I love these boots! I have a high instep and a wide foot, I was sure I would have to send them back. Nit! They fit great and are so comfortable. I usually wear an 8.5 m but I bought 8.5 w and I am glad I did. I loved these boots so much I bought another pair in Black Ostrich. Lucchese is the only brand of boot I ever need to buy. Fit, comfort, quality and style by far outrank the competition. Zappos, thanks for being #1 in customer service.

For my first pair of cowboy boots I wanted a pair with the following attributes: Rich color, high quality/craftsmanship, beautiful detailing, soft leather, comfortable and stylish (feminine but still look like authentic cowboy boots). I did a ton of research before finally ordering the Mad dog brown goatskin Lucchese N4554. I received them the very next day (GREAT ZAPPOS SERVICE AS USUAL!!!!!!). I could not be happier with the boots. They are stunners. The rich dark brown color can be worn with anything. They are amazing boots. As far as fit, my normal size is an 8 and I ordered an 8 in the boots and they fit perfect. I have a high instep (top of foot) and so was worried about being able to get the boot on but absolutely no problems. They truly fit like a glove and are light and extremely comfortable to wear. I can\'t imagine purchasing anything other than Lucchese boots. In fact, I just placed an order for the same boot but in the Mad dog tan color! Thanks Lucchese for making such beautiful boots and thank you Zappos for having such a great selection to choose from and for such great customer service.

I love these boots! They are beautiful and very comfortable. They are true to size and I have regular to wide feet and I was very happy that I ordered the wide width. If you don't have narrow feet, I suggest you order the wide width. Worth every penny!

This is the third pair of Lucchese boots I've had the pleasure of wearing, and I will never own any other brand of western boot. The craftsmanship is top quality, the fit is impeccable, and the look of the boot itself is beautiful and timeless. I ordered my normal size and can wear them with wool socks. Also, Zappos has the best price on the market - cheaper than other western outfitters.

Overall this was a great buy. Customer service is so helpful. I bought this boot in my normal size (6.5) and it fit like a glove. They should feel snug the first few times you wear them, and even mine are still a little snug with boot socks, but I'd personally rather have a more snug boot than one that's too loose and kicking up in heel too much. Don't concentrate on the heel. Just make sure your toes aren't squished in the toe-box, and concentrate on how the topside of the boot conforms to the top of your foot. That part should be comfortably snug, as that's what keeps the boot on your foot when you walk. NOT the heel. The heel will always kick up a little bit, especially in the beginning before the sole has had enough wear to bend and become more flexible. Mine has very little kick now. I recommend buying in your normal size (Lucchese is known for being very standard about sizing) and if you feel it's too snug order 1/2 a size up. Or be bold if you don't mind the temporary charge on the credit card and buy 2 pairs--one normal size, and one half a size up and you can't go wrong! Just return whichever feels less comfortable, and only walk on carpeted areas to ensure you get your money refunded. Hope this helps! You won't regret a Lucchese--you might with other brands, but you will never regret a Lucchese fit.

I was awed by the boots at the San Antonio Lucchese store...if I had the money I'd buy them all. This is my first pair of cowboy boots, and they are so comfortable and stylish. The brown is a perfect color, goes with everything. I get compliments all the time, even though NY is not really cowboy country. The size is true to fit. The Lucchese salesman said for $330+ boot, you do NOT want to break them in, they should fit right away. These boots clean up beautifully; I sometimes get caught in dirt and mud. I use the Bickmans cleaner and conditioner which Lucchese recommends. They look new every time. Lucchese was so worth the money. And they will resole them for your lifetime for free. I am now waiting for my second pair; I couldn't resist the champagne color to wear for my wedding this summer! I can't wait!

The fit, look, comfort and style were 5 stars right out of the box. No break-in needed for these boots. I'm in love!
