These shoes are unique and look great - they were exactly what I was looking for. They are also pretty comfy: no breaking in necessary! On the down side, sizes run large...I had to exchange my pair. They offer no arch support and they are also pretty expensive for a thin cloth slipper...

Careful with the white colored shoe! I love this shoe! Jack Purcells were my fave and now they converted it into a ballet flat! Adorable! HOWEVER, the inside of the shoe is suede and not canvas, so I dont know if you can put it in the wash. Thus, be careful if purchasing it in white.

I love the look of this shoe but find that they show every speck of dirt (I ordered white, of course). They do spot clean okay, but I wear them knowing I\'ll have to clean them each time. A bit much for a very casual, albeit very cool shoe!

Cute, but thin - I guess they really are dance shoes cuz they sure don't have a lot of substance to them as they are VERY thin soled and rather flimsy for the price. I'm kind of lukewarm about wearing them as much as I joyfully bounce around town in all my other Converse slip-ons. Maybe I'll take a dance class and love 'em then? Zappos, as usual, is the only way to buy shoes!

Cute but sized large - Ok- but fits one size larger than noted...no arch support but makes a cute slipper.

I love Zappos! I ordered these at 5pm and received them the next day. After reading the reviews, I got a full size smaller. They were too tight. I think half a size smaller would have been better. Anyway, they are really flat and have no support at all. I'm not sure if I like the way they look. They look better in the picture. I recommend Keds for more support.

Oh, sweet Purcell’s... I own a few older pairs of Purcell’s, and love them (unlike Converse chucks, they have some support!). I was really excited to see these in such a cute, stylish shoe. And they are just that- cute and stylish, but boy, no arch support, and very thin soles. If you're at all more function than fashion, don't even think about walking around for a long time in these. A day at work if you're not on your feet, okay (with inserts). But a day of hardcore tourism, say- bad idea!

Cute, but no - These look cute online, but they are less cute in person. The vamp, the black part, comes up really high on your foot, which looks a little odd. Also, the sole of the shoes is very, VERY thin. The fit was just odd all around.

Jack Purcell Dance - The shoes are very cute. And I have received many compliments on them. But the sizing is way off. I ordered a size 8, which is my usual size. But they are so big, I think I could have used a size 7. My feet actually fall out of them when I walk.

Overpriced, oversized - Thought that the materials sole and upper would be a little bit heavier - dance shoe feels like you're walking barefoot, zero support. Not quite a half-size too large for me (I didn't return the pair).

Not good quality for the price - These shoes are cute, but minimal in construction. They have virtually no padding and my feet sweat in them when I wear them. I’m sorry to say they are somehow less comfortable than original Jack Purcell’s (and that’s saying something). I wish I had gone with Simple’s "Carousel" instead...

Funky looking - I grew up wearing Jack Purcells, and love ballet flats. I thought these would be the perfect combination of the two. But the toe comes up too far, and it makes the shoe look really funny. I looked like I had duck feet. The shoe is real sleek, almost feels like a slipper, if they were lower cut, not necessarily showing toe cleavage, but lower cut than they are, I would have kept them. Also, I've always worn a boys 6 in boys Jack Purcells (womens's 7.5), and ordered these in that size, but they felt about a half size bigger than that. If you're looking for a cute, comfy, casual ballet flat type tennis shoe try the Vans KVD in black, it's a girls version of the boys classic. Very cute.

I love Jack Purcell styles -- but these don't quite work for me. I received them today (love Zappos-- I ordered them the day before yesterday) and have already sent them back (love Zappos' convenient and generous return policy!). They don't stay on my feet and while I was prepared for no arch support, these felt much too flimsy for my taste. They seem to run way big, both in length and width.

BAD - These shoes were very uncomfortable. I got them and they ran 2 sizes too big!!! Well I sent them back and then got the right size for me, but after walking around in them for a few days I got HUGE blisters on my foot! I would recommend to NOT get these shoes!
