I usually wear a size 10 in boots. I ordered the 10 but my toes actually touched the end in stocking feet so they were just too small. Unless your plan is to wear these boots barefoot, I suggest ordering up half a size. Unfortunately they don't make a 10½ so I had to get the 11.

Very comfortable but not so easy to put on & take off. Also runs a bit small, unlike some other Uggs. I ordered in my regular shoe size but returned for a half size larger.

I moved back to NYC recently and wanted to be prepared for the East Coast winters, so I started looking for a pair of winter boots that would keep me warm, be good for snow, and look cute with regular outfits (i.e., not just a heavy duty winter snow boot). I'm a big fan of Uggs and loved the look of these, but had read that the sizing was off, so I ordered three pairs: my normal size (7.5), half size up (8), and full size up (8.5). The 8.5 were way too big. 7.5 felt great in terms of width, but were definitely too short in the toes, which would have been very uncomfortable since these won't stretch like regular all-suede Uggs (which I buy in size 7). 8 was perfect in length, but were considerably wider than the 7.5, which was frustrating - I had to cinch the laces much tighter at the top, and they still buckle a little in the ankles (although I do have small ankles, thin legs, and regular-to-narrow width feet). I decided to keep them anyway, because I couldn't find another pair of winter boots that fit all of my criteria as well, but that's why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I ordered a pair of Ugg insoles (in size 7 - the 8 didn't fit inside a size 8 boot), which help the foot area fit more snuggly, and that also allows me to wear them barefoot sometimes, but most of the time I wear a sock of normal thickness with them. If I ever wanted to wear a very thick sock with them (e.g., if I put them on after skiing or if it were REALLY cold out), I could take the insole out and the width would probably fit well. If you can find a size that works for you, these are super cute boots that work great in snow (I popped the tops up in our recent blizzard, and they kept my feet totally dry and warm!), and also look cute with skinny jeans. Since Zappos makes it easy to order and return, I'd recommend starting with your standard size, and also trying one half size up, and maybe even a full size up if you tend to be between sizes, to find the best fit.
