The shoes are very comfortable. The pain in my heels from spurs is completely gone. The only thing that may help your sales would be if you made them in wider widths. I normally use a triple E. They still get a five star rating.

Spira Classic Leather shoes -
I've had these for a little over a month and love them, I'm going to also get them in black. I wear them whenever I go anywhere and have to do walking, they don't look so great with dressy pants but I don't care. At least I can walk. I have venious insufficency in my legs, my ankles swell and feet become very painful. I can walk through a mall without pain in my feet and hips. Wish they would come out with some other styles. I wear the wide width.

There's nothing wrong with this shoe, it looks exactly like the picture, but it didn't fit my weird feet (wide with high arches) so I'm sending it back. I saw other people saying it ran small, but for me it seemed too big in the smaller of the usual sizes I wear (8).

First pair I ordered the right shoe felt too tight and uncomfortable. Sent those back (free shipping) and ordered another pair. this time the fit was perfect. The only thing I wish was different about these shoes is that they were more stylish. My feet feel great in them and my legs do not get as tired when I wear these shoes.

I love the sneaker because it is so "cushiony", but if I order it again, I would order it one size larger (with the hope that the ankle would not slide). It ends right at the end of my big toe and I can't wear heavy socks with it. I kept it though because it looks good, it feels wonderful because it is so cushioned (even though a bit short). Definitely order in larger size. Runs a little short, especially if you want to wear socks.

I love Zappos, their service is the best.
These sneakers are great if you spend a lot of time on your feet, these are for you. Very comfortable from the get go and worth the money.

These shoes do have a nice cushioned feel to them without feeling soft. Still very supportive. The width and fit feels pretty true. The only thing I would like different is that the heel feels a little too loose in the fit. Otherwise a nice shoe and I would buy it again.

I gave these shoes a trial run at Disney World. I always take my pedometer and one day we put in 11 miles. I can honestly say that my feet were tired, but they did not hurt. Even after 5 very busy days of walking and standing in lines my feet were in great shape!

I had high hopes that I could wear this shoe at work. I'm a nurse and spend all day on my feet. This Spira seemed true to size. The support from the springy sole was great, though I would have liked more arch support. However, though the pair I tried on was supposedly wide, it didn't feel very wide when it came to room for my toes. Take a look at the picture of the shoe; it tapers to a rather narrow shape at the toes, right where I need extra width. I think I would have to order a half size larger to make my toes more comfortable, and then the shoe would surely slip at the heel while walking. So I returned it.

Well, these might have gotten a better review if they weren't so expensive. If I'm going to pay this much for shoes, they should be perfect! They are mostly comfortable, but I usually have to re-tie them several times to get the laces just right for comfort. (Maybe I need to try different laces?) The heel on the right shoe slips, and they are a bit heavy/clunky. But the bottoms of my feet do not hurt after wearing them all day at work (hospital nurse). So that is a big plus! And that is what I was originally looking for in comfort.

Very Happy -
I bought an 8 when I wear a size 8 1/2. At first it felt a little small, but after a few days of wear, they fit perfectly. My feet feel much better at the end of a work day.

RUNS SMALL -
Great support and looks pretty good as well but it does run small. I ordered a half size bigger but wish I had made it a full size. By the end of the day my feet hurt. Also the shoe is very heavy which I am not used to so I'm anxious to get them off!!!!!!

I have a lot of pain in the ball of my foot so these shoes are great. I use them while working out and all day wear. I have a narrow foot so I wish they would come in narrow. I have the reg. width and just have to lace them up tight.

They have been a real treat for me. Can actually walk on cement without thinking I'm going to die in 15 minutes. Just wish they had velcro closers that can be adjusted... so much easier.

Very pleased with the shoe until day 3 when left shoe began squeaking. On all surfaces, carpet, concrete, tile etc. Most annoying. shoe very cushioned, good fit, wide width slightly tighter than the New Balance 811.

Best tennies available -
With arthritis and orthotics, comfort is a must. These soles deliver. They're the most comfortable athletic shoe I've found. The springiness is wonderful under the heel and front of the foot. I only wish they were a hair wider. They're a little tight across the toe knuckles & barely fit my orthotic. Still, despite not having extra depth or width (and I ordered the double wide), they're the best athletic shoe I've found of the many, many I've tried.

Spira, the best shoe for plantar fasciitis -
I have been wearing Spira shoes for the last few years. They really make the difference between comfortable walking and foot agony. I have plantar fasciitis and really high arches, it's very hard to find shoes that accommodate my orthotics. The springs make a difference in walking comfort. You don't really notice they are there until you try walking any distance in a regular, non-spring shoe! They are not very attractive, but they could be worse! The black ones are pretty nondescript, so they can be worn with jeans and casual pants. I wish there were some more attractive styles in the Spiro line. If you have sensitive feet, the toe seams feel pretty rough. I had to put some padded foam tape on the seams over my little toes. Also, these shoes wear out quickly. When my last pair wore out, I tried 3 other types of shoes, but in the end I ordered another pair of Spiras because nothing else compares for comfort! Zappos’ customer service is amazing!

Great Shoe! This shoe runs a half size smaller than normal. Especially if you are going to use an orthotic insert. You might save yourself some time and get a half size larger. Once you have the right size however, you will find it to be a very supportive and comfortable shoe.

Pretty good -
These shoes are pretty comfortable! They need about 8-10 wearing to really feel comfortable. I thought that they would be more comfortable than they are though. I work on cement surface all day and was really counting on a little more comfort out of a shoe in this price range!

Spira Classic Leather -
As I wear orthotics, I have to find a shoe that will accommodate them--and the Spira does. However, the seam above the little toe always rubs and annoys my little toe.
The springs in the sole add a "lift" to your walk, although in some of the Spiras I've worn they can tend to squeak.
All in all, they are pretty comfortable--I'm on my third pair now!

Spira's classic leather shoe -
All in all they are comfortable. I am on my feet either standing or walking for eight plus hours. I do need to change the shoes after about 4 hours. I have worn them all day, but I have a little soreness after I get home. I do like them and they are the most comfortable of my shoes.

Not the walking shoe...
...I've been searching for. This one is okay, but far from perfect for my particular needs. I ordered it in the narrowest size available (B-Medium) because a few reviewers indicated that it ran narrow. But it's still too wide for my flat, thin feet. My heel slides up and down with every step, even if I tie the laces tight enough to cut off circulation. And the heel cup is so deep that the back rubs my ankles. Thick socks help, but won't be a solution in summer. The toe box fits well, though I suspect it would be too narrow and tapered for people with wider feet. I like the overall look of the shoes, especially the clever indentation that gives the bottom a shaped, less clunky look. The solid black leather makes them acceptable to wear with casual pants for daytime wear. I can't feel any evidence of the "wave springs" that are supposed to be inside each sole -- there's no sense of cushioning or bounce as you walk. More cushioning would improve these shoes, as would more arch support. I've been wearing them for errands and general getting around town, but not as serious walking shoes: after a mile the balls of my feet start to burn and my arches start to ache. One more caution for people with chemical sensitivities: fresh out of the box, these shoes have a smell (glue? synthetic materials?)Strong enough to knock you over. This has lightened up after a few weeks, but it's something to be considered.
I'd also recommend:

Good and Bad -
This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
I work 8 to l0 hours a day on floors are tile and usually damp. The skid resistant sole is not the best. The insoles of the shoes wears out first, allowing the springs to hurt my feet. I will continue to buy this shoe, I would like to see improvement in the above mentioned criticism.

I have been trying to get rid of plantar fasciitis for over a year with orthotics, etc. These shoes have really helped - my heel pain is pretty much gone when I wear them. I will say that they are not the most attractive shoes in the world – wish they could look nice and still be comfy.

Spira's for those working on concrete floors -
I teach during the day and am standing predominantly on concrete. Evenings I waitress (I teach in Florida if that explains it) and once again I'm standing on concrete. My legs and feet along with the rest of me is 55 years old. Someone mentioned the Spira's when I was lamenting the pain in my hips. Pain is mostly gone. I did use my red wing inserts which provided more arch support.
The combination works great!
