Order down 1/2 size in the metallic colors - For some resaon the metallics run larger. I have an older pair of these in red. The silver metallics in the same size were at least 1/2 size larger. I returned then for another pair in the suede and they fit fine.

Doesn't deliver the hi-tech support its design promises - This is more of a comfort sneaker-type shoe although it looks like a hi-tech walking shoe. It's more of a comfy, sneaker kind of fit, not a modern, hi-tech supportive shoe for walking. I sometimes put my orthotic in if I need to do a lot of walking although I mainly put these on for all-purpose wear around the house, garden and for general errands. If you are looking for a good travel shoe to walk on cobblestones in Europe and thru museums, this will not deliver enough support despite the design and the Mephisto name. The material cleans up well, even if it gets muddy, but the look is a bit big and clunky, plus the arch support is quite soft.

Best shoe I've worn in a long time - These shoes are very comfortable, I've had my eye on this style for a while now and just couldn't resist the lower price than in the stores and the free shipping (to and from). The shoe ran a 1/2 size larger, had to return the first pair and the helpful operator had a new pair delivered within a few days! This has been a good experience and would purchase again from Zappos.

Unbelievable! I now own this style shoe in 5 different colors! After having had foot surgery (Morton's neuroma) in August, I searched for a comfortable shoe that would also accommodate an orthotic insole; this was it!! They're comfortable, stylish, and versatile. Couldn't do without them now.

My favorite shoe ever! The Mephisto All-Rounder is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, even better than the Sass oxfords. I especially like the Mephisto because they are stylish. I get many comments on them and wish I could afford a few more pair in different colors. A great shoe overall.

Very Comfortable Shoe! This shoe is very comfortable and I love the Velcro straps for easy on & off and also adjusting the fit. However, I have a narrow foot and this shoe is a little wide for me even when I adjust the straps as tight as possible. So, if your foot is medium width this is the shoe for you... but on the other hand if your foot is narrow you might want to think twice.

Allrounder by Mephisto - Great shoes -- super comfortable and very stylish! After having read the reviews, I was conflicted about what size to order and decided to go for my regular shoe size. Well--the shoes fit perfectly from the moment I put them on. Just one thing I was somewhat disappointed in is that there is not a lot of arch support for my flat feet. However, I have worn these shoes enough times by now and this issue has not caused a problem for me.

Rave review - I usually wear only Birkenstocks, but I have this style shoe in 3 colors, and they are the most comfortable, true shoes I have ever worn, even for days with LOTS of walking, such as during travel. I cannot recommend them more highly, and the adjustability of the arch and toe straps makes a custom fit very easy.

Wonderful, wonderful shoe - I ordered these in loden because my daughter had a pair in red, and I thought they were really nice looking. Little did I know how comfortable they were. As soon as I can afford to, I'll order another pair. Absolutely love them.

Fun and comfortable, even if you're stuck in an orthotic. I'm currently confined to an Arizona brace (a calf-high lace-up ankle orthotic). The only options at conventional orthopedic stores for a shoe to wear over it were depressing, dowdy, and made my feet look like atomic submarines. Then someone recommended these. Because of the velcro straps front and back, they adjust to the extra width of the brace on my bad foot, while being perfectly comfortable on the good. Unlike the other shoes I tried there was no need to buy different sizes for each foot to accommodate the brace. And I only needed to go up one size from my regular one (I wear an extra inner sole in my 'good' foot to take up the slack). They don't look huge, even in the bigger size. I work on my feet, and find I can stand and walk without fatigue all day. I am happy that I'm not confined to shapeless old-lady orthopedics, and even -- in spite of my hideous ankle contraption -- get several compliments on the shoes every day! They are nimble, graceful and lightweight. I've been wearing them everyday for a month now. I'll probably keep wearing them after I'm out of the brace, too. Even though I've never before liked to wear sneakers outside of the gym. Definitely getting another pair -- or two. Just can't decide on which color next.

Great, comfortable walking shoe - Went to Europe last week and wanted to find a comfortable walking shoe - THIS WAS IT!!! I wore them everywhere and it made touring Europe an absolute delight. These shoes let your feet breath - I wore small socks for extra support. A great, comfortable walking & hiking shoe!!

Wearing this shoe is like wearing a sock, from the first time out of the box. Very comfortable and light, the adjusting straps make it a perfect fit. I walk a lot during work and this is perfect! I'd love to get it in more colors. Also accommodates your own shoe inserts such as orthotics. I had to go a half size down, even with a sock.

Allrounder by Mephisto's Niro - The shoes are very comfortable. I like the roomy width at the toes. I had no problem breaking them in. The Velcro closure allows for more arch support. I have worn them all day with no problem.

Very cute shoes, extremely comfy from the first time wearing them. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 but had to go down to a 7 in this. I will definitely buy more in different colors!

These are comfortable and handy shoes, and for an athletic type of shoe they look quite nice. They are very well made, like other Mephisto products, and they fit comfortably. You can wear them with socks or without (without--I use a thin, washable insert, so that they don't get dirty). I like mine immensely.

Mephisto’s Allrounder - I ordered the Allrounder to wear during my trip to Italy. I have several pairs of Mephisto's and have always been pleased with this brand of shoe. I heard about Zappos from a friend. She told me how easy it was to order and return if needed. I wasn't sure about the size so I ordered two different sizes. My friend was correct on how easy it was to order and return to Zappos. I will definitely go this route again. I don't usually order on-line but this was a great experience. Oh, the shoes are comfortable and will be good for all day walking and hiking! Thanks Zappos!

Mephisto Niro Allrounder - It's the perfect shoe. The removable inner sole allows me to insert my own orthotic. It looks good at the opera as well as at the supermarket.

Mama Likes! As a confirmed Mephisto addict, I bought these for my elderly mother who has knee problems. She opened the box up, put them on and hasn't taken them off since except to admire how cute they are! She says they're the most comfortable shoes she has and has received many compliments on them. She has a narrow heel, but was able to adjust them successfully.

Great little shoe - This shoe is very cute and is comfortable right out of the box with no break in period. I have several pairs in various colors and all have the same comfortable feel. They are easy to walk in and stand in all day, though for long standing, the arch support is not quite enough.

Sidewalk Shark - I walk 3-6 miles a day over tough urban terrain (broken sidewalks, vacant lots, marble, dirt) and I've tried and rejected a number of walking shoes. These are keepers. The fit adjusts well so I don't get blisters, and I can use my own insoles when needed for extra arch support. They look a little sharky, but they save my knees and feet.

My Mephistos - This is the second of two pair. The silver/white were about a half size too large. These I bought a half size smaller and they were just right. And by just right, I mean that I have back problems that affect my right leg. It keeps me from being able to stand for long periods. The first day I wore these beautiful shoes, I stood and made soup for hours without pain. They are so comfortable. They look great and are unusual enough that people ask who made them. Especially helpful is the back strap to adjust the fit of the heel. Very nice touch. I recommend them to anyone.

Touring China - I was looking for a good walking shoe for our tour to China. I have a mostly healed spiral fracture of my 5th metatarsal bone. So I wanted a shoe that supports like an orthopedic, but one that looks good with many different outfits. I am very happy on all counts!

Mephisto Niro Black Size 10.5 - Zappos treated me like a super star customer. The shoe arrived in record time with no shipping charges; customer service is 5 stars. Mephisto Niro is the only shoe I wear when I work (I am a hairstylist) and work out at the gym. They go everywhere. If I go for a walk I wear them and if you travel they can be a blessing since you can wear them as a sneaker with socks or with a skirt without saving you space in your suitcase. Sherry Licensed Massage Therapist - I have had knee problems for many years. My foot rolls to the side (supinates) and my knee cap does not glide evenly. Walking has been a thing of the past even though we lived a very active life style. I love these shoes; they fit right away and also seemed to correct my walking. I am able to go back to the treadmill and even hikes. I wear them all the time, with skirts, jeans and shorts. I have had a lot of compliments about them.
