Young again!!! I had a pair of Chuck Taylor's leather Converse All Stars. They were too narrow and just didn't feel as good as the cloth All Stars; so I was skeptical on buying the PF Flyers. However, once I got them and tried them on, the fit was perfect. I am a manager in my profession. On casual Friday's, I wore them for the first time. They were a big hit, even to the younger crowd. These shoes are the first that I reach for on the weekend.

Skipped a generation - So I'm a 53 year old gramma who bought the PF Flyer Navy Center Lo canvas re-issue size 6. I remember them from the early 60's, and they look and feel the same as they did then, and they are FUN. My 10 year old grandaughter saw them and has twice tried to swipe them from me. "COOL shoes gramma Jean!" So now I've got to get her an identical pair to be able to keep mine.

so happy with pf flyers - My husband's wish came true with the return of PF Flyers. Now he's wearing the shoes he wore as a boy and can "run faster and jump higher" just like he use to do. You have made him very happy. Thank you.

Like others have said about PF Flyers, they are much more comfortable than Chuck Taylors; however, that said, they are still a bit tight and are best suited to people with narrow feet. Love the look, though.

Nice classic cap toe sneaker. For me, these are a little narrow, but that goes for almost all sneakers. Similar fit to classic Chuck Taylor All Star. Love the style here. Sole is a little stiff, in a good way.

I love these shoes, though my feet at the toes are just a bit too wide and the shoe has no give for being broken in at the front, but I still make it work (it really isn't that bad). But smaller than your actual size. I had to go a full size smaller then my shoe size and returning though is very easy it still takes awhile for the whole process to be completed. All in all though, I would for sure buy these again.

Overall I like these shoes. I'm used to wearing athletic shoes so these felt unventilated to me, but most shoes do to me. I have narrow feet and these worked well in the size I bought, but somehow my pinky toes are getting pinched after I walk around. It's not so bad that I'll return them though.

They do feel rather low-cut around the ankle, which for me produces an almost slipper-like feel more than a solid shoe feel. I don't mind that much, since I wear them mostly around the house. On the plus side, I'm amazed at the level of workmanship. Everything is very neat, even and symmetric. Even though these are just sneakers, it's clear they were produced by people who care about doing a good job. That ribbed toe area looks a little clunky in photos but in reality I think it's fine.

I really love these shoes. More comfortable and more heavily made than Converse. I have to slip a small lift in the heel of my left shoe so the removable cushioned inserts are awesome! Everyone wears Chucks, so these stand out more. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the side rubber on one shoe began to crack and peel after only a week (my previous all black and all tan pairs never did this), and I have to order a full size larger than my normal size. Don't know why the sizing is so weird. Overall though, still my favorite sneaker! Classic, tough and versatile! Zappos, as always, has an incredible service!

These shoes do not provide any arch support, so you are wearing them for style only. Mr. Clean magic eraser works great on the shoes to keep them looking new. I love these shoes, but only for casual. They are not good for lengthy walking!

These are a good shoe. They have held up pretty well over a year, a little uncomfortable after long periods of time, I had to get some Dr. Scholl's to make them a little more comfy.

Great shoe, but feels a bit narrow - My previous pair of PF Flyers split along the instep, and this pair feels a bit narrow as well. Otherwise a great classic sneaker...

Could be wider - The shoe fits very well overall. I have kinda wide (not freakishly so, though) feet and found the mid-sole of the shoe to be a bit narrow. Arch support is great. Very cool shoes.

Heavy on nostalgia, tight on toes - If you're foot is even just a little wider than average, beware. I, too, was attracted to these shoes by memories of a childhood spent in PF Flyers, but they don't seem to fit my grownup foot. The length was fine for my 9 1/2 foot, but the front of the shoe was unbearably tight in the width and in "height," which is something I've never even considered in a shoe. My foot is a little wider than average, but I've never needed to buy a "wide" fit shoe in my life, so I was surprised. Since the length was fine, and the toe box was too constricting, it doesn't seem worth trying 10. For what it's worth, my Jack Purcell’s fit me fine. My wife got a pair of the Flyers and they fit her fine.

fun shoe - This is a fun shoe, reminding me of the sneakers I wore as a kid. Very comfortable, but doesn't really have any arch support. Like most sneakers, I bought a half size up. It's roomy barefoot but just right with thicker athletic socks.

The sole feels extremely heavy and clunky. These definitely run big, I had to get a half size smaller than I normally do. Not a bad shoe, but definitely do not recommend for all day use.

These were a disappointment--an example of cute shoes I needed to have tried on before buying. There was nothing wrong with them per se, but the tendency of the heel to slide up and down (typical of canvas tennies) and a slightly uncomfortable toe box made them a poor choice for me.

Not the same - These are not the classic PFs they claim to be. I actually have a pair of Uniroyal PF-Flyers from the late 1960s. I outgrew them but like them so much I saved them for nostalgia since Uniroyal went out of the shoe business and I couldn't get any more. So when I saw these PFs on Zappos I had to order them but I was soon disappointed. In comparing these to my original PFs I see many ways that they are different and inferior. For example the thing I like best about PFs was their unique insole- the front part was a tough green-colored fine-weave canvas and the heel and arch was a raised white rubber pad which no other sneakers had. It was very durable and had a unique feel, especially when worn without socks as I liked to do. But these “PFs” only cosmetically simulate the original PF insole- they are really flimsy cloth-covered foam insoles that slip right out of the shoe and are no way as durable (flimsy insoles is a major complaint I have with modern day sneakers). I don't blame Zappos for this- but whatever company is now making PFs and claiming they are re-issues of the originals.

I ordered these PF Flyers because I had loved my other canvas ones. These ones were horrible. I could wear my old ones without socks but these ones gave me horrible blisters. Even after wearing my thickest socks they still gave me blisters and irritated my heel. SO now I am returning them. I hope no one else has this problem.

I purchased these for my 13 year old daughter. After three months the white rubber on the sides, in the same places, on both shoes started to crack. She wears these only to school, not in gym class. I wanted these for her because they have alot more support than Converse. Her Converse never fell apart after only three months. Very disappointed.
