Sidewalk Shark - I walk 3-6 miles a day over tough urban terrain (broken sidewalks, vacant lots, marble, dirt) and I've tried and rejected a number of walking shoes. These are keepers. The fit adjusts well so I don't get blisters, and I can use my own insoles when needed for extra arch support. They look a little sharky, but they save my knees and feet.

My Mephistos - This is the second of two pair. The silver/white were about a half size too large. These I bought a half size smaller and they were just right. And by just right, I mean that I have back problems that affect my right leg. It keeps me from being able to stand for long periods. The first day I wore these beautiful shoes, I stood and made soup for hours without pain. They are so comfortable. They look great and are unusual enough that people ask who made them. Especially helpful is the back strap to adjust the fit of the heel. Very nice touch. I recommend them to anyone.

Touring China - I was looking for a good walking shoe for our tour to China. I have a mostly healed spiral fracture of my 5th metatarsal bone. So I wanted a shoe that supports like an orthopedic, but one that looks good with many different outfits. I am very happy on all counts!

Mephisto Niro Black Size 10.5 - Zappos treated me like a super star customer. The shoe arrived in record time with no shipping charges; customer service is 5 stars. Mephisto Niro is the only shoe I wear when I work (I am a hairstylist) and work out at the gym. They go everywhere. If I go for a walk I wear them and if you travel they can be a blessing since you can wear them as a sneaker with socks or with a skirt without saving you space in your suitcase. I hope they keep on making this shoe. Nancy

Sherry Licensed Massage Therapist - I have had knee problems for many years. My foot rolls to the side (supinates) and my knee cap does not glide evenly. Walking has been a thing of the past even though we lived a very active life style. I love these shoes; they fit right away and also seemed to correct my walking. I am able to go back to the treadmill and even hikes. I wear them all the time, with skirts, jeans and shorts. I have had a lot of compliments about them. Also I think that Zappos are the best, fast shipping and free returns makes it the place I will shop. I have told so many people about Zappos and even my clients who have foot or knee problems. Keep up the good work Zappos.

Nice Shoes! This is a great walking shoe, but does require a little breaking in. I like that the back is adjustable so you can wear it with different thicknesses of socks. Allrounder is a great name because it's a perfect all around type of shoe.

A good comfortable shoe, even if you have injuries - I have pain in my back, leg, and foot, so I took a long time picking out this shoe. I am glad I took the time, and the money was worth spending. The Allrounder turned out to be a great shoe; comfortable and cute. I did not feel like it was irritating any of my pain areas, and I take a couple mile walk in them several times weekly.

Soo Comfortable - My feet feel great in these shoes!

Love these shoes. I love the feminine look and the fit and feel are excellent. This is my first but certainly not my last Mephisto.

Walking Shoe - I have other Mephisto’s. This one is a bit stiff, but gives great support, is good looking, and can be worn for many occasions. I have walked good distances in it. Not to be confused with a hiking shoe or boot. Mephisto’s run a half size to a full size small, at least for my foot.

Not good for touring - Along with other Mephisto shoes, I bought these shoes for a walking tour of Europe. Unfortunately, I find that these shoes are not ideal for long walks. There is too much room between the top of the foot and the shoe and there is not enough velcro on the heel section. These gave me blisters. I ended up wearing my good old, white Nike sneakers which cost a third of what these cost. Sigh... oh well. At least they are cute and I'll use them for around town. BTW, I also bought expensive Mephisto sandals for this trip and, like the Allrounder’s; they did not work for me. They gave me blisters and made my feet ache! Thank goodness I threw my white sneakers in my suitcase at the last minute! BTW, while in Europe we visited 8 cities and I took note of what people were wearing. I did not see any Mephisto’s but I did see mostly Merrill sandals, Clarks sandals, and Puma sneakers.

Trendy shoes - I love this shoe but unfortunately, I found I had to wear socks. The strap across the foot scratches a bit with walking. Altogether very comfortable.

I've found the world's best shoe!! Not only is this shoe adorable, it's amazingly comfortable as well. There is an air pack in the heel so you can wear it all day (or all week) with no problems. The traction is second to none. I've gotten several compliments on them.

I love these shoes! I have poor feet. I have a large bunion on my right foot and a dorsal bunion on my left foot. These shoes have been very comfortable for me. So much so, I bought 3 pairs. They are adjustable so that you can make them snugger or less snug!

Great looking but runs big - This stylish walking shoe offers comfort and good looks. It is difficult to find my size (10-1/2), as many suppliers mysteriously jump from 10 to 11. I was most pleased to find this shoe in a 10-1/2, but it feels almost as large as an 11. Socks take up most of the extra room, so the size works out for me after all. Get it a half-size smaller unless you intend to wear it with socks.

All-arounder - Love the look, very comfortable and true to size. A bit of time needed to break them in, start with socks! They are a bit stiff and hot without socks. They do fit my orthotics without removing anything and love the two way adjustable straps!

I love this shoe! This is my second pair of Mephisto Allrounder. I wear them all year - very comfortable. I have a bunch of foot problems and shoe comfort is very important to me.

Comfortable from the first - I had been envious of kids' shoes with the Velcro closures so when Mephisto (almost all of my shoes are Mephisto) came up with the Allrounder, I had to try it. Instant comfort! They are also very stable, and it's impossible not to step squarely without rocking. I was worried about the dinky little strap that goes around the back of the shoe--it doesn't serve much purpose. But I've been wearing my Allrounders for several weeks now, and the strap has stayed put. I volunteer at the library, and this is the only shoe that stays comfortable for two hours pushing the cart up and down the aisles and filing books. Not even my other Mephistos did that.

Great "all around" shoe. This is my second pair of the Allrounder. I've worn my other (purple) pair so much that I thought I'd get another in my favorite shoe color---black. It's adjustable in two places, has little to no break in period, is true to size, and a good option for wearing instead of sneaker when you'd rather pass on socks.

A Tennis Shoe Alternative! Love this shoe! It has the comfort of a tennis shoe with the style of a Mary Jane. My feet have a tendency to get hot and sweaty in socks and shoes. I love the Allrounder because I can wear it without socks. I also bought it in the green/white combinations. One word of caution: I normally wear an 8 1/2. When that size came I had to ship it back for a smaller size. I ended up a whole size smaller...a 7 1/2 fits perfectly! Be sure to order a smaller size.

Comfort is the highlight - These shoes are incredibly supportive and comfortable. They look a little boxy on my 6.5 foot but comfort makes up for it. Toe box is wide.

The coolest look! Love the look, love the Velcro (wish it were the smooth kind, though), and love the adjustability. I had to reorder this in a half-size larger, because, although I love Peds, I think it's a good idea to have the option of wearing socks, including cushy ones. So these are kind of loose if I don't wear socks, but what I plan to do (I haven't worn them outside yet) is take up some room with a gel insole.

Love them- This is, I confess, my third pair of this shoe. I have them in black, red, and now brown. My sister recently bought them in the olive green color, and I was jealous. If they weren't so expensive, I would have a pair in every color. When I bought my first pair over a year ago, I was experiencing Achilles tendonitis- not anymore. They have a great fit, great support, and I love the way they look.

Great walking shoe! I love these shoes! I bought them for a backpacking trip through Northern Africa. I wanted something that will not make my feet too hot. They are light and super-comfortable to walk in. I feel like I could walk across the world in these shoes! I don't have any problems with the velcro as previous reviewers have mentioned. These shoes do run small. Normally I wear 9.5-10 and I got the 10, and they fit like a glove. So I'd recommend going up to the next whole size, if you wear a half size. I love that you can adjust the ankle strap on these shoes if you have narrow feet like I do. A great pair of shoes and well worth the price!
