Everything I read about this boot was on the mark. They were very comfortable right out of the box. The sole on this boot is great. Shipping was right on the money and the boots couldn't have been any better if I had bought them in person. Would without question do this again in a heartbeat.

I read a few concerns about the boots being narrow. I found them to be a bit snug in the side, but it actually felt good, and the boot eventually conformed.
I was looking for a boot that goes above the ankle and didn't have any designs on the toe. These are perfect.

The order was placed at 2:00 on Saturday and arrived at 10:00 on Monday. I put the boots on and wore them for an entire day with no pain. They felt like an old friend! I hate shoe shopping! When I need another pair, forget the mall, etc. I'll be back.

WOW! What a great boot. No breaking them in; fits my size exactly and feels like I’m wearing a pair of moccasins. They are so comfortable. I only wish I could get this same boot with steel toes for work.

I own 3 pair of Ariat Roper Boots -
Since May 2006 I have purchased 3 pair of Ariat Roper boots. All are true to size and width and have excellent arch support. They are comfortable right out of the box. I wore one new pair out of the box to a George Strait concert where I had to walk 1.5 miles to park and eat before the concert. The boots felt great!

I wanted a boot for western riding, both here near Philly and in Arizona, where I do riding vacations. I have sensitive feet, with a neuroma in one. I've tried on cowboy boots of all sorts. The Ariat is the first that works. I've had this pair for a month or so, and was able to use them right away without any break-in. I'm happy, and Ace the horse is happy.
The boots look good, they stay on in the heel, and the footbed is very comfortable. These boots work for walking as well as riding. Maybe I could even dance in them (if I could dance at all...)

Ariat Heritage Roper review -
I ordered this boot for my son for Christmas. Not only was it an exceptional buy (and I adore Zappos for not charging shipping!) But it is also an exceptional quality, good-looking boot. I ordered a half-size larger than usual based on other reviews I read here before ordering. It was a great fit on my son and he said they were extremely comfortable to put right on and wear. He has bought Ariat boots before for himself, his wife and me, and we all love them. They do run a bit small and narrow. Incidentally, Customer Service and reliability on the part of Zappos are second to none!

This boot is a no-frills boot that fits true to size, is comfortable, and seems to wear well as a light duty motorcycle boot. I bought these for use as an everyday boot to replace simple dress shoes in a business casual environment, and for my commute on my motorcycle. The Ariat Heritage Roper, with a good coat of polish, fits my needs perfectly.

A stylish but simple casual boot. Looks good with jeans or slacks.
Comfortable for walking around town and in offices. The sole is a little thin for wearing in rough or rocky terrain, as you will feel stones etc., but it is not painful or distressing, just noticeable.

The boots themselves are great. I think it is my feet that do not agree with the boots. I got them in 10EE and the left boot was perfect, while the right was a bit tight in width. I tried a couple of different pairs of the same size and had the same problem. I figured that I would just try to break them in while wearing them. After about a day I realized that the right insole's arch was to far forward. I fixed this by putting in a pair of Dr. Scholl's memory foam inserts and now these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.

Ariat ropers -
Got these a year ago, replaced Justin ropers. I wear them all day everyday, riding, farm work, etc. They are very comfortable but don't breathe as well as the Justin's, feet get hot in summer. They don't have as much a western look as other boots, look more like motorcycle boots. And, they are made in China. That said, I like them and if they last as long as Justins (3-4 years), I'll probably get another pair.

I never got the boot on. It was so narrow in the throat of the boot that I believe I would have needed two or more sizes larger than my foot to get in it. Very attractive well made upper. The sole was a bit more space age in appearance than I was prepared for. Return process worked fine.

I have tried these boots on only once. They are very tight and feel a whole size smaller. I ordered them in size 9D, since no one seems to make a triple E size boot. I am still considering returning these boots, but quite frankly don't know what size to order now.

I ordered these Heritage Ropers (Black) as a boot to go with my pilot uniform. The fit, the look and the ergonomics of the outsole were all heavy considerations when I made the purchase. I was not disappointed. The break in time was very very short. The black leather takes a very nice shine when being polished and the rubber outsole is very important especially when walking on slippery ramps full of water, snow, ice or de-ice fluid also the rubber outdoor takes a nice grip to the rudder pedals unlike the leather out soles. This is a comfortable simple boot at a very affordable price. I would recommend this to my pilot buddies.

I have a pair that I bought 15+ years ago, and time, water, and dirt has taken its toll. So I bought a pair that I believe is the exact model. They are great of course, though there are a few spots that initially bug me, but once I wear them a few minutes, it's all good.

I bought these for work. I needed a boot that would be comfortable all day but also stand up to weather extremes, the general chaos of airports, and look good with dress slacks and a tie. These hit the mark! They do a great job of keeping my feet dry and are still comfy even after a 14 hour day.
I usually wear a 9.5, but with Ariat's I find a half size smaller fits better.

Very comfortable after ordering a half size smaller than my feet measure. I started with a half size larger which I usually wear for casual shoes than tried my actual size. With a half size larger and even with my true size, my heel was just too loose. I finally ordered a half size smaller, 9.5 D, and now have very comfortable boots with room in the forefoot and just a slight amount of room for the heel to lift. With a half size smaller than I measure, I get that 'pop' when my heel seats in the boot. And Zappos made re ordering and exchanging very easy.
