Had these shoes since 2009, wore them off and on for a couple years then daily since Fall 2012. Just wore out the soles. Last pair was comfortable with or without socks for long walks or just around the office. I forgot that these take some breaking in initially but my new pair reminded me on day one. After wearing double socks for two weeks, I can now go barefoot without any problems. Still a month away from where my old ones were but still love these shoes.

Great deck shoes at a good price. They need a little breaking in (out of the box they are a bit stiff and shiny but still comfortable).

I have several pairs of these shoes in a couple of colors. I have been wearing them for years. They are without the best casual shoe I have ever owned. I wear them to work on casual days and the older pairs I wear to work around the house and to the beach. The comfort and fit, for me, is exceptional. Hands down, the best I have ever owned. The style is exactly what I want and the feel is great. Pay more or pay less, this shoe cannot be beat.

Got these for my boyfriend for Christmas. He has a large shoe size so it is hard to find stylish shoes to fit. He also has a tendency to wear-out shoes quickily. He swears by Dockers because they are stylish, but unlike Sperry's they keep their shape and sole longer, and they are as comfortable as a sneaker. Straight-forward great shoe!

This is my husband's second pair of these shoes. He's satisfied with fit, etc. They did squeak quite a bit though, but I believe he oiled them to resolve that issue.

The quality of shoes appeared to be good. The medium width was way too narrow. Returned and ordered Sperry Top-siders.

I've bought these for years and they are very comfortable. I bought them locally (Tulsa) but the store quit carrying them in a wide size. Enter Zappos! The right price and free shipping. Plus, if I'm not happy with the shoes in the first year, I can return them (free shipping again) for replacement or credit. You can't go wrong! Zappos.

My new shoes are very comfortable and look good for both casual and dressy. I have had friends comment about how nice they looked and where did I get them. I told them to order from Zappos.com, but not to get the same ones as I have...lol.

Comfortable shoes, squeaky (but easily fixable with some baby powder). Overall great shoes. I will update this review at the end of the summer when I see how they hold up.

For the price, this is a good deal.

I bought these for my dad. He likes them, although they're a bit stiff now - they'll break in eventually. The leather, color and workmanship are great. Arch support could be a bit better.

These are exactly what I was looking for. They were delivered faster than I was expecting! The shoes look great. The leather is a bit stiff but fine after it has been broken in a bit. Zappos is the way to shop for shoes!

Squeaky until broken in; high back & firm construction required me to build up calluses on my Achilles line above my heels in order to make these shoes wearable; once broken in I believe these shoes will be comfortable, durable and a good value for the money (half the price of comparable Sperry's, etc.).

The shoe has an annoying problem: on left shoe, where the leather heel piece joins the leather side, on the inside the joint is uneven, causing discomfort with every step. Otherwise a decent shoe, good value

I needed boat shoes and could not find them locally. Zappos had many brands. I chose the Dockers Castaway because they were less expensive. I was very happy I could order in a 1/2-size and and in "wide." When they arrived they were a perfect fit and good quality. They had a great non-skid sole for the boat deck. All good.

The shoe is comfortable and good looking. Priced nicely too. More expensive brands do not offer the styling Dockers Castaways do. Goes great with jeans or khakis and sweater or dress shirt. Works great for casual day at work too.

For this price these are surprisingly comfortable shoes right out of the box! I have flat wide feet with likely some fasciitis and cannot wear arched insoles. These have just a tiny bit of support at the arch which feels great. After wearing them two or three times with socks I wore them out this evening without socks and they were fine although I did not do a lot of walking around. They run true to size in length but not width. I normally wear a D medium but after reading reviews I ordered a wide which worked out well. There is plenty of cushioning for boat shoes, better than some that I have had. I have not had the squeaking issue that some reviewers mentioned. The rawhide laces are a bit stiff but should soften with use. Ok, the negative: the color is like a burgundy-ish brown and the glossy sheen makes them look plastic and a bit cheap. I think some knocking about will break the leather in and add some distress to its appearance which will be a good thing because you will then be able to tell that they are leather. As for durability only time will tell but for the price I am quite satisfied. All in all I think these are the best boat shoes that you will find for this price. I am giving them five stars for comfort and three for style due to the glossy, plastic looking finish.

Very good comfortable shoes. Good foot bed padding. However I gave a 3 star Overall rating because the leather squeaks, rather loudly. After wearing them for several months the squeaking has diminished but is still audible.

The looks are okay, pretty much what the images show. It's quite comfortable for a boat shoe. My biggest complaint is that they squeak. I keep waiting for the squeak to "wear off," but so far it hasn't after a couple of weeks.

I bought these shoes as they were a bit less money than similar ones from Sperry and others. On the first shipment, the thread holding the upper together broke the first time I wore it. Zappos replaced it, of course. The problem did not reoccur. However, the shoe makes noise on tile flooring and is narrower than advertised. I will go back to Sperry next time. In this case, one gets what one pays for.

I am disappointed in this shoe. I have had this exact model number of Dockers for several years and loved the shoe but this time it is not living up to its past quality, style and construction. The sole is too large for the shoe, as though it is the sole for the next size up. The leather has very little grain & looks like plastic. The laces are thin and brittle and do not hold a knot. I have very wide feet and a high instep and the shoes fit very well and are comfortable. However I would not buy them again due to the flaws listed above. Was this a mfgr's 'second'?

Not my favorite boat shoes. They look good out of the box, but the leather took a long time to break in. They also squeaked whenever I moved until I put some saddle soap on top of the tongue. About the time the leather was soft enough to be comfortable, the sole began to separate. This seems to be a problem with many boat shoes, since the stitching wears through quickly on many make, e.g. Sperry, also wear out fast. The Dockers decomposed very quickly once they started to separate. Unfortunately, the tops were still in great shape, so I had to throw them out.
