A fine pair of doc's - These boots are great. I received them within a few days after my order was placed. Put them on right out of the box...felt like I had been wearing them for months. Although the soles were a little larger than I had thought, they still look and feel great. My only complaint with these boots would have to be the no half-sizing of doc's...but other than that, these boots are a 10 out of 10!

Great Boots! I bought these boots on a whim, and I must say that, so far, I am very impressed. I've read much about the dismal decline of Doc Martens since the company off-shored to East Asia, and I've been burned badly by a pair of their Chinese-made oxfords. That said, if these boots are any indication, the company is back in the game. I've had them for about a week, and they are more comfortable than most athletic shoes I've owned. They are solid, but not terribly heavy. Practically no break-in time has been required and I could run in these things right out of the box. The only downside that I can see is that the boots' internal volume isn't that great. This isn't a problem if you have good feet and don't require insoles to compensate for dodgy arches. As I need a little extra support, I had to order a size larger than normal to accommodate the insoles and standard hiking socks.

Overall these are comfortable boots. The leather is a little flimsy, which felt like it took away from my arch support. Also, the sole on the shoe was too thick, being 6'3" already, I have no interest in being 6'4½".

First day of owning the 8267s and my feet are very sore. When I first tried them on they were too big after buying a 10 and I wear a 9.5 (buy smaller). I also wore these on my bike and it was hard to up shift because the sole stuck out so far in the front. I will write another review after they break in.

Good boots, they break in fast, look great. They feel a bit loose, but are still comfortable. They do scuff easily, so if your looking for a durable work boot, they may not be the best choice.

Good for casual, not for industrial environment. I assumed these would be steel toed with thicker more sturdy leather. They are very comfortable and good boots, but I kinda feel like I was mislead into thinking I could use them for work.

Nice boot - This boot looks cool and is extremely comfortable. The leather is soft and supple and the sole makes you feel like you're walking on air. Unfortunately, I've only had these boots a month and the sole is starting to detach itself from the boot - and I don't do anything in these boots but walk around. Also, it's too bad Doc's don't come in half sizes. If you wear an 11 1/2, get a 12 and put some insoles in them.

Something is seriously off with the size - I ended up returning my first pair and getting a size 9, which is barely small enough for my 10 1/2 (men's) foot - if I could go a half size smaller, I would. They're pretty comfortable now. But this is only after the most uncomfortable break-in I've ever experienced. They literally drew blood from multiple places on both feet, and I stubbornly wore extra-thick hiking socks for a few months (not wearing these every day) before they started to get comfortable. They finally feel pretty good - not the best fit ever, but I can wear them all day with normal socks at least. Of course now, after only a few months of light use, the sole on the left foot is split wide open (horizontally). I love the look (aside from the extra chunky soles, one of which is now splitting apart) but honestly I could never recommend these and doubt I'll ever get another pair of Docs again after this experience.

I miss my old Docs!! These fell apart in less than a two week period!! The sole by the toe is falling off already. Cheaply manufactured, probably to achieve higher profit margins. Punk rock has sold out!!

Not the 'made in England' quality - These boots are great, probably the best Docs out there right now (due to the thick soles and nice traditional styling), but there is some kind of technical problem with the soles - they click, not just in one place but all over, when you walk.... as if the little air pockets inside the rubber were collapsing and opening up again. This has been mentioned in other reviews (of flex-link docs), so I guess it's a general problem with the manufacture in China, and not a fault with my pair. Ah! the old made in England Docs will never come again! But these are close, and good. Here's to more like them in the future...

Was not at all pleased with these boots. They had absolutely no arch support and your heel feels like it isn’t down into the boot far enough. Adding a set of insoles only made this worse and also didn’t leave me enough room across the top of the toes.

Not quality made - Look great - that's the best thing about them. Other than that - poorly made. Bought them, and had to return them. Leather is butter soft and very thin. Which was a good thing for me. Usually I have real hard time breaking in Dr. Martens' boots. If you plan on subjecting these boots to something other than regular street wear - think again. My problem was that the left boot was made differently than the right one. It would cut right into the high arch making wearing it unbearable. As usual for DM boots - almost no arch support. Boots were made in China.

Very cheap quality Docs. Beware, these are poorly constructed, cheap materials. Obvious as soon as I opened the box.

Spitting Soles - The soles split across the bottom of both boots within six months of wear. Poor quality compared to my 10 year old boots these were to replace. Great looking boot, but all I ended up with was an expensive pair of laces. What a shame. I'm currently looking for another brand.

I've owned many pairs of Doc Martens, but these have got to be the most uncomfortable ever. Months after I bought them, they are still hard on my feet. But they look good.

This is my first pair of Dr. Martens and normally don't wear boots. These have good comfort and great styling. I was looking for a pair of black boots when riding my Harley. I have received a couple complements already asking where I got these, and of course I share the awesome experience of buying online from Zappos. I have a 12.5 foot, I would agree with other that you should order .5 smaller as size 12 fits me perfectly. This is a great looking plain black boot with a oil resistant sole, and I'm sure you'll be happy with this purchase.

Purchased these great boots for my son's birthday. He loves them and he looks amazing in them. They were just a very practical choice for riding his bike and his active lifestyle while remaining very stylish. Our entire family wear Docs and have for years. These boots did not disappoint. You won't be sorry.

Only lasted 2.5 months on the job. Souls split in half and leather on toes are thin. I have a huge hole on the toe already from wear. I will invest in a better boot next time.

I have had a pair of Chukka Boots for at least 5 years. The sole finally wore through, so I found these as a replacement. I was incredibly disappointed at the quality of leather used in the new boots. They are thin and plastic-y feeling. Why, Dr. Martens did you discontinue the chukkas??
