I bought these shoes in the Zappos.com exclusive black/gray color for my job and absolutely love them. Bought a 9, it felt true-to-size and they're VERY lightweight on my feet all day. I have a hard time finding dark shoes to wear with khakis that are vegan; for anyone wondering, they came with a tag that said only man-made materials were used(not sure about the other ultimate 81 versions). I've gotten a bunch of compliments already, so I'm gonna check out some other colors. They're a nice alternative to Chuck Taylors and Vans slip-ons for someone like me who won't buy leather.

Great looking, comfortable. I was a little worried that the snakeskin, gold and all would be too flashy, but it is really pretty tasteful. These are a nine, which is what I have always worn, and it might have been better to go up a half size, these are just on the right side of OK. Lightweight, look especially good with jeans. These are street shoes, obviously, not athletic shoes, but they do have that good old Tigers fit and feel to them.

Shoes have always been about function rather than form to me. I bought shoes when I needed a new pair and wore them down to the very end. I've never purchased a shoe based on looks. That changed when I saw the Onitsuka Tiger by Asics. I did happen to need a new pair but these looked so awesome I just had to buy them immediately. Turns out they are also super comfortable!One problem: the white mesh on the top gets dirty easily. One of my shoes has a grey scuff on the mesh already that I can't get out :(

I use these shoes for working out and get a ton of compliments on their color (I have the red ones) and retro look. They feel great, but their length seemed ever slightly longer than their listed size. They are comfortable to run in as well as wear with jeans. However, the rubber sole is very flat with minimal grip, so try not to wear these in situations where you may slip (rocky terrain or ice). Overall I am very satisfied with these Tigers!

The sneakers look very stylish and are extremely comfortable. I thought they would be too dark to notice any patterns on the sneakers but that was not the case. Even though it is full black you can still see the style, pattern on the sneakers and it looks very good. If you want subtle yet very stylish sneakers that are somewhat muted these are perfect.

Shoes are great and were shipped in a reasonable time.

really great shoes, light, comfortable. they look pretty cool too, and feel great walking, running, biking, whatever. i'd definitely buy these again if mine were to get lost or caught fire.

I wear a prescription orthotic and my low-profile, 'sport' pair fits very nicely in these shoes. The midsoles are made out of some really cool firm foam. It's cushy, but stiff and responsive for running or walking around, whatever. Normally I have to wear some beefy New Balance walking shoes at work since I stand all day and it hurts my back in most shoes, but these do great. The tread looks like benzene rings. They're a little tight to get out of (have to pull them off with my hands), but who cares? Sweet shoes.

Love them! This is my third pair of Onitsuka Tigers and I could not be more pleased with them. They are my every day, go to the grocery store, chase my kid around and still look stylish shoe! Plus they are very comfortable and offer great support over my flip flops and flats. I did, however, have to order a half size larger than my old Tigers. I should have trusted the reviews as many people said that the shoes ran about a half size small. It is a good thing Zappos has such a great return process. I returned the first pair to order a larger size with no hassle or questions asked and I always receive the shoes I order from Zappos in no time at all. Great shoes and a great place to order them from!

This shoe is great. I bought the Onitsuka Tiger blue/black pair. They fit great and I didn’t need to break them in at all. The material of the shoe doesn’t block out the wind very well, so socks are important in the winter. Avoid wearing them in wet conditions. These shoes look great, which is what I was hoping for when I bought them. One thing I want to point out is the color difference between the shoes themselves and the picture. For the blue/black pair, the blue is significantly darker than is represented in the picture. I myself was rather surprised at the color when I opened the box. Also, the silver stripes are not as shiny as they look in the picture, much to my pleasure. The blue/black pair is better looking than the picture illustrates. These shoes draw attention to the wearer, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on them. I recommend them to anyone looking for a cool, comfy, stylish shoe.

Great color combination, it gives a pop to the timeless blue jean and white T outfit. I nick named them the heart attack for its rich/deep red outer and blue sole which resemble veins leading to the heart!!!

I love these! They fit well. The only thing I would want is better arch support, but that’s what inserts are for.

This is the fourth pair of Onitsuka Tiger shoes I’ve purchased. They hold up very well for everyday casual wear. I’m a runner and I would totally not recommend these shoes for that purpose, but as far as a fashionable well made shoe for getting around on school campus or with jeans at the clubs, this shoe fits the bill. Another cool thing about these shoes is that every pair of Tigers I’ve purchased has come with an extra pair of shoelaces in a different, but complementing color. Almost always I end up switching the shoelaces out because the second pair of laces seems to look even better than the one displayed on Zappos (which aren’t bad). The color included with this pair is a grey-blue that looks really good on the shoe as well. I’ve noticed that after these shoes get kinda worn out, they make great summer shoes that you can wear with shorts and no socks and not look completely lame. They are not too clunky and have a lot of light mesh so they breathe really well. I usually wear flip flops at summer, but sometimes you might wanna skateboard or snag an impromptu pick-up game of hoops and these shoes give that option. Hope this review was helpful.

First time owning this shoe. And now I’m sold. It’s comfortable, and looks good. Not much in the way of arch support. And these shoes are lightweight, almost feels like you’re not wearing anything. Overall great piece of footwear.

I love these shoes! They are really comfortable and have just the right amount of arch support. Great for walking around town, work, etc. My feet tend to be a bit wide for a lot of brands, but the unisex fit of these shoes mean they’re perfect. Love the wide range of color selection, too. I would definitely recommend these to friends!

Shipping from Zappos remains as timely as ever and I got the Onitsuka Tigers a day and a half after I ordered them. The fit was perfect, even though I have pretty wide feet for my size and despite looking narrow, the shoe was never a problem width-wise. However, they took a while to break in and I got blisters for a while behind my heel. After a week, it never became a problem again. The shoes look great and I get people asking about them a lot, though that may be because I never string the same colored-laces on both shoes. Overall, I love the way these look and feel.

These Asics Ultimate 81’s have to be one of the most comfortable shoes around PERIOD. From someone who knows a little bit about the shoe game you can’t go wrong buying these. The shoes are made from a mesh like material which keeps them very light weight. They breathe and circulate air great, definitely a great shoe for summertime. The design is fresh and different from anything anybody else is wearing and for the price, you can’t wrong. Overall this is a great add to throw into your Jordan rotation to switch it up, casual shoe buyers will love ‘em, too.

Wow! These shoes fit like a glove and are so comfortable that I could forget to take them off. I was hesitant to try them as I have an extreme pronation, but they give enough support. They are also great for my Chi Gong classes.

I definitely dig these shoes! More comfortable than skate shoes and very light weight. I have wide feet and was happy with the width right out of the box. Normally wear size 10, feel like maybe I should have ordered 9.5, but was fixed by adding a Superfeet insole.

I love my Onitsuka Tigers. I was looking for a new pair of shoes and came across these. They were the right style for what I wanted, and got good reviews. After wearing them for about two months I can still highly recommend them. They look great, and fit very well. I can't wear them for walking long distances, but for my everyday job (which involves a lot of standing), they work out great.

Wanted to go for some "cooler" fun athletic and stylish shoes and the Onitsuka Tigers do not disappoint. I vary in size, but usually go for a 10 and I think the fit is great. The shoe itself is very comfortable and I have to disagree with the review saying it’s not really black. Most of the shoe has a plastic type feel to it with a certain shine, but the grey stripes are matte. Love the shoes and the comfort and look they provide.

My son uses these for fencing and absolutely loves them! His foot is slightly wide (but not wide enough for a larger width) and these fit him comfortably. We have been purchasing this shoe for him to fence in for 4 years from a size 9 to a size 13 and they have always been true to size.

These are super comfortable shoes. Maybe not the warmest in winter, but they definitely beat out my Chucks they replaced. Plus these are just cool shoes.

Before this purchase, I had already owned several pair of Onitsuka Tigers. One pair is nearly identical to this pair however a different color. Basically I knew the quality and comfort I was ordering, as well as working with the awesome customer service of Zappos removed any online purchasing doubt. PROs: Being raised in Louisiana I've always been a huge New Orleans Saints fan, and wanted a pair of shoes that had black/gold in them to flaunt my Who Dat pride. These shoes are perfect for game day. They match my Saints jerseys without question, and the compliments I've received on them are never ending. To top it off they're very comfortable and durable. I had a few reservations on the "snake skin" print before purchasing, however it's not as gaudy as appeared online or when worn with a pair of blue jeans. CONs: Only one negative I have is that they are not very warm shoes for the midwest weather. Any slight breeze seems to go right around your toes, so thick socks are a must in colder climates with these kicks.
