Having spent a lifetime in the retail shoe business, without foot problems, I was quite concerned when a red bump developed at the primary ball join of my left foot. By reading numerous reviews I decided that the Berk. Blue arch support was worth a try. Initially I felt that the longitudinal arch support was helpful in straightening out the foot but that the metatarsal bump was too high and felt like a lump under my forefoot. After persisting a few days I saw the red ball joint's swelling go down and the pain decrease substantially. Obviously My foot bones needed to realigned. I am most thankful for this product and would highly recommend it for excellent arch support.

Phenomenal if you need arch support! I've had some pain in my right foot ever since pregnancy (fallen arches), which goes away if I wear shoes with proper arch support. These are fantastic! Yesterday I wore them with a pair of tennis shoes that normally trigger my foot pain -- not so anymore. Also they are easily removed and applied to other shoes as needed. If you need proper arch support, you won't be disappointed!

By far the best Arch Support on the market. I have a pair that is over 20 years old! Still going strong. Can be washed in soapy water. Have tried a least a dozen others and they are worthless within months. Slips into all shoes...casual to sport shoes. I like to buy a 1/2 size up to accommodate. Great for Plantar Faciitis issues.

We purchased these for our daughter to put in her school uniform shoes, which don't have much in the way of arch support. She has very flat feet, and she says that these keep her feet from hurting during the day, and are very comfortable. She even asked if she could put them in her volleyball shoes, so she must love them!

I have plantar fasciitis and these are great! They have the metatarsal arch which helps immensely. Very comfortable and they fit into all my shoes. I would highly recommend them.

These arch supports are fabulous. I've worn them for years, and when my husband developed plantar fasciitis, I bought him some, and the pain disappeared as soon as he put them in his shoes.

I bought these Birkenstock blue footbed arch supports to see if indeed they made my feet feel better. These were the arch supports designed for people with lower arches. These are wonderful! They kind of support my feet so that my feet are balanced and not too much pressure is on any one area of my feet. So, my feet do feel a lot better. I did have to experiment with additional padding as I often couldn't use the insert supplied with the shoe. I have plantar fasciitis, nerve damage and have lost the fat pads which had cushioned the balls of my feet. I have been unable to stand for more than a few minutes without pain. These shoe inserts have helped a lot.

I have recurring problems with my arch (pain.) These have been the best solution for my regular shoes. They fit in most of my covered shoes with no problem (no sizing up.) As hard as they are, they are somehow not uncomfortable but provide the kind of unyielding arch support to stop the pain. I usually wear a size 6 (regular, not wide or narrow) and I wear a 35. For inside the house, I wear regular birkenstocks. They look terrible but, again, cannot be beat for comfort and arch support to stop the pain.

Absolutely superb! I wouldn't put on a pair of shoes without these inserts. I have three pairs with one in my work boots. I purchased a set for my wife and she requested I get additional sets for her.

As an over pronator (flat feet) I welcome a good arch support at an affordable price. Birkenstock's arch supports are five star. I will purchase another pair and will look for one with out the blue material on the top; this causes my foot to slide in one pair of snow boots and could cause a corn to form.

I usually wear a 41 in sandals and I needed a 42 in this insert. I am very happy. I change them into whatever boots or shoes I am wearing. The support is great. I do not have heel pain when I am using these.

Approximately ten years ago this exact brand of Arch Support was recommended by my foot doc as a "possible" alternative to surgery. Since then I have purchased and repurchased this product numerous times and have not had a need to return to that doctor. I have a pair parked in every single pair of shoes I own and cannot imagine getting along without them. I was thrilled to discover that I can now purchase these from Zappos which is where I do just about 100% of all shopping except for groceries.

Able to wear these in Gucci suede loafers and Jessica Simpson levee ballet flats without going up in size. Provides necessary arch support. In flats with shallow heel cups, it tended to slip. But overall I am very happy with this purchase. I also purchased the natural Birkenstock half sole which has more of the soft Birkenstock footbed feel. That insole cannot fit into flats and loafers. I wear the natural insole in an pair of Easy Spirit Traveltime slip on mules In both insoles, I am a size 36. I am a size 37 Birkenstock sandal regular width, so I tried the size 37 first and found that it did not fit my arch.

Get these amazing inserts. I keep them in all my casual boots for tromping around when traveling. They will turn any comfortable shoe into a walking shoe you can wear for hours.

These are great, no squeak! I got these sized by a Pedoritrist, and its the same size as my Birk sandals. He had a wide range of inserts and he said these would be the best. 3 months ago I bought the sport Birkenstock inserts, and those make squeaking sounds and don't fit as well as this one. (Wish I had bought this one first.) So I say buy this, especially if you need a metatarsal arch support like me.

Owed a pair of these several years ago, and glad to see they are still available. At that time, I was dealing with some plantar fasciitis, and now addressing some sciatic issues. These won't replace a good supportive shoe, but they will help to align the foot. I was headed to the hospital for some spinal block injections, but after a few weeks with these, and a bit more exercise, I'm virtually pain free, and no injections. Sometimes hip and back pain begins with your feet. These will be a big help.

I had doctor prescribed orthodics and accidentally threw them out with my old shoes. I bought these and am thrilled. They work as well as the pricier others! I've worn Birks for 25 years and swear by them. A wonderful product. Get them and be comfortable.

Great inserts! While I can get them into all of my shoes, they do change the fit of my flats (which need an insert) so that the shoe is too full. If you have bunions, this may bother you -- and I recommend getting shorter, flatter inserts (like the gel version by Orthaheel; not as supportive, but they work with everything). This is something I've run into with most inserts, though. I would recommend these over Superfeet and have done well with them in covered shoes like oxfords, etc. It's possible to wear them without socks/nylons, but there is a bit of a rub. Another reviewer recommended wearing them beneath the insoles of your shoe. I tried this, but worried that over time, the original insole would be damaged because of the difference in shape; I think they work fine on top. The only thing is that they are smooth, so your foot might slide a bit if bare.

These are great! Another review really caught my eye - the customer said this fit better than any number of custom-made orthotics over the years. That really rang a bell with me because my custom orthotics and running-store fitted shoes did not work fully well for me. (They made my feet feel good, but my hips were always tightening up, which hurt my arthritis.) I was really torn about going through that process again. My feet got very tired going without, however. I got these and my feet do not get tired anymore! And as I can put them in a flatter shoe, my alignment is better now and I'm not having the other pain issues. From experience, these are 1,000 times better than the drugstore brands. If you need good arch support (and you know who you are if you need it), I think it's a fairly small investment to try them out, especially with the return policy. Finally, I have a narrow foot and the narrow width is very comfortable to me. Enjoy!

I would recommend the arch support by Birkenstock. Although a little expensive they last a long time and I wear mine every day.

Absolutely amazing. The 3/4 length means that these supports fit in my Converse All-Stars -- which I dearly love but which have no arch support whatsoever and are too shallow in the toe box to allow a full-length insert. Note that these are not soft inserts; they are hard, like the footbed of a Birkenstock shoe. That might sound uncomfortable, but it's never bothered me at all (possibly because I have and love a couple pairs of Birks already); I'd rather have real arch support than a soft footbed.

These inserts have changed my life! (Okay, my wardrobe at least.) Before I found these, I thought I'd have to give up on cute flats forever, and be doomed to wear clunkier, more supportive shoes with my skinny jeans and cute work outfits. Now I can wear all the ballet flats I'd pushed to the back of the closet, and even stand in them all day long without foot pain the next day, or an aggravated knee. They also stay in place while walking, and don't need to be velcro-ed down to the soles of my shoes. While I haven't found a pair of flats they don't fit into, they are a bit wide, which means I can sometimes see the blue peeking out from below my narrow feet, so it would be great if these came in a neutral color, but that's a small price to pay for comfort and wardrobe options!
