Great shoes; however, I should have bought them a 1/2 size larger than other brands. Zappos had the shoes to me in one day. Amazing!

I love PF flyers! I have purchased many pairs, most of them from Zappos. They are great, comfortable shoes and they last a long, long time. Zappos is a great company to deal with. I have always been pleased with the products, shipping, and service. The small issue with my last purchase is that I thought the shoes were grey. I wanted grey shoes. Turns out they are black. It's not a deal breaker. I just have another pair of black PF Flyers now.

Good looking shoes that are moderately comfortable, but much more comfortable and better looking than Converse or other similar styles.

The shoe was somewhat hard to put on and quite narrow. Maybe I just got a half size too small. My pinky toe was hurting quickly.

Surprisingly comfortable. The perfect shoe if you want classic Converse-like style without your feet hurting by the end of the day. They are made of superior materials too. Thicker canvas, and the side patch isn't a cheap iron on.

These Shoes Are FUN -
Comfortable, with moderate arch support, definitely the look I was going for. They look great with a pair of cuffed Levi's. The Nostalgia Factor makes them even more cool, and the box they come in had vintage graphics which adds to the fun.

Were your parents kids in the 50's?
Mine were, and they wore PF Flyers. Or Keds. Or Converse. I'll wear PF Flyers over Chucks any day - they are simply more comfortable. BUT - the cushiony feeling you get when you first put them on - immediately separating them from Chucks - disappears quickly. Or maybe you just get used to them. In any event, they've replaced the Chuck in my life.

Seen Sandlot?!
I love the shoes. Very retro. Very cool. Very Americana--Sandlot-esque.
Slightly more comfortable than Converse Chuck-Taylor's--a little arch support.
Tongue still needs to be bigger or firmer so it doesn't fold over.
There's a reason that arch support is good, though...

Why did they do this to the Hi-Top ? ?
The hi-tops have the PF roundel on the outside - why? Every other shoes on the planet (plus the original PF Flyers) have the roundel on the insides. This makes it look like you have your shoes onthe wrong feet! Also, when you sit with your leg folded (like a guy does) the rubber roundel presses into the top of your leg. The PF Flyer folks worked hard to faithfully copy a shoe, but some at the last minute decided to try to be cute and make the switch - dumb idea! This design flaw would be easy to switch, if they chose to. I have a wider foot and needed to go up 1 size. If you have a wider foot, I'd really recommend Pro-Keds instead, which are wider and more comfortable.

PF Flyer Center HI -
Good looking shoe but unsure of the fit and feel. I normally wear a 9.5 and I order a 10 because from what I read on this shoe it is a bit narrow and the that it was a european fit so I decide to go a half size larger then I normally wear. Feels very narrow up front towards toes and the heel feels very loose in the rear. I am sure if I went a full size it would be too loose and if I went w/ the 9.5 it would be too tight. Converse ALL Star Hi tops 9.5 fit like a glove. Was hoping the PF Flyers would as well. GREAT looking shoe but fitment needs some tweaking

For years I have been keener to the classic high top Converse, but I had to grab these Sandlot Edition PF Flyers when I spotted them. They arrived quicker than I had anticipated which is good, and they fit pretty much how I thought they would; which is pretty basic, not a lot of padding (although I did like the Posture Foundation support they added unlike Converse). They worked great for me for about 8 months-1 year, then the canvas on the inside of the shoe in the heel began to strip away uncovering the piece of rubber heel padding. I didn't think this was a problem until the heels on all of my socks began to form holes in them. So that could use a little work there, also I took them hiking which they aren't really meant for and discovered that having no real padding makes you feel every single rock you step on making for a couple very sore feet the next day. All in all the shoe is good, but could use some work on that heel part.

Review of PF Flyers's Center Hi Re-Issue -
Pretty Expense for our "nostalgic" purchase. Not very much support for the arch. Straight narrow tip rub sores on big toes, hoping it will get better after breaking them in.

Definitely worth the purchase! Much more comfortable than traditional Converse, because they have a cushioned insert. Classic American style!

I finally got around to ordering a pair of these after wearing Converse for a long time, so that's my main point of comparison for these shoes. Overall, I really like the look and the quality. They're definitely a little heavier and "beefier" than Converse. As far as the sizing, which can be confusing if you're used to Converse, they run a little bit smaller. I wear 11.5 in Converse, but the PF Flyers in 12 are just about right. They're even a little more snug, which isn't a bad thing in my case. Anyway, I'll definitely be buying more PF Flyers in the future, and would recommend them if you like Converse, but are looking for something a little different.

I welcome this opportunity to tell others what a great experience I had with Zappos. I bought my husband a pair of PF Flyers for his 61st birthday. It was something he always wanted as a kid. The order came as expected, on time and of very good quality. But what impressed me most was that I had ordered the wrong size and when I called the number provided, the person could not have been more helpful. She explained the return process and emailed me the necessary paperwork for the return. She even sent me the smaller size shoes - They arrived in two days. All I had to do was return the unwanted shoes by free UPS. The whole experience with Zappos was quick and very easy. I will definitely shop with Zappos again.

So comfortable I think I'm wearing house shoes. In hot weather they breathe and feel as cool as any shoe can be. I like to lace them up loose for around the house and tight for walking. Nice wide toe box is a plus.

Very nice old school canves sneaker, i had forgotten about PF Flyers use to wear these back in the day.I was going to buy a pair of Chucks 70 high but Zapoos was out of stock.another review said try Flyers they were more comfortable than chucks, because they do have some arch support for starters i agree. My wife said wear are my roller skates? PF makes this shoe in leather Zapoos did not offer them? You can't go wrong with Flyers.

I have always had great luck with Zappos. In the past I had received a pair of shoes that didn't fit, they sent out the new pair that same day so I would have them in time for vacation. Excellent service! Also a great selection!

Just like Sandlot! When they say do a half size bigger...it's true. Don't panic. These actually have a nice pad inside and feel like soft air. These you won't ever regret! Get before gone...better than regular ones!

I'm loving these shoes right now. They're a perfect fit, once I loosened the front laces. They seem more durable than the Converse and I'm hoping that they will last longer than the Converse I had before that didn't last more than 6 months.

I bought these a few months ago on impulse. I needed some concert shoes and these seemed perfect. After a Queens of the Stone Age concert, they were pretty dirty, but left unscathed by the numerous people stepping on them and from me jumping around for hours. Two days later came Warped Tour and all I could think was how my Vans let me down the previous year, comfort wise at least. This year, I was prepared with new kicks filled with comfort... and the inevitable dust from two nights before that still has not come out. After 10 hours of standing, jumping, and running stage to stage, my feet were still in heaven. Even after five months of landscaping, concerts, gigs, and every day wear. They still do not exhibit any major signs of wear. All in all I will probably buy a few more pairs. Maybe I will go for the low-tops next time. I highly recommend these. Also, if you have big feet like I do, a size 13, and stick legs, go with the low tops. The highs tend to have a clown-like effect to them. On top of everything, the front ribbed foxing is great for - well it hurts when force is put behind it.

Alright, for those of you wondering about sizing, I went one size up from what I wear in Chuck Taylors and it was a perfect fit. I tried just a half size up the first time and had to send those back. As always, the customer service at Zappos is the best. These shoes are a little chunkier than chucks but they seem to be more comfortable. I'm really digging this shoe and may not go back to Chuck Taylors.

So, I've always been a fan of the old-fashioned sports hi-tops. So when I found these, I was overjoyed. I asked around my friends to see if anyone had owned a pair before. One said yes, and that he wore them for 2 or 3 years before outgrowing them. I was sold.
When they came in after ordering, (which only took half the time the shipping tracker said)I was hooked. There's loads of room, but without being loose or too big (I have tall feet). AND the insole is removable, which is good for me because I wear special insoles for my arches.
The comfort factor is top-notch. With all the eyelets, I can tie them as loose, or as tight I want, for a custom fit every time.
All in all, I will be buying many more pairs to come. This is my ultimate go-to shoe.

Very comfy shoe. I am 45 years old and don't feel out if place wearing them. Who cares what the youngsters think anyway! These do not have that felt bottom covering the rubber sole like the Chuck Taylor All Stars have. The felt/fabric covering is an import tax loophole manufactures are using now to pay less import fees. I'm glad PF Flyers do not have that. I hate the felt covering. So long Chucks!
