I wore Birkenstocks in the 80s, but they stopped being comfortable for me. After I broke my leg several months ago, I was trying to find a shoe I could adjust to accommodate the swelling and slip out of easily. The Boston style accommodates socks very well without having to order up a size, and is great for cooler weather. It was also extremely comfortable right out of the box, with only a small fraction of the break-in required for the traditional footbed kind. They aren't the most attractive clog, but I think they are the most comfortable I've ever worn. I thought I'd stop wearing them after my break healed, but I wear them whenever I can.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I did need few days to break them in, but nothing like the regular bed ones. I usually wear size 7.5-8 in regular shoes, so I first tried size 38 here since I have several other pairs of shoes in European sizes and they are all 38s. These were a tad too small so I exchanged them for 39, now they fit perfectly. I got pretty narrow feet and even the narrow shoe was a little loose, but not enough to bother me. I got them in taupe since that was pretty much the only color available in this size when I ordered and didn’t want to wait. I just love them!!! As always, I was amazed with the Zappos service. I ordered them on a Thursday night and got them the next day by noon.

Very comfortable. Nice room toe box. No sharp leather edges. Would buy again.

Present for my wife. This shoe is by far her choice for all occasions. This is the third pair, wears them until there is not much left (excellent wear).

Duck feet, but comfortable - I bought this shoe to help with my foot condition called Morton's Neuroma, and as far as that's concerned, it helps a lot! Plus I also have heel spurs too, and it helps with that also, but they are not cute or attractive in the least. But when you have as many problems as I do I’ve learned not to be picky. Birkenstocks do take some getting used to. There is a breaking in period, and you can develop blisters from that, but after they feel great and really support my feet like no other show can. I will be buying more! And thank you Zappos for the free OVERNIGHT SHIPPING! What a god send for people with problem feet!

Nice - These shoes are awesome. I highly recommend the soft beds over the normal ones. The narrow width fits me great! I like to wear these shoes with jeans with or without socks.

They are sooooo comfortable! This is the first Birkenstock I have bought with the soft bed. OH MY GOSH!!!! They are sooooo comfortable barefoot or with socks!!! They not only feel great, they LOOK great too! I sprayed them with a Scotchguard kind of protection and I expect to wear and enjoy them for a very long time to come!!!! Now I want another pair in a different color!!!! The trick is knowing your correct size. They tend to run large.

Very comfortable shoes - I have a pair of Birk sandals that I've had forever. I wanted something w/ a closed toe. They required almost no break-in. They felt great to start. I am so glad that they come in a narrow. That plus adjustable strap makes them a perfect fit.

Love the soft footbeds - There is virtually no 'wear-in' period for any the soft footbed Birkenstocks I have owned. I wore a new pair to walk around a city sightseeing and had no problems with them. I recently got a Boston pair because I wanted a sandal substitute for colder weather. I got what I asked for: Birkenstocks comfort plus warm toes. They feel just like my Floridas. I did have some issue the first day with the side suede by the strap folding under my arch, but that stopped happening within that first day. I purchase Birkenstocks in size 37 narrow and normally wear a US 6.5 medium width.

2 sizes tried - I wear a size 12 (women's) and tried both the 45 narrow and 44 narrow. The 44 narrow actually felt like a narrow, so I kept those. Very comfy except sometimes the side pieces fold in on my feet.

So comfortable! I have terrible heel pain (plantar fasciitis) and needed comfortable shoes. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day when I work as a nurse. I originally ordered the regular footbed but it was too uncomfortable for me. I then decided on the soft footbed and it's perfect. I have narrow feet and the narrow width is very good and I can adjust the strap to fit better. I wish this came in a leather so that I could wipe away the germs easier when I'm at the hospital. I bought the embossed nubuck and they are very high quality. They do run small. I am an 8 narrow normally. I got a 39 narrow and had to return for a 40 narrow.

Birkies - My order was at my house the day after I ordered it. I put the shoes on and wore them right away and they were comfortable from the first step. I have had these shoes before and will but them again in another color for the fall.

Comfy and easy to wear - I got these shoes to replace my wool clogs for summer, and I *love* them! Like all Birkenstocks, they take a couple of days to break in, but it's soooo worth it. Incredibly comfortable, easy to slip on and off - I wear them every single day.

Birkenstocks Clog - Excellent clog - I love them, wear them all the time, and actually have them on now. Ordering shoes (and returning them if necessary) with Zappos could not be easier.

Like House shoes... These shoes are so comfortable; it’s like wearing your house shoes out of the house! I did order the narrow and have narrow feet and they are a bit wide, but I think that is part of the fit. I wear wool socks which are thick and they are comfy. I couldn't run a race in them- they would fall off - ha! I am very happy with these! If your foot is average to narrow, I would order the narrow! I normally wear a 9 ½ and I had to order the 41.
