Adequate But Not Perfect - A tiny bit short on support and a tiny bit clunky-looking, but adequately comfortable and good-looking enough to serve.

Hush Puppies come through... Typical of Hush Puppies of the past, these shoes are comfortable, even for the wide foot.

Really like this shoe. Square toe makes it fit me better than most. Feels equivalent to a 4 or 5 E width. Gel pad fell apart in the first pair but Zappos customer service was great and exchanged the shoes. Jury is still out on longevity.

Gel Heel is Uncomfortable- I love this shoe except for the gel pack right under the heel. I feel it when I walk and it is uncomfortable. If Hushpuppy had a smooth bottom to the shoe insert, this shoe would be 5 stars. Maybe it will not bother you but it does to me.

Felt a bit lightweight and flimsy. The shoes seemed like they would have been a good fit, but they had almost no arch support.

Ouch - These shoes wore blisters on the back of both heels. Unfortunately I took these shoes on a long business trip – requiring a week of putting on moleskin. My nearly new, expensive, shoes are headed toward the donation drop. I guess I've learned my lesson about really trying the shoe on in the house first.

Flat Hush Puppies - Shoe seems too big for stated size, and has very little to no arch support. Comfortable on carpet or short outings, but without support can be painful on hard surfaces for any distance or extended time.

Medium - I was surprised that the only real support was a flimsy insert. Men who would wear a 15 3E are going to need more support than I felt this shoe offered. My husband was ok with them. He said it doesn't get much better than this, but I just can't believe that. The first pair we ordered had to be returned because the gel pack in the insert broke and leaked all over the inside of the shoe.

Looks good - feels average. The shoe has a good dressy look to it. The arch support is nearly non-existent, but the shoe is comfortable enough to wear all day.

Shoe sole wore out extremely prematurely. Zappos is awesome, they sent another one, and if this one wears out prematurely. I will refrain from ordering this particular Hush Puppy shoe.

Bud - Not comfortable. Rubs heels and the shoes seem "down at the heel" when I walk. Unfortunately, I discovered this only after a couple of days on the street.

Don't be fooled by the brand name. I stayed away from Hush Puppies for the longest time because I thought they were shoes primarily for kids or very casual wear. Out of frustration at other brands, I tried HP and am so glad I did. These shoes feel like the Bostonians I bought in early 2000s. Thick leather, for one, which makes me think these solid shoes will last me as long as my previous Bostonians. The Bs I had years ago seemed like they were about twice as thick as today's version. Those shoes lasted me over 15 years with one sole replacement. I’m hoping for the same from the HPs. Of course, with this much material comes the weight issue. If you don't want a heavy shoe (compared to today's Bostonian), move along. Make sure you use a shoehorn (in the beginning you will have to just to get them on unless you want to completely unlace them every time). I still use a horn to preserve the solid sides. They are sharp with my office dress style, which is between business casual and wearing a tie. And I don’t miss a beat if I dress down to khakis and a Polo short-sleeve shirt. My feet aren’t tired at all after wearing them for 12 hours, and I don’t come home thinking how great it will be to take my shoes off. I have a narrow foot, but these HPs are just fine. Can’t seem to find many narrow shoes these days. Would buy these again in a heartbeat!

My picky husband that thinks that most shoes are uncomfortable even though they are his correct size thinks these shoes are very comfortable! He is pleased with everything about them. They also came very quickly!

These shoes replaced the older style Rockports that he has worn for years. I ordered both and he felt the Hushpuppies were more comfortable as he needs a wider toe area and Rockport has narrowed the area a bit more lately. The Hushpuppies seem to be of nice leather and claim to be waterproof. We shall see after he wears them more.

These are perfect for my 6 ft 3 in. husband. They not only support his feet , they are extremely comfortable and in style.

I wouldn't say it was glove perfect, but this Hush Puppies model fits me better than a couple of recently ordered Timberland shoes which I find too long and narrow. Otherwise, Zappo's service seems to me exemplary.

Really nice shoes. Some of the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever had. Nice, ox-blood color. ....and waterproof dress shoes that look super nice and are comfortable are hard to find. I am really happy with the purchase.

Size 9M just right. This is a versatile dress/business shoe that is very comfortable and shines up beautifully. Reminds me of the low-quarters (laced oxfords) we wore in the service. Once those were broken-in, they were great. This is that shoe already broken-in, with a classier toe box and design. I bought four pair, one low and one chukka both colors. This really is a can't-miss shoe.

Usually I wear 11-1/2" wide walking shoes with rather thick orthotics but decided I'd only wear these Hush Puppies with a suit for formal occasions for a few hours at a time. I bought the 11-1/2" extra wide size and they have a gel cushion in the heel. Very comfortable all the way around. Don't know how long that will last without orthotics but I may eventually remove the gel inserts and switch to a thin orthotic brand. Only wore these shoes once for an hour or so since purchased and the comfort was still there afterwards. So glad I got the extra wide width for toe room.
