I am truly disappointed! I have owned several pairs of this shoe over the years because they have been so comfortable and the fit and quality have been excellent. I have a wider foot and a very high arch, so it's incredibly difficult for me to find shoes that fit well and are comfortable. Franco Sarto has changed the style of the shoe and the top of the shoe comes up VERY high onto the arch of the foot. I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe! Using a shoe horn, I finally managed to get my foot into it, and it felt as though the shoe was attacking my arch! Immediately, my foot started to cramp and I had to get the shoe off my foot as quickly as possible. Really, really sad. This shoe was a staple in my closet for YEARS! PLEASE bring back the old style!

The first 2 pair I purchased (black and red) lasted forever. I wore through the heel and leather. The second 2 pair (black and brown) both fell apart within a month of wearing them, in the exact same spot. The leather topper separated from the upper. Would not recommend purchase until they fix this issue.

I received a defective pair which I returned for an exchange. The defective pair, 6.5 M, fit perfectly. The replacement shoes,same style,marked as the same size,were so tight that I could not get them on. Very disappointed! I will not try a third pair. No more Franco Sarto for me.

The quality of this style of Franco Sarto is below my expectations. I have had no problems with the brand in the past. I purchased 2 of this same style. The sole came apart in less than 2 months of wear on one and the stitching that connects the top and side came loose with less than one month of wear.

Leather very hard and didn't mold to my foot. Have owned this shoe in the past in many colors and now the company has cheaped out on the quality of the leather.

Love the shoe but my narrow foot still slides forward in the 9N. Unless Franco Sarto offers a S (super narrow), I'll have to call these quits.

Shoe TORE in three wearings - I am very disappointed in these shoes. I wore them three times, and the leather tore. I wore thick socks the day or the tear, so I don't know if that was it. Argh. Now I am hoping Zappos will let me return or exchange them.

After reading all of the positive reviews, I'm quite disappointed at how uncomfortable this shoe turned out to be for me. I strongly recommend that you wear it at home on carpet for several hours before deciding to take it outdoors. I did not do that. It seemed to fit fine when I tried it at home. After a day at work, I had two blisters and it had rubbed a raw spot under my ankle. Shoe is quite stiff, and has a very hard sole, not cushioned as the description would lead you to believe.
