A purse that looks small but has a place for all my stuff - I love my new purse. It was well worth the money. It looks small but it really isn't. I have always purchased a large purse because of not enough room in the smaller ones. It feels good not to carry a purse that looks like an over night bag. I like the wide shoulder strap. I would recommend this purse to anyone including a man. The side pockets, you can actually carry a water bottle on each side. I use one side for my sunglasses the other for my hairspray and brush. I give it 10 stars.

Functional Bag - This bag is very functional. All of my things can fit into it with room to spare. The various exterior pockets are wonderful. Also, the bag is comfortable when wearing it cross body. Finally, the price is right.

I have to say that I buy bags all the time, and this one is the one of the best...this bag is great!!

Great bag - Purchased to use as a purse while in New York for six months to carry all my essentials. Great bag. Lots of compartments and great organizer bag.

Great Bag! This is the first I've owned that actually helps me stay organized and I can find my keys, bus pass and anything else I need quickly. I recommend this bag to anyone who works outside the home and also for the mother with kids.

Love it! This is the "Swiss Army knife" of bags. It's got lots of great features and best of all they are all useful. The water bottle holder can actually hold a (small) water bottle (with my sunglasses case in the other side). There's a place for a cell phone, pen, keys & small items that is easily accessible without having to dig through the main compartment of the bag. The main zippered compartment is large enough for all the stuff I lug around on a daily basis without being so huge that I feel like I'm carrying an overnight bag. The adjustable strap, although not padded, is wide enough so that it's comfortable to carry either over one shoulder or across your chest, messenger bag style. Great bag for everyday use and seems very durable/cleanable. Granted, it is not something you'd wear to your favorite dressy restaurant with a little black dress, but for casual everyday errands it rocks! Zappos was super- quick and easy to deal with, this is my second zappos purchase in 2 weeks and both times the items arrived in 2 business days!

Great Bag!! I love this bag for so many reasons. It holds EVERYTHING while keeping it easily accessible. This bag is a must for everyday use. It holds two water bottles, a book, and anything else you choose to fill it with. It isn't the most fashionable bag, but function overides all here.

Convenience galore! As with some other reviewers, I absolutely loved my old Donner bag which was made with different materials. I had one in a fuchsia color and wanted one in black. Even though I don't like the materials they use in the newer Donner bags as well, I love the design of this bag. I love that it has pockets on either side that you can use for water bottles. When I'm not using them for water bottles, I put my re-usable Chico grocery (stuff sack) bags in one side and my sun-glasses on the other side. My cell phone goes in one of the compartments under the front flap so it's always convenient to find. I also love the key fob; it makes it so much easier to find my keys. My purse rarely gets dirty at all, but when it gets dusty I can brush it right off. I also really like the size of the purse and I like having the strap cross over my body for extra security.

I love Overland Equipment Donner~ I bought it for vacation and I could carry everything with me and still be comfortable and have my hands free. It would be nice to have a few extra small pockets in the main section to hold little things that get lost in the bottom.

Not quite right - I will just say for the record that I LOVE Zappos! I ordered this bag for an upcoming trip to France, as an alternative to carrying a backpack. I was really looking for a smallish messenger bag, not a purse. But when it got here, it was just a little too much like a purse, and not enough like a messenger bag. So while I loved the color and features it was just a little smaller than I wanted. But if you're looking for a roomy purse: this is the one for you! The next size up in the brand was just too big. I called Zappos and did a quick exchange for the North Fact Calyx Se which is a little bigger. They expedited everything so I can get the other bag in time for my trip. Again, LOVE Zappos!!

I loved my old Donner bag, but decided to get one in black. Well, the design is still good, but in the years since I bought my last bag and another one as a gift, they have really started cutting corners on materials. The fabric and strap, even the hook-and-loop closure, are all much cheaper looking and feeling than in older versions of this bag. I still love the design and size, so didn't return it, but probably should have explored other options (Sherpani for example).

Great messenger bag! I love the outside pockets--wonderful for a water bottle. Very comfortable, adjustable strap. The front organizer pocket is a little awkward to use--I'd rather a zipper pocket instead of a hook-and-loop pocket.

So cute, but maybe not big enough for a diaper bag - I bought this bag on the advice of other reviews as a diaper bag when I'm not using the stroller bag. I have to say that, although the bag looks great and is well constructed and designed, it's really not quite big enough for the diaper essentials. This would be a great bag for long walks, with the bottle pockets and pockets for other things, hooks for keys, etc.

One star for "truth in advertising" Darn. Well, I love the design. The strap is really nice and smooth and comfortable. Color (Laurel/Sky/Silver) is beautiful and subtle. NOW FOR THE DOWNSIDE: Overland used to be made in CA, which is why I spent the money for a bag instead of going to a cornerstore and buying one for $14.99. Granted, the design is wonderful and the quality seems good, but I'm annoyed when I pay more for something and it's not made to the advertised specs. Also, the "sunglass/cell phone" pocket is not padded. Some descriptions will say it's fleece lined, but it is just the nylon. Now I have to decide whether to keep it or not. :(

Nice Practical Bag - I've been looking for a bag like this and was so happy to find this one. It's a great bag for everyday use. Not especially stylish looking but it's practical, nicely made, durable and meets my needs. I love the water bottle pockets, they really sold me on this bag. My only complaints are that the shoulder strap could be more comfortable and I wish it were just a little bigger (I carry a lot of stuff). Otherwise I'm very happy with this bag.

Small and neat - This is a very versatile bag to have. With several pockets and a large enough main section to hold a good number of items. I work in Kuwait so, whenever I travel home, I like to carry a book and music to listen to during the flight. This bag makes it very easy for me to carry everything I need in one bag. Best of all it doesn't have the grandma look like a lot of other everyday bags.

I was disappointed in this purse. I was expecting more pockets as some reviews said. I was planning to use it on our cruise to Mexico and am considering a different purchase. I didn't return it because I had thrown the receipt away. I'm sorry I did. Durability is good. I've been using it for everyday use. The front pockets aren't large enough for too many items; the front flaps down.

This is not as well designed as I hoped - The side straps from the outer pockets to the main strap unhinge about 50% of the time. Very annoying. The front flap has many pockets, but the velcro closure opens all the time which renders all the pockets as useless. I was hoping this item would give me a simple and somewhat fashionable organizing solution to carry me through a busy day. Very disappointing.

Well, I bought this item over 5 years ago and recently have been receiving lots of compliments on it. A woman on the elevator said "I love that bag!" and I realized that it was still in really good shape, still looks almost new and I've been using it a lot for the past 5 years! Wow - great bag that is super durable, versatile and just awesome. Had to come back and write a review.

Bought this bag specifically for a trip to Disney. It was perfect, fit water bottles, ponchos, snacks, sunscreen, etc. It will be used on many future journeys.

I just got this bag last week and I am really enjoying it. It's the perfect medium size bag. I like that there is a compartment for water bottles (2). I like that cross-body style, but the strap can also be adjusted to fit over the shoulder like a normal handbag. My most favorite thing about this bag is that I am carrying less. Not that the bag couldn't handle what my other bags do. It's just nice to have the option to carry less. I would recommend to anyone who would like a hands free approach to a handbag.

I just purchased my first Donner, and it is amazing! It has everything that I want in a bag! This will be the first of many for a busy mom that works, works out, and does not miss any of my girls' activities!

I love this bag. Was looking for something sturdy, easy to clean and basic with plenty of pockets - I don't like carrying a wallet so the flap in front with mesh zippered pouch for money and credit card, pen and checkbook slots is perfect. The bag overall is a great size - large enough to be an everyday bag with all the essentials without being too large and bulky. The option to adjust the straps to wear crossbody is nice as well, especially when it's loaded down with the wonderful water bottles there's room for on the sides - LOVE that feature as mine goes everywhere with me. The green color is really perfect, bright enough to be fun but not glaring. Love the lining too - I'd had lots of compliments. I'm only giving it 4 stars at this point because I'm not sure how it's going to wear yet - have only had it for a few weeks and so far it still looks new so I have high hope.

Okay, I had zero problems with this bag and was very happy with it for the first 6 months I've had it. Recently I noticed I was losing things and things were falling out of the second pocket. Came to realize that the velcro no longer sticks to the front of the purse. So the second pocket is basically useless at this point since the velcro stopped working. Everything is fabulous about the bag, it has many useful pockets, love the water bottle side pocket since it's not the flimsy mesh ones that most bags have. But the velcro not being functional has ruined this bag for me. I taped some replacement velcro on it but it is also slowly becoming non-sticky as well. Failure in design. Got an REI bag instead now with zippers similar in style but it's the mesh on the side of the bag instead of this fully enclosed one but at least I know not to get any velcro bags in the future. Be warned, the velcro will stop working & you will lose stuff.

I bought this for my wife to keep her stuff organized on the cruise ship pool deck (i.e., iPhone, iPad, water, lotions, book, magazine, etc). Unfortunately, the bag is not tall enough to completely hold a magazine, so I am returning it.
