I am slightly bummed about the fit on this boot. I ordered my regular size, a 10. Too big. I had seen many people comments that it was smart to order a half size down, so I returned them for a 9.5. Now I am thinking I definitely would have been happy with a 9 but I have already worn them so I cannot do an exchange. So! Ladies, size down or be prepared to break out some thick socks. (Overall, they are gorgeous. The stitching is lovely.)

I have 6 pairs of Ariats that I use for Horseback riding. This pair is for my motorcycle class and they are very comfortable and able to remain so with hours of being on my feet. Also survived a muddy paddock grabbing my horse too. Like all Ariat products, great quality and comfort. My only quibble is that I have very slim calves and these boots are made for average widths. Thus, they are a little wide above the ankle, but most cowboy boots are!

I got these in black. They are my second pair of Ariat western boots. I have tried Dan Post which run large to me and Justin which were tight. These are the only ones so far that seem to fit me. There are some other more expensive brands out there, but for the money, I believe these are a good value and I get a lot of compliments on them. They are quite comfortable and I like that there is a rubber sole to prevent you from slipping. I hope to get more colors.

Ariat Boot - Comfortable from day 1. Hardly had to break in at all. Nice, all around, everyday boot.

Comfortable boot - I was looking for a black boot, and based on the strong recommendations I ordered the Ariat Western R-toe. It was VERY comfortable right out of the box, and I was tempted to keep the boots. But I really wanted something with a little more style, something more refined. I went up in price and purchased a Lucchese boot.

This boot meets all my expectations for Ariat footwear: solid workmanship, classic styling, and instant comfort. It's a great basic boot for everyday wear. I would love to have this same boot with a more fashion look, like red leather, since it is a shame that a boot that you can wear all the time is too plain to dress up.

Great Boot - Love the boot, the foot bed is a bit narrower than my other Ariat's, but it still feels great.

Heritage Western Round-Toe - I love my boots, even though they were a little difficult to get on and off at first as I think is common with western-style boots. The boots themselves are comfortable and roomy inside. They are well-made and attractive and I expect they will last and look great for a very long time. I like the fact that the soles are rubberized and don't make a lot of noise. They have removable gel inserts for comfort. I don't normally wear western style accessories, but I liked the height and the shape of the toe and heel. They are feminine and look nice with boot-cut jeans. I very much look forward to cold days when I can wear them.

Wow, really comfy - I have 4 pairs of cowboy boots from different manufacturers and these were definitely the most comfortable right out of the box. They do seem to run pretty large in the heel though. I wish they made a 10.5 because I think the 11 is just too large for my perfect size 11 foot.

These boots will last forever, wider than they look - Strong, sturdy western boots with nice details. Bottom is not leather, so they're very good for winter weather. I have narrow feet and normally wear Lucchese boots, which apparently are narrower than normal. These are loose on my narrow feet, but with thick socks and an insole, they're fine. If your feet are a little on the wide side, they'll be great for you.

First cowboy boots - As a first time owner of a pair of Ariat cowboy boots I find these extremely comfortable. I prefer a more rounded toe for lots of walking. I'll be wearing these most likely with socks and pants in colder weather and they look great. The calves are wider than I would like if I choose to wear them with skirts. I'm happy with this purchase.

Beautiful boot- These are so beautiful and comfortable. The size was perfect except the calves are too wide and look like they flared too much under jeans. Unfortunately I have to return them since they do not look as flattering on me as I hoped.

Western boot - This is a very comfortable boot. It is great for those with heavier calves and for those on their feet all day.

A good value - These boots don't look as good in person as they did on the site but for the price they are a good value. Comfortable and easy to wear, they are a very nice boot for the price.

A bit too large in width - This was my first shoe/boot I ordered from Zappos, and I must agree with everyone else when they say that Zappos' service is superb. It took about 2 days for my shipment to arrive as well. The boot, however, is a bit too large in the calf area. I have small legs, but relatively large feet, so the dimensions don't really match up on me as far as the structure of the boot. I've tried them on with pants, and they look ok, but still are a bit too large. They are extremely comfortable though.
