Great shoes for toddlers - I love the Stride Rite shoes anyway and was looking for some sturdy sandals for a vacation and for summer. My son has wide feet and other brands just don't offer the extra width. These are great. He seems to be very comfortable in them and asks to put them on frequently. He especially likes the bottoms - the sea star and fish are very cute - I like them too! Thanks Zappos for the great service.

Love the sandle. My two year old loves these shoes! He is very active and hard on shoes, but they hold up well. THis is his third pair of stride rite sandles and they are worth the money.

Very Cute Sandal! This sandal is lightweight with lots of cusioning. It looks very cute on and I love that it comes in wide widths. Stride Rite shoes tend to run a little smaller than other shoes that I've bought so I always order a half size larger. My 21 month old son loves wearing these shoes and doesn't try to take them off like some other shoes he has. Overall, a super shoe!

Another Reliable Stride Rite - This is the third pair of these shoes my son has worn. He is now two and has worn this style since his first steps. We live in a warm climate so this is a year-round shoe for him. When he goes up a size, we order a new pair! These shoes are easy to put on; they protect his toes, and he loves the fish/starfish design on the sole. Recommended!

These sandals tend to be a little stiff, and my son prefers to wear his Salt Water sandals instead. But overall, the shoe is well made and seems like a more cushy, sturdy option than other types of sandals.

My Little Man Loves this Shoe - I bought this pair of shoes for my son who has just learned to walk. He loved them from the moment he put them on. The only problem was that they scuffed very quickly and easily.

Great dress up sandals that are comfortable - Great dressy sandal that has very comfortable leather. However, my son's toes don't go all the way to the front because of his high instep. Otherwise great for church and special outings. Width is wonderful since my son has a wide foot. Leather is extremely soft.

A nice and stylish leather sandal for a toddler - I like Stride Rite for my son, as they wear like iron and because their leather interiors are well designed to keep the kids' feet from getting sweaty. The First Mate was the only brown one I could get at the time my son needed them (his growth spurts don't coincide with sales or seasons). I would have preferred their Guppy, as it has one more crosswise strap and the straps are all less wide because of that, but First Mate does well enough. My son wears them cheerfully (is not old enough to tell me "Gee, Mommy, these feel nice," but I take his wearing them comfortably as a sign) and they get compliments. As with most leather sandals for children, these can be worn casually or for a dressy summer occasion. With Stride Rite, if your child has wide feet, get the wide size. They are not narrower than sized, but they aren't any wider than sized either.

Good shoe - Overall like the shoe. My son got a small blister on the side the first time he wore them (near the strap).

Cute shoe for the little one in your life - This is a sweet little sandal for the little one in your life. My son has wide feet and it was hard to find a shoe that fit correctly. He has been wearing them for the a few weeks now. They seem to be comfortable for him to walk in. My only reservations are that they rubbed the back of his foot and he got a little sore from them at first until he broke them in. Also, when it's hot and his feet sweat they stain his feet. Overall a good shoe in a difficult to find size. I would buy them again.

Good, but some blisters - I always rely on Stride Rite to make a quality shoe. This sandal has been good so far (2 weeks in), but my little guy has developed some blisters on the tops and sides of his feet. I'm hoping this is just the breaking in period. I've never had a child develop blisters from SR sandals before, but I've never had a crazy runner like this little guy!

Cute sandal for nursery-age boy - The sandal itself is a little hard, as opposed to the softer suede version that is available in brown but not navy. My son had to break them in wearing socks, but now says they are comfortable. If you want a dressier navy sandal for a nursery-age boy without breaking the bank, this is the sandal for you.

Loved the shoe, but size seemed smaller than marked - This sandal looks great on my son's feet, but I was surprised by the sizing. He just started wearing a 6, so his other shoes in that size are a little big and will last the entire summer season. I purchased this sandal in a 6 and it fit exactly and may not last the entire summer as intended. I recommend purchasing a half size up than originally intended. This was my first Stride Rite purchase, so I am not sure if all Stride Rite shoes have the same issue. Overall, I like the shoe and my son LOVES them.

Nice sandal - I love the way the shoe looks and my 18 month old has no complaints. He runs in them quite well...he's worn them with socks while visiting warmer climates. They are a very casual and a very dressy sandal.

Toddler sandal - This is a great sandal: very sturdy and made of leather. Our son owned a pair last summer and was wearing them everyday during 3-4 months.

Cute - I ordered these because Stride Rite is one of the few that offer wide children's sizes. My son seems to love them, although I wish the wide sizes were made/offered in brown (only navy is offered).

Great fit - It's hard to find wide shoes for toddlers, sandals especially. These are a great fit and look good on his feet.

Great Little Boy's Sandal - Shoe is very cute and gives my 14 month old nice steady bottoms and support for walking. There seems to be one little spot that rubs his foot but I think it is just the way his foot is shaped and seems to have gotten much better with more wearing.

Better wear socks till they break in - Great looking shoe but the top strap rubs the top of the foot as the leather is pretty stiff.

We've LOVED every pair of Stride Rite shoes we've tried for my kid's freakishly wide feet. As he's grown (he's now age 2) his feet have narrowed some and I was looking forward to being able to go with the single wide width. They fit in the width but just barely. Last year he wore the Reid sandals in the double wide width and he had the perfect amount of room. These are awfully narrow for being called a "wide width" at all. Very surprised - they're no wider than his regular width See Kai Run sandals.

Good, but not the best - My 26 month old has been wearing Stride Rite. When we saw these sandals, we thought they would be a good replacement for the Baby Guppy (they no longer come in his size, a 9). We were wrong. Firstly, the insole is NOT leather. After a day of running and playing, his feet smell. Secondly, the padding around the velcro is thin, giving him blisters. The sole is not as flexible as we had hoped.

Too narrow for chubby feet - My son has small wide feet and could not even get these shoes on even though we had purchased the wide size.

Cute shoes but... Initially, they looked cute and comfy when my 2 1/2 year old boy was wearing them with socks. Then it got hot and we tried them without socks and he got blisters on his little toe (he is very active and runs a lot). The shoes feel soft though, but I am wondering if in the two weeks since we bought them his feet may have gotten bigger...
