Holding up well after a week of skating -
I was looking for a solid mid-to-high skate shoe with good ankle support, but something that looked good too. I was stoked to see the Telford offered both. After the shoe arrived, I was somewhat bummed at first because the sole of the shoe looked higher than the picture (I hate shoes with tall soles). It also doesn't look as cool when you tuck your jeans behind the tongue cuz' they're high tops, but you def get used to it after a few days of skating and breaking them in. Now I don't even notice it. I had to take the arch supports out because I have flat feet and it was killing my arches- but they peel out no problem. Overall, this has been a great purchase.

Zappos has very good service. I got my shoes in about 5 days. They are great. I'm definitely ordering from them again and I suggest you do, too.

Comfortable, but not so durable. These shoes look awesome and skate great. They are very grippy, that is, until it starts to wear down. I’ve had these for a little over 2 weeks and I skate every day and I already have worn down all of the suede on my flipping foot in three different place. There is also a hole forming on the bottom of the shoe. However, a little shoe goo will do the trick. I would recommend these to someone looking for a sexy looking shoe with great comfort to boot.

Really disappointed with these. I was looking everywhere for comfortable high top skate shoes, and a step up from my usual DCs.
Right away the fit felt tight. I put it down to needing to break them in a little which I've never had to do with skate shoes before. (I've had Etnies, Supra, Airwalk, DCs, es, Vans, Nike, etc.) This was my first pair of Lakai after wanting some for so long.
They have very little padding or ankle and heel cushion which was a major disappointment. The shoe itself is very rigid which maybe is good for support but without padding just scrapes cuz it's not flexible enough.
The worst part was the soles. After a few hours of skating and walking, my feet hurt. It was like only a thin layer of cardboard separated my feet from the concrete/deck. Ended up with shin splints and sore feet. The shoes held up okay.
They still look cool, and I get lots of compliments on them but that's about it. I'll save them for when I want a nice pair of kicks for a night out. Not much use for skating. Just gonna go back to DC or Nike.
Really uncomfortable. Huge disappointment for the price. Not worth it.

Overall, it was a nice shoe, but not for skating. Things bad about the shoe: Didn't have good grip and sole. Didn't have that much board feel. Was a little wider than imagined. Things good about the shoe: Partly made from suede. Comfortable. Nice looking. Ankle protection.
