Boots fit true to size in both the length and width. The "WIDE" nicely accommodates my "EE" feet. Boots are initially stiff and will require some careful breaking in prior to taking on a significant hike but this is to be expected with this type of heavier mountaineering/backpacking boot. Overall I am impressed with the quality of materials and construction. I look forward to many miles of comfortable mountain trail use from these boots.

I tried on a few different boots and found the fit, construction, and stiffness to be nearly identical to the Scarpa SL Activ with the exception that it had a larger roomier toe box. Ultimately I found the Scarpa Kinesis GTX to have more supple materials and a overall a better value. The weight was 4 lbs 9 oz for a size 12.5.
I'd also recommend:

Great Boots! I had a couple of the lace-up hooks break after a a years or so. The boots were only used for hiking and mountaineering and have seen their fair share of abuse both on rocky mountains and rocky saltwater beaches. Waterproofing has held up and were warm with wool socks @-10F in mountain/glacial snow fields. The souls have held up nicely.

I ordered a 9.5 E- Wide. There was a "wide" sticker pasted on the outer box but the label and the boots are 9.5 M
Not helpful when they try to pass off a regular fit when I asked for a wide.
