I bought a pair of shoe and needed them by Wednesday and I bought them on late Friday night Saturday morning. The regular shipping showed 5-10 days so I payed for the 3 day shipping. I did not get confirmation until Tuesday that the shoes shipped and I did not get them until Thursday. If you say 3 day shipping and you charge for it, it should be 3 day shipping not 4. The shoes should have gone out Monday and I would have had them when I needed them.

I bought the "Original Boat Shoe" in 13 W size which is my normal size.
The shoe was both too short and too narrow. I could not even get it on my foot.
I am very disappointed with the current version of this shoe. I have had many pairs in the past.

Bought these as a gift, and was totally embarrassed when I was shown how they were holding up. The tops still looked new and the soles, at first glance, also looked new. However, the traction/flexibility ridges on the bottom cracked clear through the soles in multiple (many) places - letting water in. They are pretty much useless except in dry weather. Really disappointed in the quality. I expected more from Sperry.

Everytime I come to your website and look for shoes, I find a great selection and am always interested in buying but I am always disapointed because my selection never is offered in extra wide. I need extra wide and unless I am the only person in the world that requires extra width it puzzles me why they are not offered. I know I am not the only one. As a matter of fact I know a lot of guys that wear extra wide shoes.

I would love to see the shoe but the package never made it to my home. Sperry is not following up. I will go elsewhere for shoes.

I was expecting the same quality and durability like my original sperries 25 years ago. I bought a pair of this original boat shoes 14 months ago and now the rubber sole starts to brittle and big cracks appeared crosswise along it's sole and the upper leather deformed easily even i just wear it occasionally only for mall strolling and when driving . are they the same company that made the original sperry boat shoes 25 years ago ? the quality is not the same as it use to be .

There are ridges inside the shoes on the soles that run across my heels and make the shoes unbearable to wear. They are beyond painful and they ridges get worse the more I wear them, not better. Why would you design a shoe like that?
Also, they are supposed to be non-slip, but the soles are rock hard and very slippery. I feel like I'm going to slip and hurt myself.

I have had these shoes for about a month now nad they still hurt everytime i put them on. I have them on everyday for about 6-8 hours each time, so they should be broke in and comfortable by now but there not. Also they are falling apart on the inside already. The insert type pad in the shoe is peeling up and irritates my foot, so i mess with it witch im sure will make it worse.
Deffinatly the worst shoes i have ever bought for, and way over priced for what you get.

I ordered a pair a year ago and they fell apart. Sperry use to be a high quality shoe, and now that they are being made in . . . well, the quality is terrible. I will never buy another pair off the Internet because now it is too late to return them. I only wore them twice a month to work for casual Friday.
I wish companies would start making products in the USA again. I use to buy the Sperry brand all the time in the 1980s, what happened???

Luv this shoe, have worn this on and off for 30+ years since college. Great shoe with shorts, pants, anywhere anytime.
Well I have a pair that are only 1 1/2 years old--and only wear during the summer---and the soles are cracking severely. I was shocked--I have worn previous siders, day and night---in the lake, sailing , in the snow etc--- I would have to literally "wear them out". Never a quality issue. These are shot.
Maybe I'm delusional and unrealistic, but only two summers and completely cracked seems poor quality--but maybe that's just as long as they last.
Aside---have a pair of the white suede, thicker sole, these may last longer.

I've purchased these shoes in the past and was very satisfied. However, the last pair, purchased within the last year, was not the same quality of materials. The sole was extremely slippery on all surfaces.

I've purchased many pairs of the "Authentic Orignal Boat Shoe" over the past several years and never had any issues, however the last pair I purchased I was very disappointed. The sole was extremely slippery on all surfaces and after a year the sole actually cracked across the bottom.Very poor quality.

The soles of these shoes are disappointing, and certainly not what the original topsiders had. I have had two pair in the past 4 years, and after 1 1/2 to 2 years, the soles have become so slippery that they are completely unusable as a boat shoe. Initially, they grip well, but after a season they loose the "grippiness" and become as slippery as ice skates on ice. When I inquire about this with the Sperry company, they assure me that they have never had this complaint before. I get the feeling that they are hiding something.

I have been buying this shoe since the late '80's. Sperry used to make a comfortable, durable shoe that lasted for years. However, the last three pairs that I bought have fallen apart, faster each time. They now use very poor materials. The sole material wears faster and separates from the shoe; the last pair separated in under 6 months of moderate wear. I used to love these things, but I will never buy another.

I love Sperry's but this show is the most uncomfortable Top-Sider I have ever owned. It provided no support and after walking in it for more than 1/2 hour my entire body was sore.
I have a pair that looks just like this one but with much more support and comfort.

Be careful ordering online. Mine came scuffed up and scratched. I feel like they dump defective shoes on online customers and hope they'll be too lazy to return them.

I purchased this particular top sider in a local West Marine retail store in the spring of 2011. What I found unusual is the ribbed sole. The color is an off white not the clear white I expected, and the rubber composition is dense and hard to the touch providing an extremely slick surface both to feel and to walk upon. This particular shoe has turned out to be highly unsafe as I have slipped and fallen more than once notwithstanding the ground or floor surface. I will attempt to have Sperry examine my pair to prevent others from going or staying in circulation. I am doubtful of success, however.

The soles of these shoes are so slippery that I wouldn't dare to go on a boat in them! the rubber seems to be hard and resists gripping on any surface. I even tried scuffing them with sandpaper to no avail. They are totally worthless for anything but a wipeout.

The leather was so thin that when the shoe was put on the top flap folded under. I had to untie it, pull it up, and re-tie, defeating the purpose of a slip-on shoe. I returned them to Sperry and got a better, but not perfect pair. I'm not going to get Sperry anymore.

The construction is cheap feeling, there is lots of rough sewing that was not cut down to the leather, so there are threads that poke your feet, and after ordering these shoes for a second time in a width up from 13M to 13W, they still do not fit. These were not made for truly big feet. That is so disappointing. The cost is paying for brand recognition alone. I have found better shoes before at Kohl's that were not brand name. The high quality images on this site are misleading.

I will probably throw these shoes away. I wore them around the house and liked the look of them. However, once I went outside, I realized that the bottom of the shoe was way too thin. I feel every little thing that I walk on. In addition, since the soles are so thin, it's just not comfortable if you need to walk any distance.

I ordered a pair of the oatmeal colored ones for my boyfriend. When they came in they already had multiple scuff marks on both shoes and when put side by side the tops of each shoe did not match in color. One of the shoes was darker than the other.

I have been searching for a replacement for my old "original Boat shoes" in every retail store around and have not found anything like the old ones - the numbers inside are:
0195214
D-3 CH08
What I ordered from you was a pair of Amaretto shoes which bled all over my feet and socks,
Where can i get a pair of 0195214

My wife and I ordered shoes on line as an anniversary gift to each other. We own a large power boat and thought these shoes would be great on and off the boat. They shipped quickly, in time for us to enjoy them the next weekend on the boat. Unfortunately, my shoes were way too narrow to be comfortable. I tried stretching them out and wore them for about a week, however even if they do stretch to be comfortable enough to wear, the leather insert came unglued after just 2 wearings and the athletic shoe insert that was under the leather insert came unglued after another day or two. They look like the Top-Siders of old, but I believe that ship has sailed.
