This is almost exactly the same shoe as the oxford I was issued in navy boot camp, except for the decorative toe cap. Traditional styling looks very retro, and the overall size is compact - barely larger than your foot. Once you find your fit, the consistency is spot on every time. I order a new pair every year or so, and break them in gradually - they're stiff at first. Leather is thin by today's standards, and will soften and crease. These are city-shoes, not for hiking or the beach. Thing is, once they're broken in they conform to your foot really well. They feel really good to put on in the morning. I keep the "second" pair until the sole begins to wear out. They won't last forever, but at this price you knew that. They're a no-nonsense dress shoe with an old-fashioned look that will turn some heads. The only dress shoe I wear.
