COMFORT, WHERE ART THOU?
It's so difficult to find comfort. K-Swiss made their Classic in canvas and it could be put on and worn in comfort. Don't you know they went to leather and it's a totally different comfort level. Your shoe sole looked like it might be good but it's a little too flexible and I can feel the movement of the sole, not comfortable.

I have worn Vans for years, but these were terrible. The body of the shoe is leather, but the tongue is a wrinkled and irritating canvas. Every time I wore them I had blisters on my heels. They have gone to the thrift shop.

The stiff fossil fuel materials used in these shoes are rigid and uncomfortable - where are the leather shoes these days?

I have owned multiple pairs of Vans over the years. I am typically a Converse type of person but had made the switch to Vans since they have more padding. My first pair of custom Vans are comfortable. I ordered another pair of leather Vans recently and they are super uncomfortable and scratchy not your typical Vans quality. Unfortunately I was advised that because they are customs I will not be refunded even though its a comfort/quality thing. Switching back to Converse since they have more custom options for your shoe and now offer extra padding, plus you can return even if custom.

I loved the way these shoes looked, but one of them started squeaking the day after I got them. After a while, the sole separated near the toe. The other pair looked good as well, but the toe by where the laces start buckled after only wearing them a couple of times. I've had vans on and off since the 70s, but these last 2 pairs have been a bust.

Shoes fit very narrow and tight in the toe box. The description says leather uppers, that is not accurate. These shoes are synthetic leather.

This was my 1st pair of Van's and they were super comfy and looked really cool but, then the soles started to come unglued. I've only had them 3 weeks! Pretty sure this will be my last pair and I'm going back to Chuck Taylor's. Sorry Vans.

I love Zappos and have always had good experiences with them, this experience included. I got my shipping upgraded so my sneakers were at my door before I knew it and the VANS looked great and fit great. Here's the problem. I always go by customer reviews because they're always going to tell the truth...I read a lot of reviews if I'm unsure about a product. On my right foot the sneaker fit fine. On the left side, I got non stop BLISTERS! Now, I gave them a week because you know sometimes you have to wear them for a little while to break them in, but I still have MAJOR BLISTERS on my left foot! Unfortunately I had to return them and get a refund. I'm disappointed because they look and feel great but the blisters were killing my foot. And I don't like Converse, they give no arch support...so for now I'll stick to my old sneakers until I figure out another brand to buy...bummer I really liked my Vans...buyer beware this was my experience!

It's been quite a few years since I bought a pair of Checkerboard Vans, and I was worried that the quality would have gone down like so many other brands these days. When they arrived, I was happy to see they were the same great Vans I remembered.
Fun Fact: Since the checkboard part is canvas, you can color the white squares whatever colors you want with Sharpies!

As an east coast kid lucky enough to get ahead of trends by spending summers in Va Beach Va, I got my 1st pair of black and grey authentic's and brought them home to debut at my school that fall only to be joked on about my "funky shoes" I held my ground and for my 60th birthday, purchased the Halloween shoe just in time for Halloween. Rocking them around town, 4-5 different colors, all old skools, on the Harley and stepping out of my ford lightning or 55 pink and white Crown Vic.. yea, vans are the coolest, always have been, always will be!! I started wearing Vans in the 90s and have always loved them. The style, the comfort, the quality, always the best. Now I get to share that with my son, and he's already a fan as well! Nothing beats the classic checker pattern.
