I got these as my first pair of boat shoes for something nice to wear in the summer without socks. The styling of the shoes is excellent, and they look great with shorts. When I first ordered, I got my regular size, but they were much too large. I ordered a full size down and they fit much better. They're currently a bit uncomfortable on the bone on the top of my foot, but hopefully that goes away as they're broken in.

I have long wanted Topsiders but could not find them in women's size 9 in extra-wide. I took a chance and ordered the men's size 8 in EEE and it was an acceptable substitute -- a touch longer than needed but appropriately wide, but not so wide it slips off my heel. I'm very pleased. Now please get them to make some fancier styles or colors for me.

Very thin sole. Also more narrow than you might think. I had to exchange WIDE for XTRA WIDE when most brands' WIDE works fine for me. They break in very fast (3 or 4 days).

Shoes arrive with laces tied in a normal bow. To tie them as pictured here (without bow showing), unlace from top 2 eyes, then put laces back through the holes toward the inside of the shoe. Tie knots on each lace just under the eyes to keep the laces from slipping back out and then tuck the excess laces under the footbed. Hopes this helps as I was confused when I first got them and they looked different than the picture.

I buy these for my brother as he could not care much about what type of shoe he wears. Unfortunately, the last pair ripped in half from the sole and they lasted about half a year. Other than that and a slippery grip, he loves them. Easy to maintain and clean and they always look great.

I've tried other boat shoes and decided go go back to the real thing, as Sperry had always been top notch even though expensive.
I bought elsewhere to get a better price but they sent the wrong size and I sent them back. I need an extra wide and although the box from the other place said extra wide, the shoes themselves said just wide - and they didn't fit.
The Sperry Site shoes were the EE size I ordered but they were still snug width wise - seems the shoes are a little smaller than they used to be at the same size - or my 68 year old feet are getting bigger?
I ordered a shoe stretcher to help me out, but after about 2 weeks of occasional use I can finally wear them all day. But they will destroy a pair of white socks with the bleeding of color from inside the shoe onto the socks..

The shoe was as expected, except they ran a little large. I was sad to see on the website that there are no exchanges, I would have to return and re-buy. So I am sending them back, but will not purchase again. That would be 3x the shipping. Will look for another shoe elsewhere.

All my Top Siders are 9M and fit perfectly from the get go. With this model I had to go up to 9W for the right fit, but then that was it. Perfectly comfortable right off the box and quite soft and stylish to boot. I save these for my white shorts in summertime. Bear in mind that unlike other Top Sider models I own, the "originals" are a bit light on the padding, so if you need further support go for a more modern model.

I recommend this shoe with reservations. They are supposed to be black/white, however, they look navy to me, and everyone else who I've asked. But still a good quality shoe and I can live with the color.

I ordered a size 15 wide, my usual size and the shoe was too big. I ended up getting the 13 wide and they were perfect. I wear them for boating and walking around town. Great product and well made.

Nice looking, simple shoe that is great to wear in summer inplace of sandals or flip flops.
Nice well oiled leather for water resistance.
The insole does come unglued quickly.
Not a ton of support or rigidity in the shank.

The shoes are quite comfortable. Finding them in a 14 is quite difficult. The color is a little lighter than the image but acceptable.
I'd also recommend:
I love my Reef sandals

Bought the shoe prior to a trip to Europe. The shoes were so comfortable that I wore them every day...didn't even need my sneakers!

Im a major Sneakerhead with hundreds of shoes but I've always liked how Sperrys looked casually so I had to buy these. I plan on buying more colors soon.

Very comfortable and good looking boat shoe. Someone said in a review to get a half size down, since these are often worn without socks. I Definitely recommend that. The only reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is that the leather inside the shoe does not extend to the toes, and I feel it starting to come up a bit.I'll see if it's a problem later on. Only an issue if you wear it without socks though.

Got a 9.5 but it's a bit big. I should've got a a 9; it's a bit loose and since it has a large opening you notice the looseness more than if you get a regular shoe that's too big.

I just received the Sahara's. They were much lighter than the picture shows. This appears to be a common theme I'm starting to run into with Zappos. I returned the last pair I bought for a similar reason, but will probably keep these because I need them immediately. Other than the problem with the color, it was a smooth purchase.

This is my first pair of Top-Siders, and I have to say that I am glad I finally sprung for a pair. They are just as comfortable with socks (for those with dress codes) as they are without socks (as they are intended to be worn.) I have also received a few complements on my new style.
My only complaint is a slight quality issue in that the tongue on the left shoe is about 1/4" shorter than the right, which isn't very noticeable when wearing but I could feel the difference for the first couple of days. It's a hassle to get things shipped to wear I live so I opted not to return them and try for a different pair.

This show is my dads favorite. He loves the look and fit of these shoes. He has had many pairs of them and would buy them again.

i've had my pair from 2009 and its been with me everywhere during the summer. fishing, beaches, and pool parties. ive never been the type to like a pair of shoes you dont wear socks in but this one is different. The only bad part is from the age the sole has started to turn yellow.

Had some issues with ordering the correct pair because my store didn't have the oatmeal in stock. I ended up being the sent the wrong color so I had to make another trip to return it. So that's why I'm knocking off a point. I usually wear a 10, but Sperry tend to run big so ordering the 9.5 was a perfect fit. As usual it took a few wears to break them in and now they are very comfortable. In terms of style I replaced the laces with white ones for summer. Way better!

I love the style ans color (Sahara) of these shoes but BEWARE of size. I wear a 9 1/2 in athletic shoes and I had to order an 8 1/2. The regular width was way to narrow. I don't consider myself as having a wide foot and I have never had issues with other shoes. The wide fits me but I feel like I could have ordered it the next wider one for comfort.

I've had these shoes for a few months. Overall I like the shoes but in the right shoe where the innersole meets the sole on the inside of the shoe (just behind the ball of my foot) the is an annoying bump. Over time I kind of got used to the feeling until the innersole starting coming un-glued and moving under the back part of my foot. When I purchased my shoes I was under the assumption that Sperry make a quality long lasting product, but in my situation that was not the case. Either there is a defect with my shoe or the quality of the shoe was not up to par with expectations.
