At the ripe old age of 58 I choose comfort over all else. These are just like the old PF Flyers I used to wear to climb trees and run like the wind when I was a kid. The fit is a little big, but all the better to wear bulky rag socks with. For a real trip down memory lane, lace up your PF Flyers, down a glass of Tang then go out and catch lightning bugs in an old mayonnaise jar. Now if I could just find 35 cent a gallon gas.

If you are looking to add some down-to-earth style to your life these are the wheels you need. You will be a dork all over again and nobody will take you serious while you wear them. Perfect for high powered meetings with bankers. It they will never know that you are really a millionaire tycoon hiding behind the casual attire.

Oh, how I enjoy the perks of Zappos VIP membership. I made this particular purchase over Converse. A: Because Converse in the similar style are a bit more expensive (not worth my money). B: Converses are not comfortable for walking. C: I like the logo on the outside rather than the inside of the shoe. (That has always bothered me about Converse Chucks). I was introduced to to PF Fliers via a small sneaker shop here in Rochester NY, that carried the brand. I loved the rugged quality and detail on the galvanized sole. But the best thing about the PF Flier especially in comparison to Converse All-Stars is the cushy insole, which translates to walking in style and comfort. Another perk is, the vintage look and quality allows them to look pretty darn good distressed. These kicks suit my taste more and I would buy a few more pair if I could afford them. But until then I will beat the street with this pair.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. I've been wearing Converse off and on for many years, always inevitably switching to a skater style of shoe because my feet were killing me. Of course, the major drawback with skate shoes is that your feet get really hot by the end of the day. I was hesitant to try out PF Flyers thinking it would be the same story as the Chucks; talk about a world of difference. They are so comfortable, I use mine for pretty much everything, from day to day use to training on the heavy bag and weight lifting. If you're like me, and wanted a Chucks style shoe - but one that was comfortable and has durability - buy the PF Flyers; you won't regret it. As for sizing, I wear an 8 1/2 US in Chucks, and a 10 US in Flyers.

I have always worn Chucks & when given the opportunity to buy PF's in the past I have decided against it as I am a person who goes with what I know & saw no need to get something I don't know much about. I have read many many comparisons regarding PF Flyers Center Hi & Center Lo Re-Issue to Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Core Hi & Core Ox. So I finally decided to give PF's a try being so many people have given them such praise. Please take my advice & let me clear this slight oversight up. There is no comparison. These shoes are vastly superior in every single way save one. More people wear Chucks. As a person who has worn Chucks for over 30 years I can say with full experience, Chucks are an inferior shoe in comparison. Chuck have been the shoes I grew up with, have always had & worn for day to day but in my opinion PF's I thought always looked better despite having a similar look so I always kind of thought they were knock-off's. What I have now discovered is PF's are 3 times more comfortable than Chucks, more care is taken in choosing proper materials to construct them & the company has been around almost as long as Converse, go figure, not knock-off at all! Unlike Chucks which run a full size bigger, these shoes maybe run approximately a 1/2 size bigger than marked & are a smidgen wider than medium. I have wide feet & these shoes fit perfectly right out of the box. Now of you have narrow feet you may want to wear thick socks, add a thicker shoe bed/insole or you may have to go with Chucks which are more narrow. I wont be buying Chucks any longer now that I finally took the gamble on PF Flyers. Thank you Zappos for always having impeccable service (from quality & quantity of selection, service, great employees & delivery times) Other companies need to take notes from you.

PF Flyers! Wore 'em as a kid and recently ordered a pair from Zappos. They had them in stock and I got them in 3 days! Will order from them again! Thanks Zappos!

My son really waned these and loves them. The strings on the size 6.5s are way too long. After less than a month, the glue on the edge is separating from the canvas upper. He has other shoes, and sports specific shoes, but wears these mostly just for elementary school. I'm pretty disappointing about the glue.

Second time I purchased these shoes through Zappos. Both pairs have stood up to daily use. Might be the last style of shoe I will ever buy!

Best service in the world. Paid me back my postage. Sneakers were too small - sent me a new pair before I sent back the other pair. Got it the next day postage free! Nicole, customer rep, sent me a nice card about our conversation - never heard of that!

I will never buy Converse again. These sneaks are better quality, and the cushioned insoles make them so much more comfortable.

I picked up these shoes because I wanted an alternative to Converse, and I was pleasantly surprised by the shoes I received. Their styles are identical, but the canvas and soles are superior in build to Converse. As well, the shoes are incredibly easy to walk in, given the excellent arch support that comes with the shoes. I have now become a devoted PF Flyers advocate, and will absolutely buy another pair when I am able to.

I bought these for the grooms in our wedding party so they didnt have to wear uncomfortable dress shoes. My now husband loved them so much that I have bought him this pair. He wears them all the time and thinks they are the most comfortable shoes.

This shoe was exactly what my son was looking for...an alternative to Converse hi-top. He likes the fit of these better as they have a 'pocket' for your heel to fit down in comfortably. Also, helps to keep the heel from rubbing as it does with some other canvas hi-tops.

Ordering was easy and I got the shoes quickly. They are super comfortable and well made. I like the retro feel they have to them.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I had a problem with the shoes making a squeaking noise and called Zappos. They apologized and sent me a new pair the very next day. Best service I can remember from any company. The new pair didn't squeak.

Love these sneaks and even without the Sandlot reference. Bought a pair for me and a pair for my pops. Father/daughter sneaks, FTW. He used to wear them in high school and was beyond stoked to have a new pair. Chucks are overrated.

This is the first pair of shoes that I've bought online, and I was not disappointed. They are very comfortable. Much more comfortable than the Converse Chucks. I've had them for about a month now, and so far they have maintained great condition. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who is in need of a comfortable/stylish pair of shoes.

I was a lifelong Converse user, but tried these PFs two years ago. They are much better than the Chucks in many ways for the same price! They are more heavily built with thick double-walled canvas, the rubber sidewalls don't crack or separate like the Chucks do, and they have the great cushioned inserts with a little support which is lacking in the Chucks. Plus, they're more unique as not everyone and his dog has a pair. They just plain hold up much better. I'll be ordering more of them in different colors even though my first pair still isn't worn out! One word of caution: Order a half size larger. The 10.5s felt like 10s, or even close to 9.5s. Needed an 11 in these shoes.

I bought these for my son, because of the Sandlot movie and he's wanted them for two years now, but every body, including Zappos, was constantly out of them, so now, his feet are big enough to fit into man's 4.5. He absolutely loves them, they are worth it! I'm not sure of the fit though, I asked him, but he just said they are great, he doesn't want to risk having to have them sent back!

These shoes are great! They seem to make me run faster and jump higher! I always had Chuck Taylors, but these PF Flyers are a bit more comfy.

These shoes are fresh fly to the max. Vulcanized wedge makes these shoes the obvious choice over Converse. Modern Roman sandal. Wear it.

I bought these for my eight year old son; he loves the movie "The Sandlot" and wanted a pair of PF Flyers just like Benny wears - he wears them every day, he plays hard, and they have held up great! We will definitely be buying another pair when he grows out of these. Love the Flyers!

Love these shoes - they are way more comfortable than Converse. I buy a new pair every year.
