These boots are exactly what I was looking for. Great style, semi dress and casual. The quality is such that they will last forever. Only took 3 or 4 wearings to break them in. They never go on sale cause they don't have to - they are still a great value.

Just received my first pair of Frye boots! Frye Campus in the dark brown. I took the advice of previous reviewers and went down a half size and they are perfect. I am a true 7.5 and the 7's fit great. These are such classic boots. I was looking for a boot that's simple, retro/classic, and a bit artsy. They're perfect. I love the heel and the thick sole. They are really cute and well worth the money. I know if I take really good care of them, they will last a very long time. I can't say enough great things about service from Zappos, you are awesome!

These a like wearing a stiff second layer of skin. Very comfortable, but may seem a tad snug til they've been worn for a couple of hours. Easy/comfortable to walk in, they provide good foot protection when your on your bike or just walking around town. They look good with stuff other than jeans, but their style compliments your favorite jeans best. They don't make the same statement like a good pair of 12Rs or cowboy boots do, but you will get noticed when you walk in wearing these: they're the guys version of really nice shoes.

Back in the very early '70s, I bought a pair of the original Frye Stirrup/Harness boots that were 14 inches high. Not like the shorter version they make now. Anyway, they were my favorite boots. The Campus 14Ls are just like those original harness boots without the harness straps. I love these boots mainly because my toes are not forced into a pointy boot toe the way most other boots are made. Though they are a bit snug and take a little work to get my feet in them, once on they are extremely comfortable and my feet feel great. Though they are kind of expensive (at least on my budget), these boots are made to last. I believe they will be with me for a long time. Highly recommended.

"CLASSY FRYE BOOTS" I recently received my Campus Frye Boots in “Moss.” The Color is gorgeous and unique, slightly different than I pictured! The boot color is a described as "Moss" but to me it is more of a "green turquoise" shade because there definitely is a shading of blue in this “Moss” color! The boot's workmanship is excellent. Leather top quality and very comfortable. The boots run true to size not too narrow just perfect. I was able to take them right out of the box- and wear them to work with a great pair of jeans this past Friday! I was able to wear my Frye's throughout the day in comfort which is such a relief! I more often than not always have to change into the "comfortable standard when wearing a new shoe to work -but not on Friday. I continued to wear Frye's into early evening, when I joined friends and family for an early dinner at one of our favorite “bistros”. I received compliments from everyone on the great look of the boot etc… And they looked great with my jeans. Because they are so well made and gorgeous I can wear them with almost any thing and anywhere. The price of my Frye's in addition to Zappos Free Shipping made this shoe purchase one of the best I've made! By the way the last time I wore a pair of Frye Boots was in 1970 when I was a College Senior- At that time Frye's came in one color tan! I am one happy Baby Boomer- Middle Aged (on the later side of 50 years young) and honestly when I slipped on my Frye's I again felt like I was "walking on Campus!" I purchased these when on sale a few months ago from Zappos at the best price I've ever seen. They arrived within a day or two. They seem to fit pretty true to size, 10 for me, although the toe box is a little narrow, so I don't wear them much with thick socks. Fairly comfortable out of the box, they have become better after breaking in. I think they'd look better with a lower heel, but the heel doesn't hurt the comfort. The leather gave off a strange and kind of unpleasant smell, like that of a carpet being shampooed, for a couple of months. It's not like a typical leather smell. The smell went away after about two months, but I didn't like being around these boots indoors until then. Since they should last 20 years, that's not too much trouble.

I bought these boots at my usual size and they fit fine, I have a slightly wide foot, but they do not feel overly snug. However I found them to be really wide in the shaft and they seem to come out around the ankle making them look quite sloppy, I really think the measurements are wrong. I was planning to wear them over my jeans, but I am not too keen on that now. The shoe part looks really nice under wider pants, especially in the white I bought. I have slim calves, so I think they would be better on someone with average to wider calves, though, I still think they would bag out at the ankle.
