My first pair of Birkenstocks. I never purchased a pair because of the lack of style. I was looking for a comfortable shoe I could wear anywhere, slip on and not be a sandal. I typically wear a women’s 10.5 and I ordered the 41 N. The 41 was slight too small so exchanged it for a 42 N. I find the food bed still hard but looking forward to breaking them in!

First time I have tried the 'soft' foot bed. They are much more comfortable than the regular foot bed. As for style, I love them! I wear them mostly around the house or for running quick errands.

I have narrow feet so I purchase the narrow and it was perfect! I still have room for socks during the winter. Love it!

Love these. They're comfortable and supportive. The suede hasn't held up the best, but they're comfy and I love. Can't beat Birks. I float between a 38 and 39, many sandals I wear a 38, these I had to do 39.

I have been resoling my original pair of Boston's since 1995. They still feel great but the suede and cork are a little beat up. I will continue to use them as a beater pair. I thought that I'd try the soft soled version this time and I think that they will be great. They still feel like they have to break in a bit, but not nearly as much as the original ones needed to. The quality looks the same as my original pair from the 90's and they feel great. I look forward to decades of use from this pair as well. Love Birkenstocks!

This is my 3rd pair and I love the Boston for cold weather. I typically wear a size 10 sneaker and size 9.5 loafer or dress shoe. My foot also measures a 9.5E on the Brannock device. Based on my normal size I should wear a 42, but the 42 is too big. The 41 is perfect. I highly recommend Birkenstock Boston shoes. Once you break them in, it's like an extension of your foot.

I love these Birkenstock but I returned this pair because of the color. I ordered the Port which on my computer looks like a beautiful dark burgundy but really it was a light peachy-rust color, soles are brown. If you like fall colors this ones for you.

I love Birkenstock’s, especially in the summer! Transitioning into the cooler weather I needed a comfortable pair of shoes that were easy to take on and off! These did not disappoint, I read reviews first, and I’m glad I did. I am usually a 9. I ordered the size 40 narrow! Perfect fit. I read in previous emails of you are a women , the narrow fits better than the wide. I totally agree!

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks in many years. I ordered the soft bed in the Brown Amalfi. The shoe has a wide toebox (which is no surprise for Birkenstocks) but I tightened the buckle and remedied that issue without a second thought. The color is a very dark brown - almost black, so I did exchange them for the Habana Oiled leather which the the exact color I wanted. I am thrilled with these. Non of the normal "breaking" in. They are ready to hit the pavement the minute you put them on!! Great purchase!

Bought the 5 the Mocha. First time ever buying Birkenstocks so I had to order SEVERAL to get a feel for fit and color. Narrow for Birks is really more like slightly wide. Wide is very wide. The mocha color is really rich and yummy. Definitely need to wear with thick socks.

Hi! Love these shoes! I wear Arizonas all summer and wanted a winter shoe. I had plantar fasciitis for three years and have a large bag of boots, braces, balls, ice packs, etc to prove it. (Religious downward dog yoga stretching is what finally fixed it.) Anyway, I do not want to go back there, so I rarely go bare foot. I bought these for weeknight and weekend wear. I’m a solid 7.5 women’s shoe and love the Arizonas in 38 narrow. Unfortunately, my long toes hit the suede in the 38 narrow Bostons. I went up to a 39 narrow and they turned into the dreamy Birks I hoped for. I wish they had gray suede but went with the dark green instead. That color is very rich, dark, and unobtrusive as Birks can get. Love them!

The first order was contianed in a plastic bag. The shoes felt very narrow and one shoe felt a whole size smaller. I called Zappos and Judith was a great help! She suggested that I may have received a defect pair and she sent me another pair overnight. The second pair were housed in a Birkenstock box and fit perfectly. I wear the same size and width in the soft sole in the open toe version as I do in the closed toe version. Both fit without a sock or with a thin sock. So comfy! Can’t beat real Birks! And I appreciate the great Zappos customer service.

This was my first purchase of Birkenstock Boston. I had tried Birkenstock shoes before but without the Soft Footbed and they weren't comfortable for me. The Soft Footbed on the Boston was perfect and the adjustable strap was a real plus. I am very pleased with my purchase!

It must have been over 15 years ago when I owned my last pair of Birkenstocks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality appears to be just as good (if not better!) than my original pair. The leather material, versus the suede, is a little bit more stiff as you would probably expect; however, the fit was perfect. I appreciate the strap adjustment that allows you to dial in the correct fit. Nice arch support. A very nice "sandal" where the closed toe part upscales the appearance -- You can get away with that "business casual" appearance with this shoe.

I have been wearing this model and cover since 1991. In a world where so much changes and quality varies, the Birkenstock Boston is a comforting island of stability. They're my go-to shoe when there isn't snow on the ground. I chose the taupe color way back when because it can be worn with every color of trouser and even my pale legs look fine (my Birks are almost never worn with socks). If you are reading this to help you decide, let this be the vote that convinces you. Get a pair. Buy them from Zappos. You will not be disappointed.

I always wear an 8 in shoes. Normal width feet. Because these were unisex, I ordered a narow width, in a 39. They are perfection. I am wearing them for professional shoes as a nurse practitioner that works 24 hour shifts. Definately worth the investment. You pay for what you get. I had been wearing Dansko's which I still like, but they got to heavy to wear for thar long of a period. These are a great alternative.

Love this Birkenstock! Took a chance ordering a soft footbed for the first time. At first, I kinda, sorta, missed the higher arch support of traditional Birkenstocks. But I quickly become enamored of the soft footbed. The support is sufficient. I wear an 8 in Keens, and most often an 8 1/2 in other brands of shoes. The 39 fit perfectly. And there will be enough room for woolly winter socks when the season changes. Per the info offered in the Item Information section on the shoe description, I ordered the Narrow width for my medium width foot. It's just right. I love the Oiled Leather look. I took a chance, too, on the new-to-me Boston style. It's extremely comfortable and makes easier walking at a quicker pace than my old Arizona sandals ever did. Hah...when I talked to one of Zappos magnificent customer service associates (about returning another type of shoe) I related that my first pair of Birkenstock Arizonas cost $36!

I have owned a pair of these for over 12 years and the bottoms are finally almost worn off in places. I know I can have them resoled, but I thought I would buy another pair. They are not exactly stylish, but they are so comfortable that I wear them everywhere.

Soft footbed is fantastic for my plantar fasciitis, even better than the regular footbed, which has been my go-to for years.

I am a regular wearer of Birkenstock's soft foot bed sandals. Great to find a covered toe clog in this style. I had been waiting for the Mocha color to be restocked by Zappos. Shoe is very comfortable right out of the box. The suede is soft and the clog can be tightened for a more secure fit by the buckle strap going across the top. I can wear these all day long. I highly recommend Birkenstock's soft foot bed sandals as a first-try option to anyone who hasn't worn these before. The soft foot bed is comfortable for those who can't tolerate the regular hard cork foot bed. The arch support is terrific!

This Boston Birkenstock is so comfortable! I got it in the soft footbed in a narrow and it fit and felt so comfortable right out of the box. Unless you have a wide foot, I would recommend this one in the narrow because I tried the regular first and it was way too wide. The soft football it the best too, because it feels great right away. Absolutely love these these shoes. These are my daily go to. Have been wearing the Boston for over 30 years. I typically get 5 plus years out of them before replacing or having them resoled. Also, the soft foot bed is a must. Totally worth the extra spend. Can go wrong with Birkenstock. Solid purchase.

I have been using Birkenstocks for many many years. I couldn't really do without them. The support and comfort they provide cannot be beaten. I have tried both the regular and the soft foot beds. The soft is definitely more comfortable. The style of course is classic and I don't mind that, but perhaps someone out there can think of a new style. Can't promise that I would like it though!!

I got the last pair in 2008 So this was my second pair These are likely the best shoes that I have ever used Once can use them with scrubs ,with jeans, with shorts and while traveling Now I am using them while traveling in India Previoulsy I have used them in Kauii on the beaches and mountains The best part is that the sole molds to your feet and makes the shoe very very comfortable Moreover they need minimal or no care at all I am looking forward to buying the third pair after 8 or so years :)
