Dansko's Fit My Wide Feet - I wear a 9-1/2 2E or 9-1/2 WW shoe and have bunions and ugly toes so open-toed shoes are not an option. I became intrigued with Danskos while viewing Zappos wonderful web site (never heard of them before), but felt I could never wear them because of my width. However, I did try on a pair of Dansko clogs at a specialty shoe store and found to my amazement that I could wear them. (The clerk had me get a size 41, which turned out to be a bit too long. The shoes did require some breaking in, however, for width.) My next step was to order a pair of Margrete’s in butterscotch in size 40 (size 10) from Zappos. I love them. They make my feet look smaller, and the shoes are really attractive. They're just the right kind of clunky to look so cute with capris, jeans, shorts and skirts long and short. The Margrete’s did require some breaking in because of my bunions. They have an excellent arch support. I was so pleased with them and I ordered a pair in brown, and these actually fit better because they're made a litter wider. I just ordered another pair in black and hope they fit as good as the brown ones. These shoes can be worn comfortably without socks or knee-highs or the little toe footies, which never fit right or stay in place. ONE BIG COMPLAINT -- for shoes this expensive, the manufacturer should have made the ankle strap a little longer with more holes for the buckle. The strap is much too tight even in the loosest hole, and I have a very narrow heal. My husband had to poke an extra hole in each strap. Zappos is the greatest way to browse among zillions of shoes, and the comments by others are a huge help. The service from Zappos couldn't be better. One request -- could Zappos get more wider width shoes from manufacturers. Example, I can get Easy Spirit in 2E or WW from catalogs, but they're not available from Zappos; and I'd rather buy from Zappos.

Margrete - I love Dansko’s; they are the only shoe I wear anymore. I bought the Margrete because my office in the summer has faulty air conditioning so I wear skirts almost every day and needed a closed toe sandal. These are great for that very purpose, but I feel they look a little goofy with skirts. I am willing to give the fashion sacrifice for comfort. They do require a little time to break in, but nothing that a few band-aides and a week can't fix. I wear them without socks and my feet don't stick, or become smelly which some leather sandals can do. Overall I'm really impressed with them; they are comfortable and easy to slide in and out of. After originally buying the black pair, I broke down and bought the brown one a few weeks later. Highly recommended.

Awesome Shoe - My number one requirement in a shoe is comfort and this sandal delivers. Do follow the recommendation and go down in size if you are between sizes (I'm usually an 8 1/2 (39Euro) but an 8 (38Euro) was the perfect size). They are a cute shoe, definitely in my style and I'll be looking to replace my other shoes with Danskos in the future. I can wear these sandals all day and my feet still feel great by the end - not a small feat, considering I spend 10 - 12 hours a day on my feet.

Great! I'm a huge fan of the Dansko Professional clogs for the comfort and thought I'd give these a try for a slightly dressier look (like with skirt and tights come fall.) I was hoping these would be just as comfy and they come very close. They have the same great arch support and overall I really like them and they're comfier than most shoes. That said, they're not quite as comfy as the regular clogs in the toe area - they seem to rub at the pinky toe just a bit. But, again, they're adorable and almost perfectly comfortable. Also, I believe that they will break in nicely with some wear.

The Margrete is one of my favorite shoes. I have them in the brown latigo (black sole), butterscotch, and black. They look so adorable with tights of various colors and designs. I like all kinds of shoes and used to wear heels and pointed toes. Now I am most interested in comfort although cuteness still matters. These fit the bill. If you were a 9M, order a 40 in your Dansko’s.

Shoe love - I discovered Dansko’s when I waited tables for a living. I was amazed at how wonderfully they treated my fussy feet (very high arches, prone to heel pain). But now that I'm out of the restaurant business, I wanted cuter shoes. These truly are both comfy and cute. They go great with casual skirts, jeans, shorts. They are incredibly comfy - I get great support and the inside is very soft and squishy. They're not the sexiest shoes around, of course, but they're not supposed to be. I wear them to work, to run errands, out for drinks with friends, to the park, almost everywhere. They do run a bit bigger than other European-sized shoes (I wear a 40 in Birkenstock, a 39 Dansko, a 9 U.S.).

Second try is a charm! I love these shoes. They are cute and summer friendly and I had to have them. I first ordered my regular size, but they were one size small. I went through the EASY Zappos exchange and now have the shoes in my size and I am happy and loving them. The professional is next!

These are in the top 5 of my favorite pair of shoes. I own them in three colors and am waiting for Zappos to get the red ones back in stock. I like high heels and pointy boots, but as I get older I appreciate comfort. These shoes are fabulous for comfort. I think it is more stylish to be comfortable. These look adorable. I get a little more air in these than in the Marcelle’s because of the open heel and slits in the front. The sole is so comfy and almost springy. I wear a 9M so I always order a 40 in Dansko’s. These are cute bare foot or with adorable socks and stockings which Zappos should start selling, "hint, hint". As always, Zappos service is the FINEST.

Soft as butter - Very comfy. I've been waiting for these to go on sale. I finally bought a pair and they're just like my other Dansko’s: great! My one critique would be that the toe box is so low that you can't really wear toe socks w/them because they'll show.

Dansko Margrete - This is my 5th pair of Danskos; I love them. I wanted something more open (and still hide my toes)for summertime and these are perfect! Still has a clog feel, but with more airflow and I think they're pretty cute!

I love this shoe. Lots of toe room, excellent support, well made.

Love 'em - I have been coveting my colleague's pair for a month and finally decided to treat myself for my birthday. The black is lush so I can wear them with skirts and jeans. They are exactly what I wanted.

Dansko Margrete - So comfortable straight from the box. I wore them just after receiving them and came home hours later with happy feet. I ordered my usual size 39 and they fit fine. These are not the most beautiful sandals but I like their funky, retro look. I also have the Lolita sandal and had to order down a size for that one.

The best shoe in so many respects...EVER!!! People stop me almost daily to compliment me on this shoe…I have been wearing these cute red Margrete’s EVERY DAY since I got them. Comfortable, make a cute foot, make you tall, and just look DARLING! Well worth the money!!!! I am in love!

Dansko wins again - This shoe is so comfortable even though it is a clog style. I can run in them for blocks on end. The shape on the shoe is perfect and I love the comfortable arch and padding. Sweat-free! Dansko and Zappos win again! I thought it was big at first but you get used to the roomy comfort that you probably were not getting from other shoes.

Love it, so cool very comfortable, thinking of getting the same shoes but a different color.

Margrete - I love this shoe--clog-sturdy but open enough to wear in summer. Actually works better with socks than you'd expect, too. Personally, I do not recommend sizing down a half size with this open-backed shoe, as the site suggests; I did and it was much too small. But there was no problem with exchanging them for the next size up, and now they fit perfectly. (I'm normally a 7 1/2; the 38 fits but the 37 is too small).

My Staple - I bought these as my basic shoe for a trip to Paris. I wore them everyday, with no problem. Not one blister and we walked for miles. I got the black and they went with everything. I got the 38 and I wear a US 7 1/2. I have a little wiggle room, which I prefer.

Excellent - Before I bought these shoes I thought that Dansko's were kind of ugly--these are the most comfortable thing I have ever worn and I think they are cuter than most of the Dansko's I've seen. Highly recommended.

Satisfaction with Dansko's Margrete - I purchased these shoes for my adult daughter's birthday. She absolutely loves them; they are beautiful; they fit her taste.

Dansko Margrete from Zappos - Dansko is the only shoe I am allowed to wear, doctor's orders. So it is important for a vendor to provide a wide selection for me to choose from. Zappos does have a good selection from which to choose, which is fantastic. Zappos made my buying experience very easy. The phone staff was extremely cheerful and helpful. Thank you for, well in a word, you.

Total comfort - Love, love, love - Thanks Zappos for the super fast shipping... I have a couple pairs of Dansko's and they never disappoint. The Margrete is super comfortable and kind of funky too. They look great with capris and skirts.

A staple of any wardrobe - I plan to never be without a pair of Margrete’s again in my life. This was literally the only pair of shoes I could wear last summer when I was having trouble with an ongoing pain in my right foot. Since the last pair of Margrete’s I bought in this brown, they've changed the color of the sole, so it's a bit lighter than I would like, but overall, this is still a great shoe.

GREAT SHOE - This is an incredible pair of shoes. I love the style and the overall comfort. I have lower back problems so I can't wear just any shoe; I can wear Dansko Margaret all day without any problems and can feel well all day long. Thank you!

Cutesy for Granola Footwear :) These are great! Very nice arch support and openness accommodates my high instep, too! I've worn them everyday since receiving them a month ago and I will look forward to wearing them with socks (yeah--that's right!) in the cooler weather.
