Keen Monterey - I wore my Keen Monterey’s right out of the box and spent a week hiking the trails on the Front Range just west of Boulder, CO. They were remarkably comfortable, provided great traction on the rocky and steep trails, and the toe-guard was quite functional in preventing injury. A little chafing on the inside arches was relieved by putting on light socks. Now, I wear my Keens as often as I can around town. I am extremely happy with this pair and am seriously thinking of getting another as it seems this model/style is being discontinued.

Keen Monterey - Again, Keen has hit a home run! Great shoe, great fit. I have found Keen shoes to be a little schizo in their sizing. Some of the shoes I wear a half size larger than normal and some of the shoes are right on size. But overall, these are the best shoes I have ever bought or worn.

My favorite shoes!!! I have a pair of the Monterey style already and wear them to work often. Was afraid the style would be discontinued so bought a second pair to have in my closet - in reserve. They wear well and are really comfortable. I have five pairs of Keen's - and am always recommending them to colleagues.

Kickin Around Kabul - Great conformable shoes…good toe box and fits true.

Keens rule - Order up a size in Keens and you'll be a happy camper. Love, love, love this shoe. Also the insole is removable, which is great if you have to put an orthotic in.

I Love Keen Shoes! This is my second pair of Keen shoes...and once again, I love them! I love the way they look...stylish, cute, a little bit funky, and at the same time comfortable and practical. I wear them every day. They do feel a half size smaller than marked, but for me that is great, as I wear a 4 1/2.

Keen Monterey - I have one other pair of Keen's and this shoe is just as comfortable and well-made as my other pair. I LOVE KEENS!

Love Keens - Since I discovered Keens a couple of years ago, I wear them whenever I can. This shoe is comfortable straight out of the box. I have a variety of foot pains when I wear other shoes, but not when I wear these. I also appreciate that Keen makes a size 10 1/2.

Very comfortable shoe - I purchased 5 other pairs of shoes before I found these very comfortable ones. Great for both standing around in and also for walking. Virtually no break-in time necessary. I have a hard time finding shoes that give me the support I need and do not feel as if they are cutting across the top of my foot since my arches and ankles are somewhat fallen. Zappos is great with their return policy and all the reviews which helped me better understand what kind of shoes my feet needed.

Great shoe - Yet another pair of great Keens. My friend had the Monterey’s and I admired from afar. I ordered them when my size became available. Keens are expensive but worth the investment. With Keens I order 1/2 size larger always. They fit great and get lots of compliments.

Great Summer Shoe - I broke these in at an outdoor trade show in 100 degree weather. They were totally comfortable and cool.

Good alternative to open toe summer shoes - I bought these shoes for my mom to wear in the hot summer weather in Southern California. These are good alternatives to open toe shoes. She found them very comfortable and stylish to wear with capri pants and shorts.

Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a part-time job at Wal-mart, so can afford my shoe habit. This is an amazingly comfortable shoe. Be sure to order a half size larger than you usually wear. I have had co-workers and customers stop and ask, Where did you get those shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my 4th Keens. Keens are an addiction.

Wow! Thanks Zappos for five star customer service! I wanted lightweight and versatile sandals. Amazingly, they grip on damp, steep grass when I mow the lawn, which is just what I needed. As far as the sizing, the 8 felt too small and the 8.5 too big. I called Keen and talked to someone there who offered some helpful advice. She said that a shoe that is too big will never get smaller, but the smaller of the two shoes will compress in the foot bed and stretch in the upper. I wore the 8s around the house and found that the thing that concerned me, my big toe touching the top of the shoe, soon started to change. The 8.5s were loose all over, too loose for the active stuff I wanted to do. So, I chose the size 8 and love them. I have taken to wearing them at my retail job and it is true what they say, I don't want to take them off once I get home! Wow!

My first pair, but not my last! This is my first pair of Keens, and I absolutely love them. There is virtually no break in period...they fit perfectly!

No break in time- very comfortable!! I tried on the Keen Newport's and took a 9 in those (although I am usually an 8.5) so I ordered a 9 in these and they fit perfectly. Like a glove, actually. I wore them around the house very comfortably without socks, but as it is chilly here, I wore them the rest of the day with socks. I was worried they would fit differently with/without socks but I just adjusted the buckle and the fit is perfect. Wearing these is like wearing slippers. I am a big fan of Birkenstocks and these are as comfortable as a well-worn in pair of Birks. I was also worried that they wouldn't provide enough airiness as they are kind of strappy- but they really are very much sandals and will be very comfortable on the hottest days. Sturdy and well made, and I LOVE the look too. My first pair of Keens and I am a fan!

Heaven for miserable feet - I love these shoes!!! They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I opened the box, put them on, and have not taken them off since. (Well, okay, I bought a second pair in another color; so technically, I have taken them off, but only to put on another pair!) They are extremely comfortable for those on their feet all day- much better than Birkenstocks, as this footbed is supportive but has some cushion to it. I have sensitive, boney, wide (bunioned) feet with a need for support, and these are the best. I will say that both pairs have now developed a bit of a squeak, but so what? (Initially I returned a pair because of said squeak, but now that both of these pairs do it, I just elected not to care. They are just too comfy.) If you're going to be on the beach, go for a more open pair, as these can trap sand due to the enclosed edge, but if you're in the city, you will not be disappointed. Plus, the madder brown color goes surprisingly well with a lot of different colors! Do get a half size larger than your usual size. I'm generally a 9, and the 91/2 fit great.

Great street to trail sandal - I usually wear this in the city but it's also good for light hiking and walking on the shore.

Monk sandal - Comfortable enough to wear sockless without any rubbing... sufficient space to allow for orthotic use...campy look... great with jeans…

Keen Monterey - Super comfortable show from the very first step. Great shoe for wide feet and those in need of arch support.

Love these! This shoe is both good looking and comfortable. This shoe does not come in narrow widths, and if you have a narrow foot, it is a bit wide. However, because it is so comfortable, and more refined looking than the more casual hiking sandals, I definitely recommend it. I hope that KEEN will make narrow widths soon. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've owned.

Very Comfortable and Look Great! This shoe ran a half size too large on me. I returned them for the next smaller size and it fits perfectly now. I have wider than usual feet and these fit me, so if you have narrow feet these probably won't work for you. I like the look of this shoe. The Bison color goes great with casual khaki colors.

Best ever!!! This is my first pair of Keen's and guaranteed they won't be my last!! Two more on their way. I'm on my feet a minimum of 12hrs. a day. My feet hurt terribly by the end of every day. Not any more!!These are wonderfully comfortable. Extra width for the toes is awesome. Can't say enough about them. Try a pair, you won't regret it. Zappos is the best.

Using the Keen Monterey with deformed feet. I had to go very easy in breaking them in. My heel is very narrow, so socks will have to take in a little of the extra space, but my toes are arthritic and go in all directions, so the space the shoe provides seems to be perfect for me so far.
