A bit slippery on land, wet rocks, and pavement, but good on board.

Nice shoe for the price. Fast shipping. A little narrower in the toe than my other Top-Siders, so made it feel (when new) a little tight and short compared to my others.

Pretty much exactly as expected. Classic look, good quality, and they’ll get better with age. Downside is lack of support, again as expected. Wear them as a casual dress shoe so it’s not much of an issue. Also least expensive of the boat shoe brands, which baffles me since they defined the category.

I ordered a pair of Sperry Top-Sider Authentic Originals and they were delivered to my door in less than 24 hours with standard shipping! Great service Zappos! Shoes are good but could offer more arch support.

Great shoe, but the color is much lighter than shown in picture. Almost looks like a moccasin.

Great shoe, Normally do not wear shoes with out Peds or socks but did so with these and found them very comfortable. Would not take a hiking trip with them but for general walking and to be stylish, a great shoe

This is your typical Sperry Top-sider in a honey brown, which is lighter than the usual Top-sider brown. The quality is consistent with other Sperry shoes that I have purchased in the past.

I have a wide foot. I ordered 3X width. Shoes were tight when I first put them on. They are still a little tight after wearing them for two weeks. Hopefully they will break in. Other shoes like this that come in a larger width are considerably more expensive.

I bought these shoes for my husband for Father's Day. He loves them. Very well made, but he says they are on the narrow side so he would get the wide next time. Good quality.

I\'ve owned these shoes for almost a month and they\'ve worked out just fine. In terms of comfort they pinched my right foot a little bit but I think that\'s because it was swollen and I had yet to fully break it in. In terms of style, it\'s your classic Sperry Top-Sider and there\'s not much more you can ask for. It looks a little more worn after a few wearings than I would have liked, but it\'s all within reason and some people like a used look.

The dye on the inside of the shoes comes off and stains light colored socks.

Classic shoe and immediately comfortable. Perfect for the beach or shore. Quite thin soles, so not great for walking.

A perennial favorite. So comfy and can be dressed up with khakis/jeans or down with shorts. You won't find a better boat shoe for the price. The only drawback is that the insides smell incredibly foul when these are worn without socks. However this is easily dealt with by purchasing a pair of Odor Eaters or Dr. Scholl's odor & sweat absorbing insoles about every 6 months. Love my Sperry Top-Siders!

In 1972 I was racing sailboats and I bought my first Topsider. At the time it was recognized as the shoe to wear on wet slippery decks. I haven\'t raced on a sailboat in twenty some odd years but am now on my fifth pair of the same shoe. Why? I hate the heavy cleated shoes that have become popular because they are so big and chunky and track in mud, rocks, sand from the beach. I like the Topsiders for the casual look, easy fit, light weight and the sole which doesn\'t track in all the ground stuff from out doors. And they like water, don\'t mind getting wet in the surf. Just hose \'em off. Great to wear around the house, in town, ready for the beach or the boat.

They are a traditional boat shoe - just what you'd expect to get. They definitely aren't walking shoes, but they look good for casual wear.

They are a really nice pair of shoes. The sizes (lengthwise) seem a bit larger than usual. I had to go for a wide version of my shoe -- the regular was way too narrow. I think a lot of people might have that problem as my feet are not that wide. They're very comfortable. You can just slip them on and off. They have great grip most of the time. However, they're really not very good on snow or ice. They slip like you wouldn't believe. Kinda funny for me being in northern MN. The craftsmanship on this shoe is really good. They're very well made, all stitched and quality leather throughout.

These shoes are well built. They are comfortable and classy. However, I was disappointed to find that the Herringbone cut sole seemed to be shallow cut compared to the original. Of course, that was many years ago. So, is the sole truly like the original?

The shoe is great: very comfortable, very durable and a great pairing with Florida\'s business casual lifestyle. Zappos made it very easy and inexpensive enough that I ordered 2 pair.\r\n

I like the shoes, but the real star was the service I received. I had to return a pair of size 9. Zappos is one of the best I have dealt with in returns and also in getting the appropriate size to me almost overnight. I will be back.

This order was to replace an existing pair of Top-Siders. The order process was very easy and delivery was prompt, pretty much a no brainer. I'll definitely use Zappos in the future. If only they could deliver me a pair of size 12 white bucks for my Pasadena Tournament of Roses duties, I'd be all set! Having a tough time finding a pair.

Good shoe, fits very well, and I was very pleased with the service. This color looks great casual and could conceivably be worn as a dress shoe, depending on the event.

These shoes need no introduction; a top-sider is a top-sider. The Navy/White color way works with nearly everything and, in my opinion, is the most versatile and aesthetically pleasing version. Wear them up or down; I've rarely had a problem with them looking anything less than stellar. However, there is an initial break-in period that can be pretty painful. (Don't wear them again until your blisters heal!) The break-in period took me about 2-3 weeks. After that, the shoes are significantly more comfortable and painless. They are not running sneakers or athletic shoes, so the arch support isn't particularly large. Overall, I highly recommend them, specifically the navy/white color way. You will be getting compliments left and right while avoiding the style of boat shoe everyone else wears. If you're okay with the break-in period and understand that this is a shoe not to be worn with socks (ever!), then go for it.

The Sperry Top-Sider is an authentic piece of American footwear that unfortunately, until recently, had been lost to the prepsters. Now however it is common place to see these on folks from walks of life and various styles. I choose the original colorway and do not regret it one bit. Quality has gone down in recent years, but nonetheless one of the best boat shoes on the market and fit true to size.

This shoe runs pretty true to size, so I d be wary ordering a half size smaller. They don't stretch that much. I wear a 10, and ordered a 9.5, and they were too small. Also, some of the stitching is pulling out around the leather upper already. I've had them for two months, so that's a little disappointing. Overall though, I love the shoe, and will be ordering another color soon. Very comfortable, and very versatile (and grip very well on the boat decks). And what can be said about Zappos customer service? Shopping with them is by far the best internet shopping experience I have ever had which is why I come back time and time again.

Verified Purchase
Firstly, my shopping experience was top-notch; future purchases will be made from Zappos. I initially bought these shoes in Sahara and they were much lighter in color than they appeared on the web. I switched them for the Amaretto style in order to get a color that is more traditionally brown. I also ended up getting them a 1/2 size smaller than my normal sneaker size; if you're wearing them w/o socks I would recommend this. Free shipping both ways - so it was no problem; my new order came next day! They're not broken in yet but are already comfortable. I thought I may end up with a blister or two before they feel ok, but right out of the box they feel great.
