I bought these shoes for my 74-year-old dad, because he didn't believe that shoes could be purchased over the internet. Dad was looking for a new pair of Hush Puppy Mall Walkers to replace his very old pair. He had already wasted a couple weekends driving from shoe store to shoe store in vain. Finally I had him describe his shoes and tell me his size. Within five minutes, my order was placed with Zappos. Before the end of the day, the shoes were on their way to his house in Ohio. "What happens if they don't fit?" he asked. "You can return them for free," I said. He was delighted, but skeptical. To be clear, these shoes are exactly what my dad had before. But I asked him to help me with this review anyway. Me: How would you rate this product overall? Dad: Well, I wanted the shoe, didn't I? I like it. Me: How would you rate the comfort of this product? Dad: If they weren't comfortable, I wouldn't want the dang things. Me: But how would you describe them to people who haven't worn the shoes before? Dad: They're comfortable enough for me to push wheelchairs around the nursing home (his volunteer work) for five hours straight, if that's what you're asking. Me: How would you rate the style of this product? Dad: They're shoes! They're not supposed to be stylish. They're just supposed to work. Me: Did this shoe feel true to size? Dad: It's my size. Me: Did this shoe have excellent moderate or no arch support? Dad: Listen, these are good shoes, and they last a long time. They are exactly like my old shoes, except this pair is not worn out. I would buy them again tomorrow, except I don't know how to order things off the internet.

Initially, I purchased an 8.5 and had to return them because I usually buy up an inch because the shoes I normally receive from other online stores run smaller. These shoes can be worn with a thick sock or a thin sock, but if you have a moderate to high arch, you will need to purchase an insole. This shoe is definitely meant for walking because there is no breaking-in period required. It is a comfortable shoe and after spending a full day with these shoes on, they already feel like a glove. Even though they are classified as a medical shoe for people with diabetic neuropathy and such. Even so, they are very stylish and can be worn with a nice sport coat, suit or jeans. They are very versatile and I recommend them.

Not the prettiest, but very comfortable - Great service as usual from Zappos. 3rd or 4th shoe I purchased through this site. The Mall Walker is fairly plain looking. But the shoe is very light (similar to a light running shoe) and very comfortable. I do a significant amount of walking to and from work. Second week I had them, I wore them to the theme parks in Atlanta. Shoes replaced the Hush Puppy "GUS" also very comfortable.

These are great shoes if you want comfort. I wear them to work and have 5 pairs one for each day.

The shoes arrived in time and they fit as I expected them to. The shipping was upgraded on one of my orders at no cost to me.

These are the best fitting, most comfortable shoes I've owned. I can wear them all day with a lot of walking, and my feet are not sore or feeling worn out. This site has great choices, especially for narrow feet.

My 2nd purchase from Zappos, wow what a fantastic shoe, I really love these for my extra wide feet. I bough the 13-5E, along with a pair of Propet Life Walker 13-5E. Both shoes had good/accurate length (size 13). But the Hush Puppies had excellent extra width (very comfortable for my wide feet), the Propet's were way to narrow. I'm definitely keeping these, they fit my extra wide feet really great, and are very comfortable for wearing all day at work.

The service was very prompt and the shoes were great. They are durable and high quality, very comfortable, required little to no breaking in and my husband loves to wear them.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. No breaking in or anything. The style, comfort and looks are exactly what I need. I have bought three pair so far and will continue to do so.

I have been wearing Hush Puppies for so many years I don't remember. I always buy a style similar to these, black leather, very comfortable, and can be worn for any occasion, casual or dress. So, I guess I heart these shoes, but had to replace the laces because they were too short. The last pair I bought in 2002, style just like this one, so they lasted 8 years of everyday wear!

Because of Chemo Neuropathy, I needed a very soft shoe. The size 11 narrow was still a little too wide. I inserted a double insole pad and it is absolutely perfect. Very comfortable. They seem very well built. I\'ve experienced very little slippage from the sole.

I love to shop Zappos. I get the largest selection possible in shoes, and I have never been surprised. These Hush Puppies were just what I expected. High quality, and wide and comfortable. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on, and they will be perfect for this summer\'s trip to London. Zappos is the only place to buy shoes.

The Hush Puppies Mall Walkers are great. Very comfortable and very light. I have worn this model quite a few years and I believe this is my 4th time around. I have tried other Hush Puppy models, but always come back to the Mall Walkers. They have been the most comfortable. I wear a size 10M and have no special requirements.

I've ordered shoes from Zappos twice already and each time it has been an excellent experience. I was able to find a shoe for my husband who has a very unusual size. I ordered over the weekend and received it the first thing Monday Morning. Great service, great shoes.

As always, I received the shoes that I ordered within 2 business days and the fit was as expected. I am very impressed with the shipping charges both to and from (no charge for shipping and returns). This only goes to show what a great and reputable company Zappos is and they live up to their guarantee.
