbant. They are also surprisingly QUIET on the hard surfaces I walk on all day.\r\n\r\nThe curve of the footbed works extremely well with the natural shape of the foot. There is a rise to the heel, so they\'re not like Earth Shoes or others that drop the heel into a well (which is good for other stuff), but the rise feels comfortable and incredibly natural. The arch support is superb without being obnoxious-- it doesn\'t take any getting used to. The toe-box is wide enough for the natural spread of the forefoot-- no squashed toes, no bunions, no corns here.\r\n\r\nThese shoes offer excellent support without feeling too rigid or in need of breaking in.\r\n\r\nThey are the most natural-feeling structured shoe I have ever worn in my life. They have saved my body and given me hours back in my day simply by alleviating so much physical fatigue that used to build up in my lower body. I cannot praise the comfort of these shoes enough.\r\n\r\nThe style of this model is a little easier to take, too, if you\'re not into the heavier clog styles. They\'re cute, and I get a lot of compliments on them.\r\n\r\nOnly drawbacks, which might be specific to my feet & my occupation:\r\n- the ankle strap chafes one particular part of my left foot when i wear these without stockings. i just wear a bandaid under the strap where it rubs and it\'s fine. or i go without the bandaid and just deal w/ the light chafing. it\'s mild, not any worse than i\'ve had with any other shoe, and certainly better than some.\r\n\r\n- the material of the upper on mine is a leather that scuffs super-easily. i am a preschool teacher and am constantly kneeling down, getting back up, sitting criss-cross, getting back up, etc. , and the leather is quite scuffed now across the tops of the toes (from kneeling), and along the outsides (from sitting criss-cross). the leather isn\'t wearing THROUGH in any spots, but the scuffing is very noticeable and I\'m not sure what to do about that yet.

These are the most comfortable shoes ever for my flat, narrow feet. I punch two extra holes in the strap and they work fine for my AAA width. (They\'re loose in the toe box, of course, but that\'s no problem.) The hard shank is essential for supporting the flat foot. This style of Dansko--the clog style, not the more streamlined, styley collections--offers the best support. And the Margrete goes with jeans, pants, capris, tights & skirts, whatever. I find that the open back and vented toe makes them look not too wintry to wear with bare feet in summer, but not too summery to wear with tights/socks in winter. Basically, the perfect shoe. My only complaint is that the heel tread wears down pretty fast. I just got another pair and was kind of bummed to look at my Zappos record and realize that my previous pair only lasted 18 months before the heels were worn down on the outside corners and making my feet oversupinate (rock outwards). But I wear them practically every day, so I guess that\'s not so bad.

Comfy shoe! I didn't buy these from Zappos, but I found a deal locally. They are super comfortable. I wear them when I need to do a lot of walking, but don't want to wear tennis shoes. The look could be better - Danksos are a bit clunky, but the comfort factor makes up for it!

Dansko Margrete - I bought these after talking to a waitress in a shoe store. She told me these were the only kind of shoes she could wear at work. They don't seem to have as high of an arch as other Dansko’s I own but they are very comfortable! I can walk fast in them which I can't do with some open back shoes.

Cute Shoe!!!!! I love this shoe! It is very stylish, but also comfortable. The back strap does get a little uncomfortable at times, but I think they just need to be worn in. You may want to get a size larger. I am nurse, and I get compliments on my shoes everyday!

Cute shoes but they are a half-size too large. Too bad it does not come in half sizes. I have high arches, so I found the cross-strap a little tight; luckily there is a small elastic piece near the buckle which should take care of this problem. The shoes have excellent arch support, and would look good with jeans/pants and certain skirts.

Comfy/practical - I ordered the shoe to go on a trip to India. I typically wear heels (2 1/2 - 3 1/2) and I am not very comfortable in flats. However, I wanted and needed something more practical for my trip. In the beginning the leather was a bit hard and I thought I regretted my decision of this shoe. I'm glad that changed with a just a couple of wears and I now love the shoe and continued wearing it upon my return.

Be careful with the size. I don't think my feet are very wide, but these shoes are sort of tight. Other Danskos are fit well in my size, but these are definitely a bit small.

Dansko's Margrete - I walked through Spain wearing these shoes. They did have great arch support. However, because the leather was so stiff, I had to use band-aids on both little toes to prevent irritation.

Too small. I have three pairs of Dansko shoes. They are all size 38, and they fit just fine. I love them. So i ordered this pair after reading all the wonderful reviews, but they are too small. I'm so sad to have to return them. However, Zappos costumer service is unreal. I'll definitely buy from them in the future.

A good shoe - This is a good shoe. I think it's cuter in brown than in black. The brown ones have kind of a retro look and look great with jeans. The strap that goes across the top of my foot seems tight, and there is no way to loosen it. When I walk a lot, the shoe rubs near my little toe. I'd still recommend the shoe, though. The black pair looks cute with skirts.

Makes my foot look smaller! I bought this shoe because I needed a closed toe shoe for working on my feet that would look good with skirts. I was afraid this would look very clunky, but it actually looked very feminine and made my rather large and wide feet look smaller. They fit very much like other Dansko I have had, but I am hitting my big toe on an odd place on the curve on the front that I didn't anticipate, but I know a size up would be too big. I haven't tried them yet all day at work, but I anticipate they will work well.

They feel like tennis shoes! I bought these to replace a similar maryjane style pair of Dansko’s that I completely wore out. As predicted from my experience with my last pair, these are comfortable, cute, and look good with both pants and skirts. I like this style over the traditional clog because they look less clunky and tend to fit my foot better and are easier to walk in. The only complaint I have is that they scuff really easily and the "brand new" look went away quickly; however, I would buy them again.

Very comfortable but sizing somewhat odd - Thank goodness for Zappos great shipping and return policies. I first ordered size 39 - the same as my Dansko Professionals - but these were very tight in the toe-bed and the straps. Strangely, the size 40s are quite large in both places. I'm keeping them nonetheless because I'm hoping they will be the perfect every-day shoes for an upcoming trip to India, but I'm somewhat disappointed in the weird sizing.

Look great but... I really tried to make these work, but the fit was odd. I had read that some had problems with the inner seam on the pinky toes rubbing and this was the case with one pair, so I tried another pair of the same size and it was better. The problem I could not get over was the strap sizing. The heel strap was too long on both pairs I tried, even though the 37 size footbed fit my foot, therefore my heel was allowed to sit over the edge of the back of the shoes. This could not be compensated for by tightening the front ankle strap. Also the front strap did not have enough holes (too tight). I have a high instep but not that high! I was bummed because these are very cute shoes and were quite comfortable if one could ignore the strap problem.

Not for narrow heels - I love this shoe! I really wanted it to fit... but I have a narrow heel and this shoe does not have a way to adjust the heel strap. The ankle strap had no effect at all on the strap for the heel. I actually went to a local retailer and tried on several more pair, hoping to find one with a smaller cut heel strap, but they were consistently too big. I am so bummed!
I'd also recommend:
