These are great looking shoes. Very stylish and I get compliments often. I am very happy I found them and decided to buy them. Be aware they do feel larger. I am size 11 on all shoes and this one does fill larger. I kept them and decided to use with insoles so no biggie. These shoes are super soft partly because they dont have much of a sole but for that same reason they are not good for running or long walks. More of a fashion shoe in my opinion, but that's what I wanted.

I had been seeking a super lightweight and thin, but not narrow, shoe because I dislike the feel and style of bulkier shoes when I go to the gym. These feel great and look great. If you need arch support though, don't get this shoe because it's fairly flat along the sole and doesn't offer much support. If you want something flexible and stylish, this is it.

Bought both those in white and in black. Very light and comfortable shoes.
But warning!!! Do not wear them when it's wet outside. They get extremely slippery.

Have enjoyed buying these Onitsuka Tai Chi for the past couple of years. Shoes are very light-weight, super comfortable and have an eye-catching design that matches my everyday casual/sporty look. Do not be fooled by the thin shoe sole, it lasts me over a year with an everyday use. Can't go wrong with these white shoes, white shoes match with everything. The shoe feels true to size and width. I recommend buying these shoes, especially from Zappos. Zappos has excellent customer service, fast shipping both ways and the return policy is great! Thanks Zappos!

I have literally been looking for this shoe for 2-3 years. Usually either not in stock or not in my size. Then it popped into my inbox that not only did Zappos.com have it in stock, in my size, but it was on sale! Great product, great service, happy customer!

Best shoes ever. This is the model Uma Thurman wore in Kill Bill. I just ordered a new pair. It's a classic!

This was my first venture into this type of shoe. It takes a bit to get used to the 'soft' sided support of the shoe vs. a typical cross trainer shoe...but I enjoy the light weight, style, and comfort. They are great for doing tai chi, which is exactly why I bought them.

This shoe is basically the sneaker version of a Sperry authentic top-sider: comfortable, stylish, flat (no arch support) and minimalist (essentially 0mm heel-to-toe drop). I love it. I also love the similar Tiger Mexico 66 shoe.

These shoes are super comfy. Probably not the best for doing tai chi, due to too much traction. However, if you're looking for a super comfy leather sneaker, it's excellent. They do seem to run a little bit larger. I usually wear and 8.5 and had to send back for an 8 in these.

I hope they never stop making these shoes because they are fantastic. I am a barefoot/minimalist runner and was looking some light, flexible shoes to wear during my last few weeks of marathon training. I don't think I ever had to break these shoes in. I just put them on and started running. They look and feel great. And lots of folks comment on them when I wear them to work or around town with shorts or jeans, so I guess they're pretty stylish too. So far, they seem to be holding up well. Just showing some wear on the white leather where I've scuffed them up a bit -- but that just adds character, right? I was worried that the leather uppers would make my feet feel hot, but that hasn't been the case at all. The leather is very thin and seems to breathe well. Expect some crinkles in the leather up front as they soften up. I usually wear a 10.5 -- but the toe seems to be a bit long in these. I'll probably order a size 10 next time. No big deal. I have put about 65 miles on these so far (including one 20-miler) -- and I plan to wear them for my marathon next week. Already looking forward to my next pair.

This is the fifth pair of Asics Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi I've bought in the past five years. I hardly take them off, like walking on clouds. Made famous by The Bride in Kill Bill, Bruce Lee used to practice with these same shoes.

Love these shoes, but even with Armor All they still scuff very easily, especially if you crossfit in them. Your calves will hurt as you try to get used to the shoe, but I honestly love wearing them around.

Just what I was looking for: extremely thin soles with no correction or arch support. Instead of wearing my FiveFingers when it is 10 degrees outside, I put on a pair of Injinji toe socks and these Tigers and can run with proper form and no injury to my hips or knees. Despite the fact that the soles are VERY THIN, I am super impressed with the construction quality. Fit is unique to the brand apparently. Zappos let me have a couple of sizes to see which size worked best for me. If I wear thick merino socks the shoe is needs to be larger. With the Injinjis smaller size works better. The lacing allows for a lot of flexibility and the leather seasons nicely. If you are in between sizes, I would suggest going for the smaller for a more snug fit. If you are looking for the closest thing possible to a barefoot shoe, this Tai Chi Tiger is an excellent option.

These are great for running in the barefoot style (landing on ball of foot), in a more urban setting; you still get a bit of protection against pebbles, glass etc. I used to run in adizeros, but the tai chi's are a completely different experience and really work the spring in the arch of the foot like running barefoot.

Almost 2 years old...very, very durable shoes.
I ordered these shoes just about 2 years ago. They are a mocha and brown color. Just to follow up I still wear them and they are great.
I wore these bad boys to the Dominican for a summer trip last year and abused the snot out of them. I wore them after getting out of the pool, along the beach and even to a concert. Initially I was worried about the leather shrinking or becoming damaged but that never happened.
I have also run a few times in these but that was extremely uncomfortable...but they aren't meant for running.
The heel is a slightly darker color now from wear and the toe area shows creases but the rest of the shoe is fine.
I love Zappos and I have been checking back periodically for new Tai Chi colors but white is all that is available. :(

I bought them in October, it is now April, and I wear them nearly every day regardless of the weather - there isn't much sign of wear in these yet! Just a little scuffing of the leather near the toe and heel, and the imprint of my foot in the insole. The rubber part of the sole is in great shape, which is shocking considering how thin these shoes are, especially the sole. These shoes were designed for tai chi, so keep that in mind if you are planning on getting a shoe for going out and running errands/a daily shoe. It will probably take a while for your foot to get used to the lack of support or cushioning, but I feel that once you get used to it it's a pretty nice shoe. Not too great for walking in wooded trails or in the freezing cold (your feet will freeze!) - but for daily activities, these shoes last! A word of caution though if you live in an area that gets snow - these shoes have absolutely no traction whatsoever on ice. At all. Overall I would totally recommend this shoe to anyone who wants a fashionable, super duper lightweight shoe to walk around in who does not mind having no cushioning for the foot. This shoe is very very well made.

Great shoe -
Great everyday shoes...conform to your foot. I use them for dry land workouts and also when riding my bike. I would buy them again.

The value of Thin Soles and Light Shoes -
The ability to feel the ground while still being protected from impinging objects is very much a Big Deal as we become more aware of how less is more for footwear. We've so long over supported our feet rather than letting all that evolution work for us, this is a shoe that lets the feet do their job. How do you know a shoe works for your foot? Two things: can you twist it from toe to heel? Can you bend it behind where the ball of the foot goes? In this shoe, you can. These are men's cut shoes, so gals may find them a little wide, but that, too, can be an advantage in terms of enabling free foot movement rather than binding the foot into the shoe with tight lacing. The thing that makes me a little nervous is that it looks like this model is Going Away - Zappos hasn't had new shipments/models in awhile, so get 'em while you can.

Most comfortable martial arts shoe I have ever worn -
I used to wear Tiger shoes when I did a lot of running, 10K races, etc. In the past two years, I took up martial arts including tai chi and karate. Recently a local medical doctor criticized me because I was not wearing shoes during my training. I remarked that the shoes I had for karate were uncomfortable, so I stopped wearing shoes.
My tai chi coach recommended I try the Onitsuka Tiger Asics Tai Chi shoes. I did, and I found them to be comfortable. I am pleased with the purchase, and I would highly recommend them.

Just what I was looking for -
I needed a new pair of tennis shoes to wear to the gym that I recently joined. So I use them while running, lifting weights, and sometimes pilates. I just wanted something simple, low profile, and lightweight that wouldn’t take up too much space in my bag. These are just what I was looking for.

My new favorite pair of shoes!
I've purchased at least five pairs of shoes from Zappos online and these are my favorite so far! They are light, comfortable, and stylish - a great wear for a casual night out. However, you might need to buy some insoles, depending on your preference. I've added insoles simply because I have minor back pains. These are my first pair of Onitsuka Tiger and am now a big fan.
