Overall experience is good: they fit well, they have a great silhouette, and they hold up for regular usage. Not sure about modern laces, but nothing seems to stay on tied. Not just an Adidas problem, just sharing a POV. This shoe sits somewhere in the middle as far as presence - not a large chunky flex, but also not so skinny you lose your foot to your pants leg. If you don't like the Samoa, there is no changing your mind- but if you need a good, solid & affordable go-to in your rotation, this could work for you.

We bought this shoe in several colors, you can use these for running, martial arts or just a very stylish shoe. Long lasting does not scratch easy and is very comfortable.

I ordered my 5th pair today! This is a great all-around shoe in the classic Adidas look. Real leather uppers, cushy insole, thick springy mid-sole, flexible yet supportive, heel cup grips securely without pain. The glued-on black rubber out-sole wears well, is grippy with its trefoil pattern that does not hold mud as some other soles do. This shoe will be too narrow for some feet, but -- thank you Adidas, I have a narrow foot! The Samoa fits snugly, giving agility across slopes and uneven terrain. I can use it for dayhikes, or put on a clean pair for the OPERA. Not kidding.

Can't wait to purchase more colors! I can pair these with a few different outfits.

It's one of my favorite casual shoes. It has style looks clean but not too flash I can wear it on a regular day or if I'm going out. Just works all around.
