Favorite Shoe of all time, been wearing these since the 80s, and still the best!

I have bought this same 3 lug classic for over 35 years. Great shoe. My only recent issues are: (a) Leather shoe laces in last 2-3 pairs have broken. Since Timberland was sold to VF Corp. in 2011, I think they have felt the corporate pressure to use cheaper materials, and this unfortunately included the shoe laces which are hard to re-thread through all the holes around the back of the shoe when it becomes necessary (b) I bought a pair recently at the Timberland Outlet Store at the Nashville Opry Mills Center, and noticed immediately that for the first time in 35 years on this Classic 3 Lug Shoe: (a) did not use leather inner linings; and (2) bonded the rugged sole to the leather upper body not with an 1/8 inch of leather, but instead with a orange color rubber material. Again, I think VF Corporation has recently put pressure on Timberland to use cheaper, less rugged materials on this Classic shoe

Have worn Timberland 2 or 3-eyelet deck shoes for over 30 years. So delighted to have these new well-heeled lug soles for foot support and contine you this secy shoe traditio

These boat shoes are great I wear them almost everyday. They are great in bad weather to, also they look great with the white stitching. I've been wearing these shoes since I was a teenager. Only one thing to say is I Love These shoes.

Preppy shoes, neat color, finish is splendid, craftsmanship is up there with a Bally. I mean that. Took my last pair to treck off the beaches of Zanzibar in Africa, to High altitude volcanoes in Ecuador, and for weekend walks in Washington, DC. The new pair I bought a month ago has such a hip look, I wear them for casual Fridays in the office.

This shoe is a classic. I've always admired the look and finally took the step to purchase them. My only "issue" was the 3-4 day delivery became a 5 day delivery.

These have been one of my favorite shoes for over 20 years. With or without socks, running around the city or the wild it makes no difference. Once you get them broken in you just slip them on and they are rarin' to go. I should have bought a second pair this time, but they last so darn long.

I admit it. I am biased. I have been wearing this specific style for nearly 30 years and it is pretty much ageless. It works with jeans and casual trousers, socks or no socks. It is equally stylish worn untreated or oiled regularly as Timberland suggests. I tend to keep my just-replaced pair for knock-around; yard or quick trip to the shop.
