These shoes are the most cpmfortable i have tried.Only problem is even with my terribly flat feet they are just too wide. So back they go to that wonderful store thats so kind and understanding,to be exchangedx

I have multiple pairs of Burkenstocks & these ran quite large in the width so had to send them back. If you have really wide feet you will probably love these shoes.

Had to buy a size smaller because the current size I wear was way too big. but with the decrease in size, although it fit my feet, the top covering was tight because of it. Overall, it looks good, and feels good, I just wish the size fit better.

These 42s run small - my toes were striking v. close to the front and arch area was too forward. The A-630 Alpro in a 42 was spot on. Interestingly, when these 2 shoes are viewed in context, the shoe here looks 1/2 size smaller. Nice but returned and kept the A-630

Great shoe overall! I did return for a size smaller. I should have listened to the previous reviews that it runs a size large. I wear a US size 7 and in that size, this was far too big. Despite that, returned for correct size and LOVE it

I bought these for work in a hospital, so fashion was not a consideration. I wanted something that would be comfortable to wear for hours, and would protect my feet from spills/drips. I wear a US size 8.5, and have lived in Europe, where I am always a size 39. Remarkably, the 39 in this shoe was really big on me. I exchanged it for the 38, which is a much better fit, but even a bit large still. So, definitely consider ordering a size down. I do think the shoe has decent arch support, but I have ankles that roll in, so I need extreme arch support, so will use my usual PowerStep insoles inside these shoes. I love that the insoles come out so I can do that. I have been wearing them around my house for the last hour and they are very comfortable. I do get the feeling that will mold to my feet even more over time.

As far as standing all day these are ideal for keeping you feet planted firm and your posture upright. I love that I can slip them off under my desk and quickly get them back on. They are a slight bit heavy.

Well,I'll just say this. I ordered a size 40 (9/9.5)as I require a roomy toe box. My regular show size is an 8 1/2 or 9 depending on the company. I was told to order up, because they do fit snug. However, this shoe literally slips off of my foot and is pretty wide. I feel like if I order a size down it'll be too snug. I work in a kitchen and I'm up on my feet 8-10 hrs per day and I can't say if they're comfortable or not since I just received them today. The shoe feels kinda awkward due to the shape of them, but I did read in some of the reviews that there is some getting used to when you first wear the shoes. I'm going to put some insoles in my shoes and that way they probably wont slip as much. After about a week, I'll give an update as to how these worked out for me. They were highly recommended by our head Chef and other Culinary staff. My current shoe that I'm wearing is the Timberland Pro. I've had them almost 2 years and they are no longer comfortable. My left heel hurts a lot, even after putting insoles in my shoes. The durability is good, but they are no longer comfy. I'm hoping that I can go from 4 to 5 stars and that these shoes live up to the reputation that they've had for years Wish me luck!

I bought this pair for kitchen shoes. Pros: durable, easy to clean, slip resistant. Cons: not very good arch support for birks, theyre better for standing not for walking, very clunky

I work in retail and have a hard time finding comfortable shoes that conform to the all black shoe policy. My feet are wide and I have high arches. I weigh too much and my shoes just can't seem to handle it all. I have other Birkenstock shoes, so I was excited to try these. The shoes are unisex and I needed a full size smaller than what I usually wear for Birkenstock. They are wide, like their other shoes, but I have wide feet so it was nice for me not to have to worry about shoes squeezing my feet. If you have narrow feet, it may be an issue. They support my feet well. If you haven't worn this brand before, there is extra length to the shoes that you don't find in other brands. They are meant to fit that way and my foot does not slip or slide around. The shoe is all one piece. They don't tie, which is nice to not have to worry about shoelaces. The sole insert does conform to your foot a bit like other Birkenstock, but not to the degree other do, because it isn't cork. It isn't the prettiest shoe, but when worn with pants, it doesn't look as clunky as it does coming out of the box and I have long given up aesthetics in favor of function. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day. They don't get wet if I am walking outside in snow or sleet getting shopping carts. I really like having them and they serve their purpose well.

As a chef I can spend up to 16 hours on my feet. These shoes have been through everything. They get hosed down every night. Hard tile floors with grease, hot water, and chemicals at the end of the night. They can go through the dishwasher. The inserts take a day to dry. Only problem is they can be hit or miss with quality. Some pair have lasted 3 years, others split after one year.

Exchanging for the next size down. Usually a 39 but need a 38. These are a full size larger than expected, order down a full size!

Comfortable shoes for slogging to yoga or working in the yard. I have a narrow foot so they are a little wide but I expected that. I have owed many Birks over the years.

The break in period has taken longer than I expected, but overall, it has been a good shoe so far. I am going to order another pair, but size 46 instead of 47, as I desire a snugger fit. The extra width in the toe box is great and the flat sole is very nice to have as opposed to the platform on the Dansko clogs.

If you have Plantar Fasciitis this shoe will alleviate your heel pain. The footbed has great arch support and a good heel cup. It did take me a whole month of wearing the shoe to get used to the feel of the footbed/insert, but now I'm used to the footbed and don't have heel pain. I have noticed that when I walk on sidewalks or in malls that I will have a minute amount of heel pain though.

I wasn't sure what size to get because I have both 39 and 40 sizes. 39 in sandals and 40 in the garden clogs, which are very similar in style to these. For that reason, I decided to go with the 40. I was swimming in them, even with socks on. (I work in a hospital and was purchasing these for work.) I do a lot of running in the OR and would not be able to do that without tripping in these shoes, so I ordered a size smaller. Unfortunately, they did not have the skulls in 39, so I went with gray. I received the smaller pair today & they fit perfectly. I have very damaged feet due to a burn accident & need a very wide toe bed and Birk's are perfect for that.

I bought the shoes, tried them on and realized that they were too big. No problem! With Zappos amazing customer service, they were able to process an exchange for me and get the shoes to me the next day just in time for work! So overall, other than shoe size running a little big, this is a great shoe!

I loved these. I ordered them from this site three years ago... I'm a chef and constantly on my feet. The comfort is fantastic and they were pretty well being slip resistance. However, I cracked a large hole in the ball of my foot, you know where your toes connect to your foot, right before the arch...from continually bending down and squatting. It ripped easily. They lasted about a year an a half. But I'm looking into getting another pair because I've never worn shoes that keep my feet from hurting so much - thumbs up.

These run a little big. Thought they would be alright but feel now like I am sloshing around in them. Would get a smaller size next time.

These shoes are pretty awesome. My only word of advice is that while they claim to be unisex, they are pretty clearly sized for men. I usually wear a size 40, and in these I am a 38. I also have to wear thicker than normal socks with them, otherwise they rub my feet funny. That being said, though, they are pretty comfortable and did not go through the normal break-in period of most kitchen shoes. Plus, come on, skulls and crossbones! That is awesome!

Good in the kitchen. Easy wipe clean. Or wash machine without insoles. Non slip response is good. Soles easier to clean than some others. Comfy for all day standing. These run huge! Buy at least 1 full size down.

I can't review these. I need a narrow birkenstock. I took a chance on these. Will not work for me.

I have worn Birkenstock shoes and other European shoes my whole life. Every pair has been a size 41. This pair is too large. I will return these, but I am placing an order for the size 40 today.

I ordered my regular size 38 even though I read they run big They run big I returned them and got the Super Birkis in 38 and they are perfect

Nice looking, but quite large volume. Seems like it would fit if I wore two pairs of heavy wool socks. Ideal for someone with quite large volume feet. Returned.
