Ashland -
I recently ordered a pair of Keen Ashland shoes. I got them in three days and was very happy with the prompt delivery. The shoes look wonderful and feel almost as good. I replaced the standard insole with a new set and they helped a lot. I always wear a size 12 and the shoes are just a little loose. I don't know if that is because they are slip on and not laced. Next time I will order an 11 1/2 to get a bit tighter fit.

'Round town hard worker.
This shoe looks great and works hard. I got caught wearing these shoes outside during 4 hours of 35-degree rain. I stood in puddles and was soaked from head to ankle. My feet stayed dry and comfortable. The only thing I'd change: the insole is a bit sparse, could be a little softer.

Keen Ashland Review -
I wear a size 7 and had to order a 7.5. The shoe based on the slip on design can pinch the top of your foot at times when sitting at a desk. I like the look, since this is my third pair of Keens. Zappos has been great to work with on finding the right fit since most shoe stores today will not stock size 7 shoes.

Nice shoes!
They made my plantar fasciitis go away. Very comfy. Black suede is slightly large - go 1/2 size smaller. Brown leather fits on the money.

Great Shoes -
These are almost as good as the Keen sandals I have been wearing everyday for a year. They make your feet look wide, but they fit well and are great for walking.

I loved this shoe right out of the box, hence the high scores for comfort and style. I've had them for a year now and bought them primarily as something to wear in the rain (which in Seattle is most of the time in the winter and never in the summer). The reason I gave this three stars overall is because the sole has already worn through. It's a shame because the leather upper has many more good years in front of it. So buyers beware: great shoe, but it won't be around for too long.

Not too Keen on these -
I have had a dozen or so pairs of Keens over the years, with Providence being my favorite. The Ashland at first looks and feels like a continuation of that line, but sadly the insides of the shoe doesn't have the same support and cushion that made earlier versions so great. In fact, the new Ashland is less comfortable than a pair of my old worn out Providence. I think that keen either needs to get back to making the quality shoe that made Keens great, or risk losing their devoted following. I did find the Whistler a good shoe in the old tradition, but they are too hot to wear on warm days (they have added linings). But I am now leery about buying any more Keens until they decide to get back to making a top quality shoe instead of cutting costs with bogus design innovations (cheaper insides and cushioning.) Overall size/width was traditional for Keens.

Good looks, seems very durable.
Was hoping to use these for every day casual wear, however they are EXTREMELY difficult to get my feet into them. A shoe horn and a very thin pair of socks might need to be stored with these shoes. If I don't feel like struggling with them I can always slip into my Austins.

I purchased two different styles of Keen shoes -- the Rialto slip-on and the Ashland slip-on. Both were size 12D. I returned the Ashland because slipping it on was extremely painful and difficult. The Ashland is a flawed design, which is not easily discerned - except I had the Rialto shoe to compare with. The elastic fabric flex panels on the two shoes are very different. The Rialto has 2 elastic fabric panels that extend forward from the ankle opening along the top sides of the shoe. This design allows the top of the shoe to flex so that the foot can easily slip into the shoe. And it stays flexed to accommodate the shape of the foot while walking. Fine; I am keeping the Rialto. BUT the Ashland's elastic strip panel is placed vertically on the side of the shoe just before the heel. This proved to be a bad design decision. I shoe-horned the Ashland on with great difficulty and pain. The top front of my ankle was forced against the inflexible front edge of the shoe. Sorry Keen, I love your shoes, but the Ashland is badly flawed. No way am I going to suffer this design.

Noisiest shoes I've ever had.
I like the looks and the comfort of the shoe, but no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of a constant squeak in both shoes. I even went was far as replacing the inserts and added masking tape to the bottoms of the inserts to dull the contact, but I had no success.
