These boots are gorgeous, but unfortunately hurt my feet A LOT and I gave them plenty of time to form to my foot (a year). They were still very painful and heavy to wear for me, but gorgeous of course. I have muscular calves and am considered to be a healthy weight for my height, and these were almost too tight on my calves with socks & leggings.

Horrible ridge right under my heel, that still is pronounced even under a gel insole. Been wearing them for a year to break them in and they are so painful to wear still. I can only wear them for short periods of time before my feel kill me. So bummed I didn’t return these before the year mark passed. Cute but so painful to wear. I’m over it.

the boot is solid , I couldn't stand them at first as my toes / toe box was jammed, but....but I put a sandwich sized ziplock bag filled 1/4 full, with air let out, put the boots in the freezer, and voila, the toe box stretched, a bit more than I wanted on the left (smaller foot) but good as the boots are pricey, it fully worked...

These boots are great. The leather is soft and supple. The quality is typical Frye high quality. Love them.

Classic for a reason! Gorgeous boot that is a very wearable wardrobe staple. Great with skinny pants and dresses. The leather gets better with age and patinas beautifully. I am a size 8 and they fit true to size. I’ll have these forever.

They felt stuff and super loose in my size, even with super thick socks. I love the brand and style but I don’t wear them.

Well, this is about the 6th pair of Frye boots I've tried to love. I've sent all of them back. I guess me and Frye just don't go together, because they are incredibly hard in the foot. These were so awkward to walk in, I felt like I had large rain boots on and could barely stride and the ankles were very bulky and odd feeling. They were uncomfortable and toe squishing on my feet for the short amount of time I tried to walk on my carpet with them. Two minutes later they were back in the box taped to go home to Zappos. Bummer.

I feel like these are the perfect boots! I ordered dark brown. The one issue I had was with my original order, the left and right boots were wildly different colors. The left one was a smooth, consistent brown, and the right was more textured and much darker. I understand that there are variations in leather, but the two boots were night and day. I ordered a second pair, and they were much more closely aligned, color-wise.

I have Frye's Campus Boot 14L in Banana and in Brown and have just bought the same style in Black. For me, my regular size 8.5 is perfect in this style Frye boot (some other styles vary in my case, but not the Campus Boot). I wear mine with tights or thin socks -- if I were to wear heavy socks, I would size up to a 9 (but that size would be too roomy for anything but heavy socks). It seems to me that the Campus Boot in Black is slightly lighter weight than in Banana and Brown, which means I'm able to achieve a slight slouch at the bottom of the shaft (fine with me!). The Campus Boot is a timeless style; I've been wearing it since the 1970's (the big winner in college back then was this boot in Banana). For me, the heel height is perfect and, oddly enough, I like the toe, even thought I don't usually care for square-toed footwear. Anyone who is buying a first pair of higher-quality, go-with-anything, basic boots should check out this style.

For all of the reviewers who wrote in about the calf width issues and those of you who are already disappointed thinking these won't fit ... I ordered the Blazer Brown boots and sure enough, I had to with a VERY heavy heart send those back to Zappos bc they were indeed too tight on my calves (which are not huge by any stretch of the imagination) and the leather was hard and unforgiving. BUT .... bc I have drooled over these boots for a year now, I decided to order the brown ones. These are more of a brushed/distressed leather and one boot fit fine, but the other one was tight on my calf, which made the boot buckle and that hurt my ankle. But I wanted to keep these boots bc they are SO lovely and SO comfortable in the footbed, which is hard to find. So I took my handy dandy blow dryer and heated up the leather around the top of the calf and pulled them on. This stretched the leather enough on the tighter boot that these boots now fit me like a glove and like Frye made them JUST for me. Do I think this would have worked on the harder leather? Nope. But on the softer leather, it worked like a charm. So don't give up hope!

These boots are great! I love the look! You can dress them up or dress them down! I have wanted a pair for 6 years now and finally gave in and got these! I don't regret it!

Beautiful boot. Leather was lovely. Only problem was the boot was tight on my calf, so i had to send them back. Disappointing because i otherwise really loved them.

I loved these boots, the foot bed was comfortable and was true to side and width, the only problem was the narrowness of the boot shaft. It was quite narrow at the top and alas I am returning. I wore them around my bedroom and couldn't believe that the boot shaft was the only thing that was keeping me from loving these boot totally. Unfortunately, at this price I cannot put up with a thick leather boot shaft rubbing a hole in my upper calf no matter how great the look and fit of the foot bed. It was so odd as I do not have fat legs by any stretch of the imagination. If you have super skinny calves I would say go for it but if you have any meat or muscle on your calves, keep looking.

These run larger than a true 8.5 as far as the part of the boot the foot fits into. I'm okay with the extra room in case I want to wear thicker socks. Also, I'm athletic rather than a stick figure so the smaller size may have been tight on the calf. These are perfect there. The boots were really easy to slip in and out of immediately; I have high arches so was worried about this. The leather is perfection. There was a small flaw in the leather stack on the heel but not worth sending back. I cannot wait until these "lifetime" boots get broken in and worn looking.

I was dissapointed with these. I have the button riding boot and they are a little too small, but very well padded. These are pretty hard on the bottom and the toe is very boxy, similar to a construction boot. Didn't look good on my size 11 feet unfortunately.

These boots are stunning but they do not fit. I'm someone that has a wide calf and could not get them on. Also, I ordered a size 7 and my toe was to the end without a boot sock. I'm usually a 6/12 to 7 so these felt very tight. There is no arch support. If you have a wide foot too, avoid. I really wish they could fit as they are impeccably made and the color is gorgeous.

These boots are amazing!! Have worn them for a week straight, never hurt my feet but keep them warm and comfy!! Highly reccommend this as a nice long lasting pair of boots:)

I expected something slick that didn't fall off my calf and look clucky and droopy. Really disappointed, given all the positive reviews.

I wanted to love these boots. They are so cute, but they are way too narrow in the toe box area and too big in the heel area. My foot slips out every time I walk. The toes have no room to move so I must sent them back... I have 2 pairs of short Frye's and love them so I am so disappointed I have to return them.

These boots are must have! Perfect in every way; style, luxurious leather & fit.

The boots were gorgeous and I wish they worked, but for my muscular calves at 15.5” circumference, I could not get these boots in a size 8 over them.
