the toe box was very square and boxy, looked old fashioned and clunky

The top of this loafer comes farther towards the leg than I've ever seen on a loafer - very utilitarian and stern looking, not at all flattering.

Uncomfortable, narrow and too big for size 5.

Not comfortable at all. I’m a size 5 wide foot. Bought it in wide. Was hopeful based on the positive reviews. It slipped on my foot and the material was uncomfortable. Will be returning

Gave me horrible blisters & can’t walk the next day from zero support in them & they slipped off my feet all day! Way too big

I loved the look of these, they are just what I was looking for. But they are so stiff and rigid, I could barely get my feet in. There wasn't any give. I felt that if I tried to walk in them for longer than 5 minutes, I would develop blisters over my entire foot. Life is too short and shoes are too expensive to have to break them in. So back they go and my search continues....

I usually wear a 6.5 in everything except run shoes (I size up 1/2 size). However, I could not even get my foot halfway into this 6.5 shoe. Super narrow.

I have been buying this style shoe for the past 4 years to wear at work. I’ve been purchasing the same size every time. This last time, I was very disappointed in the fit. The shoe seemed smaller and more narrow than usual. Unfortunately, I was at work and had nothing else to change into. After 8 hours on my feet, I could hardly walk. I immediately contacted Zappos and they were fabulous!! I have since exchanged these for another style.

Ended up with more foot problems

I wear a 10 in pretty much everything. These didnt come anywhere near fitting. I thought they shipped the wrong side. They are cute but size was way off for me.

I wanted to like these, but my heel slipped out the back when I walked. Had to return them.

These were initially great. They were very comfortable and I could wear them all day. I’m a veterinarian and I’m on my feet all day, but 8 months later the top of the shoe has completely separated from the sole. They have probably been worn 10 times. I’m sad that they didn’t hold up.

I love these shoes, but I unfortunately couldn't even try them on because they are SO narrow. I ordered them I wide and still couldn't get my foot in :( sadly I am returning them.

Really nice shoe for the money, but it was way to narrow for my foot. I exchanged it for the wide shoe in the same size and it fits great. This is the only time in my life that I have ever required a wide shoe. I am usually medium and sometimes narrow.

I have wide feed and a high instep. I could not even get my foot through the opening, so I cannot comment on the size or width of the shoe. But the size of the opening did not work for me at all. Nice looking shoe though.

I order these for work was very disappointed when received. I order a 61/2 wide an was surprise When I could not get my foot in the shoe. I guess they are not really wide. I will be returning them.

I wear a 9.5 Wide and I can't even get my foot in the opening of this shoe it's so narrow. I'm not even going to try a half size up since I doubt that will make the opening much bigger.

Owwww! I wear a size 7 Wide, but these hurt trying to get them on. They definitely felt more like a 6 1/2 medium instead of a 7 Wide, because neither the length or width fit my foot.

I was disappointed cause I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe. I ordered a pair of Rockports by Cobb Hill that I liked but thought would be tighter cause they had little stretch and were more narrow looking but they fit wonderful and are very comfortable. Both pairs were 8.5. I ordered this shoe in a wide. I can't speak to the arch support as I couldn't get my foot in it to try it out. I had to send these shoes back.

I read the other reviews about the shoe being narrow but considered myself to have narrow feet. HA. These are extremely narrow. I have to return for the wide version. Also, ordered a 6 (I wear 6 normally) and it was at least an inch too big. Will try the 5 wide and see how that fits
