A bit disappointed in color, they are not black, more of a dark blue. Material feels cheap, but they are good looking, I guess that’s why I purchased them.

The colors on the shoe is bright and makes it pop. Really like these shoes

I am a huge fan of the old Skool vans however the picture show the shoes to be a deep purple. When I received the shows I was disappointed to see that the color was more burgundy then purple.

I ordered the Gumsole Sky Captain/Bootlace style Vans. These appeared black on the photo displayed, but when arrived are Navy (a very dark blue). I will be returning for pure black vans in a similar style.

Bought the Black Mono (full leather) style. Same great fit and comfort of the Old Skool with a slightly dressy look. Out of the box, these shoes squeaked like crazy. After a couple days of wear, they started to quiet down but still squeak a bit. After slight wear, they develop an ugly white line of glue where the upper meets the sole. I darkened it up with a sharpie but probably will have to do it again later. Recommend sticking with the canvas models, they are much less trouble.

The style is super cute and fit true to size based on the sizing chart, but a warning to those who buy these, they look like a deep, vibrant purple in the photo, which is what I wanted and expected, but they are actually a dull maroon color in reality. I was disappointed because maroon was not what I was looking for, and sadly Vans doesn't even have that great, brilliant purple as an option for any of their shoes right now (which they should!). I decided to keep them anyway, though they were not the color that was advertised or that I wanted because I think I can still make them work.

Get sole inserts! Love the different textures of the snow/marshmallow white shoes. But yeah, these fit poorly. Length wise, they are a true 7. But they are so wide and tall, if that makes sense- that I have to pull the laces in all the way. This makes both sides of the shoe nearly touch. They kinda look like clown shoes from directly above bc the toe box is so big and round. And it’s not the most esthetically appealing from that angle. Luckily the rest of the world sees a much cuter view. Anyway, to remedy the fit I used a thin sole insert from Dr. S above the existing sole. It filled in the shoe, AND provided much needed arch support bc there is ZERO. After all that being said, I kept them. And they are really cute with pretty much everything. Also, I would say that the marshmallow color is like an off white. A really nice alternative to stark white shoes. The textures on them is everything. Hope this helps ya

These are super cute shoes. However, the sparkles on the tongue of the shoe makes it very stiff and it rubs on the front of my ankle. It is not flexible enough to move with you. Not sure if it will soften and become better over time.

The soles are stiff and cause blisters on the back of my daughters heel. She really wanted to love these shoes, I wanted her too love them too (for the price). But they just sit in her closet unworn because they hurt her feet so badly.

The tongue goes up very high and rubs on the front of your ankle. With the inflexible fabric because of the glitter - this is more of an issue than it should be.

It was good but dye was every where

I ordered the (Rib Knit) Gray/True White and wanted to love them but they just weren't as feminine as I hoped (duh, I suppose, since they are mens shoes). I preferred a Superga brand fit for casual shoe that is a lot more feminine.

They look fantastic, but the stitching by the toe box was a bit too tight. So that made the shoe a bit uncomfortable for me. Sadly I’m sending back.

I will have to update this after I wear them around but right now I am working on breaking them in. They were extremely stiff out of the box and dug around my ankles making them feel sore. I have large socks currently in them to stretch the leather. Hopefully once they are all broken in I will find them comfortable as they are cute sneakers. They are also larger than typical size 6 sneakers on me.

The size was a 10 in men’s and it is a size smaller than all of my other vans that are 10s . Also the laces are different sizes

I've been wearing Vans since I was in elementary school, but it had been a while since I've bought a pair. These shoes look great, but the material on the underside of the toe cap is rough textured and rubs on your toes. If you plan on skating or walking more than an hour in them, you may end up with blisters on the top of your toes .. at least that's what happened to me. For skate shoes, I think Globe and Etnies are much more comfortable and durable, but if you want to Vans aesthetic, there's only one place to get it. I'll continue to buy Vans, but probably not on line without trying them on 1st.

Surprise! From the main photo you cant see that half of the shoe is YELLOW. And the other color is more green-like. the tongue is all red. We did not look at the other small photos and the main photo is misleading and appears it is a grey. Look at other pictures. they are still sort of cute, but not at all what we expected. the way Zappos takes these main pictures showing the outside of both shoes can be misleading-lesson learned-look through ll the pictures.

Unisex sizing meant these didn’t quite fit female foot. A touch off pretty much everywhere but especially width, on my normal-to-slightly-narrow feet.

These shoes are very cute, and since they're meant for skateboarding, very stiff. Unfortunately, they are also incredibly wide. I was hoping that the padded collar and extra lace holes would help, but no. The length was fine so I couldn't size down. My daughter had a pair of these in high school; she has a narrow foot and a narrow heel, and they fit her very well. So either Vans' sizing is inconsistent, or they have changed their shoes in the ensuing five years or so since I last purchased this shoe.

I really wanted to like these because they are such classic, great-looking shoes. I ordered the all white leather version in a size 8. I think they fit size-wise, but I found them super uncomfortable around my ankle. Almost like the sides of the shoe were too tall or something because they really dug into my ankle. I will be returning them. *sad trombones*

I usually wear a 10 in women when I put them on the hurt my feet but as I started to walk around I started to break them in I would still recommend getting a half size larger they are hard af like they don’t bend when u walk lmaooo

Zappos customer service said I should order half size smaller because shoes are unisex and I am female. I should have ordered my true size as they are pretty tight on me. I kept them because I needed them for a trip. Otherwise I would have exchanged them for a larger size. They are cute, however.

Oh how I wanted these to work! They are so cute and would go with so much! But unfortunately they were so stiff that it hurt my foot when the toes bent with walking. Also the around the ankle was very stiff too and dug in at the front of my ankles. So sad they didn't work.

Shoes run very large. Cute though.

I used to live in Vans; I've had as many as five pair at a time. I don't know if it's just my aging feet or whether they've redesigned the toe box, but I cannot wear them anymore. I liked this shoe in pig suede and thought I would try them a half size larger, but they nevertheless hurt without even being laced up. Makes me sad, as a long history comes to an end for me.
