My first pair ever and extremely satisfied. The lightly cushioned, arched insole is a quantum leap beyond 'Chucks'. The heel does make a farty sound, but not all the time and it's not an issue. Will wear these till they fall apart, then get some more!

I'm on my fourth or fifth pair in as many years. Best shoes ever. I wear one pair at work and an old pair for exercising. My oldest pairs are wearable and super comfortable, the insoles do need replacing eventually, New Balance will send you free ones, and you'll want to clean up the rubber once in a while. They can also develop small holes in the sides where the front piece of rubber ends. Note: My last two pairs have squeaked from time to time during their first two weeks. This is your heel rubbing against the back of the shoe. You can stop the noise by walking around with your toes pressed down a little.

PF Flyers live up to the guarantee (run faster and jump higher). The other day I had the challenge of a lifetime in which I had to tame the beast, PF Flyers gave me the edge here. And then they gave me the ability to steal home. Without a doubt the fastest shoes on the market!

I love the look of the shoe; I was a bit concerned that I had to order in a men's size, but the shoe fits great, not too wide. I love the stripe and the emblem. I bought the beige.

I love them. They are a lot more comfortable and solid than Converse All-Stars, especially the modern, one-ply "textile" Chucks. They're made by New Balance, which is one of the less evil shoe companies. I'd recommend these over the competition any day. MAKE SURE YOU ORDER about a half-size higher than normal, though. The other reviewers weren't joking about these fitting a little tight, and I'm glad I took their advice.

What a fantastic shoe. I had been wearing those slip on Vans for years. But then I was watching the Sandlot and figured, 'hey, those shoes look sweet, and they were legendary to my childhood.' So I bought a pair. WOW. Turns out my feet have been walking a crummy life up till now! I LOOOOVE them. I really do feel like I could run faster and jump higher. What a shoe! And hardly anyone else has these, so everyone thinks I'm awesome, haha. Also, my feet have never really settled well with Converse, maybe because I have a little wider of feet? But these really hit the Spot. Now I gotta go pickle The Beast!

I bought these shoes because I wanted an old school look without being like everyone else in their boring Chuck Taylors and Vans. I love the padded insole, it really is nice wearing a vulcanized shoe with an insole meant for real people who need some arch support.

Love 'em.
The plastic ridge design around the toe of the shoe can become uncomfortable while walking for long periods of time. My feet are not "wide" but they aren't "not wide" either. Every kind of shoe that I purchase usually needs to be a different size. Between 9 and 10. I bought these at 9 (which is comfortable when wearing Chuck Taylors) and would probably have to move up to a 9.5. Although that might be a bit long for me.
I still think these are great shoes and "average" feet sizes shouldn't have a problem. I have flexible flat feet and haven't had any arch issues. The rigid construction keeps my feet from over-pronating. This is unusual for a "flat bottom" shoe of this kind.

It's nice to have an alternative to Chuck's. These are classic, really well made sneakers. The design of them is timeless and always in style. Really comfortable too. You DEFINITLEY need to order 1/2 size up though as they tend to be a little snug in your usual size. Get a pair!

These shoes will last you twice as long as a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors, and they have better arch support as well. The only problem I've noticed is they're wider at the top (ankle) and also slip a bit when I walk. I bought some heal inserts that fixed the slippage, but the wide top still bugs me a little. Aside from that, they're built like tanks, look very cool and will last a lot longer than Chucks, so they're worth the extra price.

SANDLOT shoe!
I bought these for my softball playing daughter whose favorite movie is The Sandlot. She absolutely LOVES them - comfort, support (much more so that Converse), style & they're different from what everyone else is wearing. She changed out the laces to match her school colors. Since I'm the same size, I tried them on for as long as she would allow, and they really are very comfortable & supportive. A GREAT shoe!!!
