Something has changed here. I finally wore out my 3 year old Beer Cozy's. However I loved them so much that I wanted to replace them with an identical pair. I popped over to Zappos, found my size and color, and submitted the order. However when the sandals arrived, they are noticeable different. Though I ordered the same size, these new ones are a bit smaller. The strap is a bit tighter. And the footbed is not nearly as comfortable. When I compare the sandals I got to the picture here, I can see differences. Not sure if I got a dud pair, or if Sanuk changed the configuration. However these will be going back to Zappos.

This style rubbed a blister on the top of my right foot. I live at the beach and wear flip flops constantly. I purchase quality brands. This is the first time this has happened with any pair. I have had several pairs of Sanuks over the years and they have been outstanding. Hold up well, very comfortable, reasonably priced, great value. I purchased another pair at the same time as this one and they have been great with no issue. Just something about this pair didn't wear right for me. No problem exchanging though, Sanuk let me choose another pair, very easy to return, a seamless process.

I ordered a larger size replacement for a size 10 pair of Sanuk beer cozy sandals that I had purchased in 2012 and to my horror my new size 11 pair of sandals is 1/2" shorter in length than the old pair of size 10s. How is this even possible??? My wife has experienced the same strange 'shorter' new sandals with her recent Sanuk purchases. WTF Sanuk???? Now I need to exchange them- what a pain.

Quick review: These were my favorite sandals, but the quality of this product has diminished since I bought my first pair around 4 years ago and I'm not sure if I would buy them again. Also, buy them a size smaller because they run a little large. Long review: I first purchased a pair of Sanuk Beer Cozy sandals about 4 years ago. They were the most comfortable sandals I had ever owned and couldn't have imagined buying a different kind of sandal ever again. I lost that pair and replaced them. The new pair (purchased 2015) didn't have the same comfort level I had experienced with my previous pair and the thong part broke within a couple months on the right side. I figured it was too late to do an exchange and I fixed it by taking a nail and running the thong part through the bottom and Gorilla gluing it. Fast forward to now- Zappos sent me a coupon and I figured I better replace the ones I fixed in case my repair didn't hold up. The comfort level of the sole was even less than the pair before it. In the end I can't complain about getting my newest pair for practically nothing, but if I had spent full price on these, I would've returned them and looked for something else.

Surprised at all the great reviews on this. to me just average comfortability. Straps very narrow - wife said they looked like woman's flip flop. Also very wide near toes - looked a bit like clown shoes.

Was impressed at first fit well. Stretched out after a couple of uses bad enough that they slide off my feet now

Wish these were zero drop. Lack of zero drop will create pain. Some parts of surface are more cushiony than others.

Easy to clean. No annoying sounds. The left sandal was a bit uncomfortable, but it's getting better over time with use. The most disappointing part about the sandals--which were replacements--was that they were nowhere near as "cushiony" as my previous pair. The pair I turned in for warranty had much better foot bedding--yoga matting. I feel somewhat cheated...but still grateful that I was able to get a replacement pair (although different) even though I purchased them at a retail store in Boulder, CO.

The rigid, plastic straps do not have any give which makes them uncomfortable flip-flops with a poor fit. They are going back...

Really liked my old ones better. The new ones are not turned up in the front as the picture illustrates. My old ones are and I like that feature. Need to place new pictures in catalog & on website.

I'm a woman but generally prefer mens flip flops because they have wide bands that are way more comfortable than women's flip flops. Also, they're a little wide and usually have thicker soles for added comfort. Men don't mess around with uncomfortable shoes! I had high hopes for these flops during my pregnancy as I'd heard they were super comfy and had great support. Ordered my normal mens size, an 8, and they were too short and felt tight on my foot when mens flops are usually very loose. Giving these a second chance with the next size up...hoping they fit.

These sandals are adorable. However, my son has chunky feet and the thong part of the shoe was tight on his foot. It has stretched some as he has worn them and going up a size will make them way too big.

Don't be afraid to order this product a 1/2 or even a full size bigger. I will if I get another pair.

Love Sanuk. First pair of these broke at toe strap in a week. Customer service was wonderful and arranged return abd sent me a new pair very quickly. Second pair broke a toe strap too, luckily opposite foot so at least I have one complete pair. Don't wear often though, by far less than my 4 other pairs of sanuks, they seem to run a little tight, this is probably why they keep breaking on me. Although I have a size 13 shoe I don't have a wide foot so I dunno?

My wife says the base is made out of yoga mat material. I wear my sandals in the water a lot and according to my wife these will absorb water. Also, I felt the toe was not comfortable in the shoe and that there was a lot of material in the front but not enough in the back.

The comfort and style is fine until you get near water. Once wet, the spongy sole begins to create foam. Looks like you just went through a car wash. The front is a bit too flexible as I have rolled down the toe tripping as the toe hung up on something. The spongy sole also makes the ball of my feet feel like it was being pitched or rubbed on long walks. Looks great. Function is not as good as I hoped for the price. I have done better with a pair from Walmart.

No doubt you're buying this shoe for the comfort. But the concerns about getting wet are legit. If you want the Sanuk comfort in a style that's a little more suited for dealing with moisture, try the Digeridude which is actually a nicer looking style and still plenty comfortable.

The style and sizing were great, but ultimately painful. I slipped them on and walked around the house for a few hours and I loved them. At some point, I realized that the left shoe was not as fully on as the right, so I resituated to make it even with the right and that is when the trouble began. It was uncomfortable in the new spot, actually painful in my heel, but being brand new, I just kept wearing them, inside and outside, for a week, waiting for that left shoe to improve, but it did not. I gave them a rest for a few days, hoping they would reform to their original position, but they did not. They were stuck and giving them a week off has not helped. Now they are expensive paperweights. So, for better or for worse, they form to the shape of your foot quickly and they are like that for life, so get them on well!

As advertised, this is a very comfortable & cushy slipper. However, the material on the footbed felt mildly, almost imperceptibly, sticky. But with my OCD, it annoyed me enough to return them. (Perhaps I just have sweaty feet.) The stickiness would likely be mitigated once some dust or dirt accumulates. Weight: With the added cushion comes added weight. Although it is fairly light for its size, it was the heaviest of the bunch (see below). Styling: as you can see in the images, the heel part of the sole is very thick and rises higher than the forefoot. I prefer a thinner sole without a slope. I found the 'Camo' color option very appealing -- more so than the ho-hum black. Comparisons: I also tried the O'Neill Phluff Daddy 2, Reef Slim Smoothy, and Cobian Floater. My favorite (Phluff Daddy) is much lighter and much cheaper than this Sanuk Beer Cozy. You can find my full reviews on their respective pages.
