Kind of plain boot but comes in large sizes. Has more toe room than most. Arch support feels good for about 3 days then needs replaced.

First I would like to say I have many pairs of boots Ariats and other name brands I wear boots everyday of my life to school, work, around the house, in the pasture and even grocery shopping and normally I purchase square toe boots but I decided to buy these round toe working boots in hopes they would be more effective for my everyday wear. I purchased the brown distressed Heritage Roper boots size 7.5C about two months ago, and just like any boot I have ever owned I had to do some breaking in; the boot was extremely uncomfortable at first to where they were unbearable to wear at times. I own another pair of Ariat's that have a square toe and more for causal wear not for work and I can honestly say I do not remember them hurting so bad to break in while wearing them. After about a week the boot started to feel more comfortable but the heel is somewhat loose this does not cause me discomfort but I know boots are made to fit snug. Overall I love the look of the boot, the material, the width and the comfort and I would purchase them again I wear them everyday and I have already put them through a lot so they seem to be withstanding well.

I was given these about four years ago, I have worn them three days a week at least three months throughout the summer every year, as well as sporadically throughout the rest of the year, in rain, manure, mud, extreme heat. Just this last year they've started to break down slightly on the inside, but only the lining, the rest is still top notch. The reason I give this boot four stars instead of five is just that I think they could be slightly more comfortable, the sole becomes a bit hard after walking in them for a few hours.

I wear a size 10½ in almost every type of shoe/boot that exists and the 10½ fit me perfectly. The key to a proper fit with a boot is simply: It should fit like a glove. The boot looks somewhat narrow, but as always, Ariat constructed this boot really well and these boots felt like a dream from the first time I put them on. The leather is really nice and soft, the soles are high quality and the heel is not too high. My only complaint is I wish there was more padding at the ball of my foot but I absolutely love these boots!

Nice boots. I found the fit to be about a half size large, but their return policy is excellent so I exchanged the 10.5 for size 10. They're still a little wide for me in that the heel slips when I walk, so if they came in a C width, Id have been better off, but for what they are, they're a quality boot.

A very nice everyday boot. I have wide feet and the EE fit fine. The boots were a little stiff at first but broke in to be comfortable. Great shipping and service from Zappos.

I had always worn Cowboy boots. I tried these because I wanted a lower heel. This information is needed to understand my evaluation. Pros: These are a high quality shoe. They are very comfortable and have good traction. The size and wide was true to size for me (10D). As a work boot these are great. Cons: They are a bit heavy for my taste. More like a work boot. Had I known it (mission) was more of an oil skin (distressed) finish, I would have ordered a different color. The tops are shorter than I like. Every time I stand up I have to fix my pant leg over the top of the boot. As a dress boot, these are not a good match.

My husband usually wears a 10.5 but I had to return them for a 10.0 Hopefully they will fit because he likes the style. Western look without being too "JR"!

This is a great pair of boots! They look great, you can dress them up or dress them down. They are very durable and comfortable.

I have worn the Heritage Roper boots since 2005. These boots were made in Indonesia and my fit was 11.5 W. I have tried to purchase the same boots that are made in Vietnam and the size is not consistent. The 11.5 boots were too large, the 11.0 boots were a little too large, and the 10.5 boots were really odd. The right boot fit properly, but the left boot was so small I couldn't get my foot into the foot box. I'll keep trying, but I can no longer order on-line.

The boots in the add are a lighter honey color than the ones I received in my order. The ones I got were a darker brown color.

Yesterday I've tried the boots at the store in my size (45 D), and while the length of the boots and the toe area were ok, the problem was the instep area which was too big (not snug enough).
The inconsistency in instep area size is the reason for only 3 stars.

I love the looks, fit and feel of these boots. There was no break-in period, so to speak. I normally wear a 13W, which is what I ordered. The only problem I have is with the stitching and coarseness at the top of the boots. It chafed my shin area. I tried a fix then I saw chafing on the other leg. I will try to fix or get the problem fixed because I want to wear these regularly.

I'll give three stars because I know the quality of Ariat is awesome, but I never received the correct order. I ordered a size 12 mens black boot and received size 7 women's brown boots so it wasn't even close to what I ordered. The return was handled promptly but unfortunately I didn't get to wear them to a wedding which is what I needed them for.

These are very nice boots and good looking too. I have another pair of Ariat Boots (The Heritage R) and they are a 9.5" medium. They fit great and I've had them for years. I naturally ordered the same size in the Ropers but they were too narrow and my toes felt a bit cramped. I called customer service and they were very nice. I decided to order a 10" medium. They fit me fine in width now and my toes are fine but now the heels are too loose!

Look good and the fit is pretty good but the seams on the tops are not flattened and covered and if I don't put moleskin on my left ankle I'd have a big blister from the very hard seam rubbing against it. Hoping I can soften it with time and some saddle oil.

Very heavy, yet the sole does not look lasting and so very disappointed that they were made in Indonesia, I purchased Ariat because I thought they were made in America, clearly they have sold out like so many others

I've worn this same style of Ariat boot forna out 12 years. This is my 3rd pair. Same model number, same size, same color, etc.
These new boots are visibally narrower than the previous pair and the toe is not as wide. The seams inside rub on my ankles, and now, after wearing them for 3 weeks, they are beginning to rub on my heels.
They are just not the same.

Love the boots. My old pair are really old and going strong.
But, these new boots are rubbing my ankle sides really bad, I mean deep rubs to the bone . Any ideas short of bandages on sides of ankles?
Thanks
Rick

I've worn the Heritage Roper round toe and wide square toe for years. My last pair, ordered a few months ago, were a real disappointment. Lighter weight uppers and poor quality stitching that is already unraveling. This new pair is not durable enough for horse farm work.

Unfortunately, we had to return the boots. They were the perfect color and well made but each shoe fit differently.

These boots started great and then developed a ridge I inside the heel pocket that is getting worse. I have tried to contact customer service with no response.

Sadly, I've worn a few times with thick socks, extra footbeds and even an ankle brace, but they are just too big. I ordered 8 wide which should have been right, but felt like it was a 9 ! Should have sent back right away but now am stuck with an expensive boot that doesn't fit. I had a pair bought many years ago in brown (men's size that fit) but after so many years they allow my ankle to turn. Don't know why the black ones I got recently are so big!
